Trump deploys National Guard to quell Los Angeles area ICE raid protests

President Trump deployed 2,000 National Guardsmen to the Los Angeles area on Saturday as protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) rattle the city.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the move is a result of “violent mobs” attacking “Federal Law Enforcement Agents carrying out basic deportation operations” in recent days.

Trump said California Democrats Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass were to blame for the unrest that began as a result of ICE raids.

Los Angeles police have not responded to rowdy demonstrations where protestors have vandalized cars and property, according to administration officials. LAPD confirmed they were not involved.

Good for Trump, didn't some woke general advise him not to do anything during the Floyd riots.

And I am sure a CNN reporter will be on scene soon to tell us that they are “mostly peaceful.”

Throwing fist sized rocks at ICE vehicles is not a protect, it is an insurrectionist riot. The Hill lies by both commission and omission.

If the protestors break the law, arrest them en masse, sort out the illegals and quickly deport them. The protests will soon stop.

Trump fights back. Many Republicans would never fight back.
They are afraid to.

Commissioner maybe. Rank and file, likely not. Time to make a choice between food on the table and continuation of the USA

Burning cars at an intersection is considered a "mostly peaceful protest" by the Democrats. So is aiming laser blinders at police and helicopter pilots. So are the sounds of random gunshots.

I guess the rest of us have a different opinion about such things.

It appears that the county sheriff’s department sees things a bit differently...

Don’t those California ahos have a mess to clean up and houses to build? What the heck are they doing getting involved with Vermonster Becca Balint’s illegal alien “a**wipers” like Kilmar Abrego Garcia, Merryland’s Father of the Year?

Public riots are being organized in serious numbers in an effort to prevent the arrest and capture of more senior public officials.

And that explains why Deep State has a mad-on for the elected county sheriff.

Probably. But, who advised the Blue Governors to allow it to continue? On Trump’s part, there were some crass political considerations...a second term. Do you risk being removed in ‘20 if you crack down on the GF riots? Do you allow the electorate to see what the Dims are capable of, and will do? I think Trump’s first obligation was to public safety, and he should have been harsher. And we now know that 2020 was in the bag for the Dims, Regardless, it does make me wonder if the covid plandemic would have been necessary, had DJT damaged his reelection chances badly by cracking down on the riots.

And a shout-out, and kudos to Kyle Rittenhouse, wherever he may be.
