You sound more like the devil. And you sound like you carry a different Bible than the one I read ... Do you hear the anger and hatred in your words?

    1. Again, I ask, what makes you such a model Christian? Or maybe you can tell us what deeds evidence your faith?

    2. You have still yet to provide us with some specifics or quotes from Huckabee that indicate his backslidden nature, his huge ego, his embarrassing actions, etc... When are you going to do this? Otherwise, you will just go down as another juvenile slanderer on this forum ...

    >> Looks like we let anyone in FR these days

    You read my mind...

It’s disappointing that some posters who can’t speak intelligently have to discuss or debate an issue with childish taunting (like sniff, sniff), or have to express themselves with “you idiot” or “bite me”. They lower the quality and standard of such websites as freerepublic.com. I guess free speech has to apply to everyone... Why don’t you post your address and maybe I can send you a dictionary for your birthday?

I have been a loyal viewer of Fox News and listener of Conservative radio for a number of years. This has been a very disappointing season for all of these media outlets. Their “censorship” of Mike Huckabee is disturbing. I will no longer be listening to them for political analysis. I have never seen anything like it.

    >> Backslidden “Christians”, HUckabee is no Christian.

Go back and read your own posts. Don’t you think that your own statements about Huckabee are PERSONAL ATTACKS???

As a matter of fact, I would say to you,

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Why don’t we shine the light in your closet, and see what makes you such a model Christian? Or maybe you can tell us what deeds evidence your faith?

To be quite honest, all I hear are incoherent ramblings of an angry Poster; can you take a deep breath and provide us with some specifics or quotes from Huckabee that indicate his backslidden nature, his huge ego, his embarrassing actions, etc... If you cannot be specific, then you might want to consider a run around the neighborhood and to take a break from the keyboard ...

    Go Huck!

    1. To those here that talk about him bailing out - are you quitters that would stop running in a foot race if you were in a distant 2nd? If so, thank God that Huck isn’t you!

    2. To those that think the polls are speaking and Romney is still ahead - I know you are genuine in taking into account that there haven’t been that many contests since Super Tuesday and Huck is trying to overcome the Romney and McCain “News Press Express”. They couldn’t even come close to Huck’s numbers if spending the same amount of money, and if the media wasn’t censoring Huckabee. That’s because everyone of you McCain/GOP zombies know that if Huckabee and McCain went one on one - it would be like the inspirational difference of an Olympic athlete and a corpse.

    3. To those that think Romney was gracious (it was costing him $600,000+ / delegate), have another sip of Kool-Aid ...

    4. To those that think Huck wrapping it up is for the good of the country - think twice before you think voting that voting for McCain (business as usual) is good for the country...

I am writing in my vote for Huckabee if he does not get the nomination - I would rather spend 4 years in exile in the land of my enemies (Democrats), rather than prostitute myself to Karl Rove, the GOP, and all of the other turncoats stealing your vote for self gain.

    I will survive!

I know that the odds are against him, but what do you mean he has already lost? McCain needs to get around 70% of the remaining bounded delegates to clinch the nomination (I know the mainstream media, often considered McCain’s base, has spun the math in a bunch of different ways). It is most likely going to go into a brokered convention, and hey, Abraham Lincoln had gotten the nomination this way and I think at least another president or two. So why couldn’t it happen again?

Here are some numbers I saw on another post ...

Here are the bound and unbound totals as of 2/14/2008 .....McCain has 796 bound and 18 unbound delegates.
    .
    Now let’s do some math:
McCain needs 395 bound delegates to reach 1191 of the remaining states:
    .
    Texas - 137 bound and 3 unbound
    Ohio - 88 UNBOUND
South Dakota - 24 bound and 3 unbound
    Wisconsin - 37 bound and 3 unbound
    Vermont - 17 bound
    Idaho - 26 bound and 6 unbound
    Hawaii - 20 bound
    Pennsylvania - 74 UNBOUND
    Oregon - 27 bound and 3 unbound
Puerto Rico - 20 bound and 3 unbound
    North Carolina - 69 bound
    Indiana - 27 bound and 30 UNBOUND
    Kentucky - 45 bound
    Mississippi - 36 bound and 3 unbound
Rhode Island - 17 bound and 3 unbound
    Nebraska - 30 bound and 3 unbound
New Mexico - 29 bound and 3 unbound
    .
There are 561 bound delegates left of which Mr. McCain must win 71% of to reach 1191.....now when was the last time he won with 71% of the vote?
Now Huck will probably win Nebraska, Kentucky, Mississippi, and South Dakota.......if this happens, then McCain would have to win just about every remaining delegate, and that is not likely to happen.
Basically, McCain would almost have to run the board of the other states to win......not likely.

THE MSM IS LUMPING BOTH BOUND AND UNBOUND IN THEIR TOTALS.......VERY MISLEADING

So, as you can see, Huck is still in the race. It is not over yet. The media is lying to you. Don’t buy into it. Furthermore, McCain has backed out of a debate with Huckabee that was scheduled for end of February because he is afraid to let the public see Huckabee in action. In addition, McCain is running into possible money problems to finance his campaign due to limitations on campaign financing introduced into law by his own doing! Won’t it be interesting to see how the “straight shooter” gets around this one?????

If any of you think that you can support Huck instead of McCain - then make your vote count. Do what you believe and don’t give up.

