I want to do all I can to help these young folks in their protest by not sending them any food or aid. Stay the course I'm with you all the way! Its the least I can do!
Also no Christmas Holiday or Xmas songs,Easter, etc, and I hope they know which way to face Mecca when they pray 4 times a day and what color were the prophets eyes.
I saw Framptons Camel in Philly around 1973 or 74. There was a walkway/gang plank that went out over the audience. Frampton walked out while playing a guitar lead. A black guy jumped up in front of him and started to dance, and he had the moves! Frampton kept playing and the crowd at the Spectrum went wild. Great times back then. "Plain Shame" is a great early Frampton song.
I will also say that the color picture of the diving horse from 1978 is completely different from the times I saw the act. The diving platform was on the other side of the pool and there was a big boxy elevator to take them up. Once on top the piece of plywood opened down and that became the platform the horse walked out on.
Saw the diving horse and rider a few times circa 1970 at Atlantic City. The show was at the very end of Steel Pier. First there was a clown act with guys doing a slapstick style routine with bicycles (with ropes tied to them) falling in the ocean and pushing each other with acrobatics. The diving horse and rider went up by elevator and the horse took his time and finally took the jump and almost splashed the above ground pool dry. They filled the pool with sea water using fire hoses for the next act.
I think Mott The Hoople did a song about rolling away the stone. My older brother was in high school with Patti Smith in Deptford,NJ. He said she didn't have much to say and was a loner.
I saw lots of bands in the early 1970s but never got a chance to see the Allman Brothers. My wife saw them back then in Pittsburgh,PA. Brothers and Sisters is a great album and still holds up all these years later. RIP Dickie.
Ain't that the truth. We used to take the grand kids and family out for breakfast almost every Sunday. The prices almost doubled. Now we just make breakfast at home for everybody. Just like the old days!
