Carr’s is a hate crime, mental illness or not. If it was her mental illness talking, it wouldn’t repeat #Occupy Wall Street mantras. It would be, “the walls have eyes and are watching Charles Darwin and me debate the origin of life while my professor is planning how to kill me with microwaves through the TV.” Threatening to kill anyone or assaulting anyone is a crime, no matter what. No matter what the truth is, the media always tell us that the killers on college campuses are motivated by mental illness, so she must be isolated to avoid the next story she’s in: Gunman opens fire in biology class.