I thank God that the Founding Fathers of this country were not quitters - like so many GOP robots voicing their rehearsed rhetoric here in this post!

Of all the anti-Huck rhetoric about him, I never hear any substantiative opposition to any of his Conservative positions as outlined on:

    http://www.mikehuckabee.com/?FuseAction=Issues.Home

It’s always a bunch of juvenile, drive-by comments. So those of you that profess to be so conservative, let me ask you this:

If you believe that Huckabee isn’t really that conservative, then what would you consider McCain? (those of you who haven’t had the McCain chip planted in your brain yet by the GOP can answer this... ) Please outline in what area McCain is the better choice on the issues???

Don’t buy into the electability (The Karl Rove steal your real vote) argument!

    >> We must stop reasoning with our emotions and start reasoning with our heads, or we will find ourselves in an infinitely worse position even than we are today.

It is encouraging to see many in your responses that you are not falling for this McCain spin bull crap.

Everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - get the ready for the GOP establishment spin machine to come in every deceitful way to bring aboard the “dumb” conservatives over the next 8 months. I will never vote for McCain. It is sad to watch it come down to this - but the GOP has given the Dems the White House and now want to blame the conservatives in the party.

Whether you support him or not, Huckabee is still in the race and it will probably go to the convention. The GOP chickened out of a debate between Huck and McCain because they have already chosen their McCain “puppet”. If you still want a choice, take a look at Huckabee (endorsed by Duncan Hunter)! If McCain is the only choice, I am going to write in my own candidate - don’t buy into the “better off with McCain” schmooze!

Excellent point, Mojave. Some people are willing to believe anything.

I believe I made a good case for Huckabee as the conservative choice for this election. If you read through all of the points regarding Huckabee that I have made in this thread - very few of them are addressed. Other external, incoherent, and distractive responses were usually the response. I have detailed the case for why he IS the viable conservative left in this race.

The only objections to Huckabee’s conservative candidacy are from bruised Mormons who take issue with the truthful statement Huckabee made about Mormonism with regards to Satan and Jesus being brothers, or others who can’t get over the fact that he is a Christian.

Mormon’s distort the truth, and are very compatible with the world because their convictions and actions in practice are not much different than an unbeliever. Since the Bible is not their emphasis (but the Book of Mormon), God’s truth is not fully evidenced and realized in their daily lives. They do not live with conviction based on attitude of the heart, but are just another “works” based religion with their own self-imposed and exalted priesthood trying to usurp the eternal priesthood held by Christ. This arrogant claim to be the “true authority” is just another rambling of one of history’s false prophets and charismatic con-men (Joseph Smith).

Mormon’s generally have an attitude of contempt for the average Christian, simply because they know that Christians do not believe in any additional books that carry the same authority as the Old and New Testament. With that in mind, they generally do not get very far in trying to convert Bible reading Christians.

This primary has been a sham and an embarrassment to U.S. politics. You had Romney the Mormon, McCain the Catholic, Huckabee and Paul the Christians (Baptist). Who received the overwhelming support from the media and the secular entities? Let me help you out - Romney and McCain. Why is this? Because they can be figured out, bought, and plug into the “system” with predictability. They are more “compatible” with the media and big business (not necessarily the majority of the American people). Who gets little to no coverage? (which really is a disgrace and shows how much the media lies to you) Huckabee and Paul.

Whether you agree with Huckabee or not, you should be outraged with the media in reporting a race that is going all the way to the convention and not even mentioning the other candidate. Why? Because Huckabee is truly an amazing communicator, a motivator with great ideas, and they know if the American people see him enough they will like him! They tried to push him out of the race before the debates scheduled for the end of this month. Since he didn’t drop out - McCain and the censorship GOP establishment backed out - and it wasn’t even reported on the news!

Whether you agree with them or not, ask yourself this question if you are honest -

Where does the true bias and bigotry lie?

Here you go Rameumpton, here’s another one:

    Let it roll:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSRzeAb4SDs

Doesn’t even mention Huckabee, kind of misleading isn’t it?

If this is all you can come up with for Huckabee, that’s pretty weak. Not much for a year of campaigning. I could find lie after lie about Romney - his character isn’t even close to Huckabee’s.

    You say:
    >>The LDS church officially endorsed the Federal Marraige Amendment as did Romney years ago.

What’s the point about the LDS church position here ... is this where Romney gets his marching orders? I thought his faith was separate from his politics?

    >> was openly decribed as a canard by Rush Limbaugh as well as other conservatives

Rameumptom, are you for real? Since when is Rush an authority on Scripture? Your comment isn’t even funny, it’s scary!

    >> If he wasn’t wrong to do it then why did he go to Romnmey to apologize to him for doing it?

Source for the apology??? Sources for anything??? And you’re kind of blending a few issues within these few lines ... Are you some kind of Campaign hack for tired and beaten down Romney campaign?

Why don’t you ever provide sources? I try to give you video or some verifiable source ... you always rant without any backup and you kind of jump all over the place - typical of a person with not much to stand on.

    >> So Huck who holds a “theology” degree continued to lie by claiming ignorance that he “accidently” raised the theological issue

I would probably bet that he didn’t study Mormon theology - but Christian theology.

Romney is a pompous, arrogant, snob-faced chameleon in which the Bible says “Pride before a fall”. Romney’s absence from the campaign is a testimony to the faithfulness of God’s Word.
