Last month, millions of Americans watched as President Biden took the oath of office and, in a high-minded Inaugural Address, called for a new era of American unity. But plenty of other Americans weren’t paying attention to Mr. Biden’s speech. They were too busy watching YouTube videos alleging that the inauguration was a prerecorded hoax that had been filmed on a Hollywood soundstage. Or they were melting down in QAnon group chats, trying to figure out why former President Donald J. Trump wasn’t interrupting Mr. Biden’s speech to declare martial law and announce the mass arrest of satanic pedophiles. Or...

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal has issued a sweeping directive to state, county, and local law enforcement agencies to limit the type of assistance their officers can offer federal immigration authorities. The new rules, his office said, are designed to strengthen trust between police agencies and the state's diverse immigrant communities.

Right before the election, this is the third day in a row that Fox and Friends has been BLOCKED by Direct TV. Apparently it is going on all over the country, not just here in the Northeast. People are tuning in at that time before work, and Direct TV switches the channel to Fusion. They replace the screen with this message: "We are experiencing temporary technical difficulties. We apologize for the inconvenience." I've tried calling 3 times to complain, but they are not taking calls. Post to Twitter, Facebook, anywhere you can to keep the pressure on Direct TV. Rush...

With a day to go before Election Day, GOP gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino tried to connect with voters with the help of an online video invoking his dead son. Paladino said his desire to run for office came last year after his son Patrick died in a car accident.

January 16, 2010 Impressed with his energy and with hopes for his independence, we support Scott Brown in the special election for U.S. Senate. Although we do not agree with Brown's position on health care reform, voters should consider the whole package when they go to the polls Tuesday. And when we took a closer look at Brown and his platform, we liked what we saw. Brown is an independent Republican who supports President Obama's strategy in Afghanistan. He supports women's right to choose, though he opposes partial-birth abortion and believes in strong parental notification laws. On issues important to...

Let me confess: I really like New Jersey. No joke. My earliest memories are living on Alpha Avenue in Old Bridge, New Jersey. When I was eight, in the summer of ’68, my family moved. Today I live in Virginia, but just last year I detoured while driving to New York City and darted over to see the old Old Bridge neighborhood. It was nice. I enjoyed the scenery. And, thankfully, I didn’t have to pay their highest-in-the-nation taxes. Or contemplate their latest corruption scandal. I’ve been thinking about New Jersey because, like Virginia, the state holds its governor’s race...

With New Jersey Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine lagging in the polls, Republicans couldn’t be more enthusiastic about their chances of ousting him in November. But first they must settle an intraparty conflict over who’s best suited to do the job — former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie or former Bogota, N.J., Mayor Steve Lonegan. Republican gubernatorial candidates Steve Lonegan and Christopher J. Christie are working crowds at diners, boardwalks, and churches this weekend, wrapping up a primary race that became livelier and closer than many observers expected. It will end Tuesday, primary day, which will lead immediately into the general election. In November, the eyes of the nation's political class will turn to New Jersey as the GOP's new standard-bearer takes on Democratic Gov. Corzine, who has been ringing up low favorability ratings. But first, Christie and Lonegan will fight for every vote.

As a small-town mayor, Steve Lonegan won both admirers and enemies across the state by trying to have English declared his community's official language, announcing he wouldn't support civil unions for gay couples, fighting rate increases on toll roads and suing the state government over how much money it was borrowing. But it wasn't making noise about those conservative values that first took him to borough hall.

Wow, that's all I can say about this one. This is probably not the way that Chris Christie wanted to go in to GOTV weekend before the primary, getting ripped on NJ 101.5. First brother Todd tried to call in to answer their questions off air, but the Jersey guys wanted none of that. Then Chris called in toward the end of the show to talk about campaign advisor John Inglesino and allegations whether he was hired by Republican Sen. Joe Pennacchio in order to earn state pension credits. From the second Christie got on the line, the Jersey Guys...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Dispirited Republicans, hoping to prove the Grand Old Party is not yet extinct in the Northeast, have placed their final hopes this year on the governor's race in New Jersey, where Gov. Jon S. Corzine (D) has seen his approval ratings plummet as fast as the state's financial picture. But in an echo of the party's national internal debate, New Jersey Republicans aren't certain whether their best chance for success is with a candidate who can appeal to independents or with a staunch conservative who advocates a flat tax, would ban abortion and expresses disdain for...

Steve Lonegan, the firebrand former mayor of Bogota, N.J., and current dark-horse gubernatorial candidate, is waiting in “the vault.” When he first suggested this as the location for our interview, I had assumed he was speaking figuratively. But subtlety is not the rebel Republican politician’s style, and the vault turns out to be exactly that: an empty, fortified vault in the back of what used to be a bank—that is, before it became Lonegan’s makeshift campaign headquarters here in Oradell, N.J. It is an unusual setting to discuss Lonegan’s underdog bid to win the Republican party’s nomination for governor this...

Check out the MicroPoll link: http://www.micropoll.com/akira/mpresult/501693-169959 With 267 participants, Lonegan leads 62% to Christie's 22% and Merkt's 16%! Eight States Favoring Lonegan, vs. only PA favoring Christie (but with only 40% of the total vote!) and MD favoring Merkt. NJ favoring Lonegan with 62% of the poll vote; NY with 63% (despite Giuliani), other 6 states (AZ, IL, GA, NC, SC, and VA) each give Steve 100% of their votes!

The feisty New Jersey governor's race is coming to Manhattan. FOX News' Sean Hannity last week interviewed Republican Chris Christie, the former U.S. attorney battling for against Bogota, NJ, Mayor Steve Lonegan for their party's nomination to run against incumbent Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine this fall. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined him on the set. But apparently, some Lonegan supporters aren't thrilled that Hannity had Christie in his show, and not Lonegan, so they're planning a protest at 7 p.m. ET tonight outside of FOX headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. The pro-Lonegan blog, Conservatives With Attitude, says Lonegan supporters...

The appointment of Tom Daschle places a strong "pro-choice" leader at the helm of the agency that would oversee the possible Freedom of Choice Act. WASHINGTON (Catholic Online) - President-elect Obama has made his choice for Secretary of Health and Human Services – former South Dakota Senator Tom Daschle. He had been a close advisor to President - Elect Obama during the presidential campaign and had recently written a book on his proposals to improve health care in America called "Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis." The Department of Health and Human Services, Daschle’s new assignment, is...

I have been weighing the decision as to whether or not to post this video again for a number of weeks. It is deeply disturbing, very graphic, and unfortunately, the truth of what we as a people of this great country will permit to go on if we elect Barack Obama on Tuesday. Having worked for many, many years in the Pro Life effort, I know that this issue is a very controversial one, one that causes great distress to both sides. As such, it has been deliberately and effectively taken off the table in this election, due to the...
