Romney endorses McCain - Taking away 1st Amendment Free Speech is O.K. now?
American Conservative Union Polital Action Conference ^

Posted on 02/15/2008 8:13:24 PM PST by 2findtheway

I have read alot at various sites over the past few days. I cannot believe those who still are on their "Romney honeymoon"??? Endorsing McCain to them means that he is really a great guy with character, a real team player, a real conservative who is taking one for the team. Isn't it obvious that the man has his own interest at heart and not yours? Romney and McCain fought bitterly during the primaries, Romney accuses McCain of taking away freedom of speech (does it get worse than that!), and promises to repeal McCain-Feingold when elected. See video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAbi4l_OaZo

Wow! Can you Romney supporters please see the endorsement for what it really is - Romney getting in on the action for himself. If you want real change, please consider another candidate instead of the same old establishment hacks manipulating your vote.

Thank you for reading.

CHAPTER 2

24 Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord.
25 Wherefore, thus saith the Lord, I have led this people forth out of the land of Jerusalem, by the power of mine arm, that I might raise up unto me a righteous branch from the fruit of the loins of Joseph.
26 Wherefore, I the Lord God will not suffer that this people shall do like unto them of old.
  27 Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none;
28 For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts.
29 Wherefore, this people shall keep my commandments, saith the Lord of Hosts, or cursed be the land for their sakes.
30 For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things.
31 For behold, I, the Lord, have seen the sorrow, and heard the mourning of the daughters of my people in the land of Jerusalem, yea, and in all the lands of my people, because of the wickedness and abominations of their husbands.
32 And I will not suffer, saith the Lord of Hosts, that the cries of the fair daughters of this people, which I have led out of the land of Jerusalem, shall come up unto me against the men of my people, saith the Lord of Hosts.

It was the orphan child given to Emma to raise that had the measles and likely died of the results. Yet lying Mormons like to claim it was Joseph Smith’s child (hmmm, perhaps it WAS) and it died from exposure when the mob burst the door open during a winter storm, in order to castrate JS after it was discovered he was diddling his live-in orphaned child Fanny Alger.

Measles kill children. This child did not die from hypothermia, but I think you knew that. Didn’t you?

I'm not saying Huck is more or less conservative than McCain. McCain openly lied about Romney as well.

Huck is clearly socially conservative. but as far as fiscally sure he talks a good talk but he raised taxes in Arkansas by over 600 million (over half a billion dollars). The endorsement of Time is not one I would want. It's not too much different that the NYTimes endorsement of McCain.

After Hunter and Thompson dropped out 75% of Freepers wanted Romney to win Super Tuesday. Now that Romney is out only 27% say they will support Huck. IOW, Romney was able to squeak past the ultimate conservative litmus test, Free Republic,(albiet as a begrudging third choice) while Huck does not.

I plan on writing Romney in in November. Sure my vote doesn't count in the grand scheme of things. Conservatives lost the vote against the moderates in every state except the West. My vote isn't going to change those facts on the ground.

In effect Republicans bought into a self fulfilling prophecy. By beating the war drums for years that they'd vote for anyone but Hilary they have gotten the opportunity to do just that. If they had spent the last four years advancing conservatism we'd be having a different discussion now. But it's all water under the bridge now. You are wasting your time trying to convince me that huck is better than McCain. Sure he may be? So what. It's kind of like being asked which of your kids ought to get run over by a car. I'm not going to make that choice.

I find it ironic that 2 weeks later Huck still hasn't caught up to Romney's delegate count (226 to 274). Everyone but Huck seems to know it's over for him. He can't catch McCain's 859.

>>>I was never a polygamist.

Your ex was married to two women at the same time. That fits the definition of polygamy as I know it. So are you admitting you were lying when you wrote your "ex-Mormon" account under your other nom de plume "ExxxxxxxH".

I am open about my past sexual abuse as is another conservative, Michael Reagan. I am fine with my Dad. He wasn't the one who abused me. Women can be offenders too.

But since we are on the topic you have turned your abuse into an excuse to trash all things Mormon. In effect you have done what the Feminists do. Because they have suffered they turn around and think they are justified in doing the same types of things to others. It's the old "what we say about others says more about ourselves". I feel bad that you think you have to spend your day tearing down the faith of others

>>Perhaps you should move on and forget your sexual obsession with Joseph Smith. He liked women.

I am happily hetero too. But here we have the perfect example of your projection again. Since you have been wronged at one time by someone who was a Mormon you think accusing another FReepers of homosexuality is an OK thing to do.

WWJD?

You have a warped view of history. The child was legally adopted. And it died the day after it's exposure to the winter cold. I think King Solomon if he were here could come up with a good test for you. If you have so much faith in your made up version of history why don't you leave one of your grandbabies out in the winter cold tonight and when it dies in the morning you come up with some "virus" as an excuse for why it "really" died

You were the first to cast aspersions and accusations. I rebutted to show you the ridiculousness of your taunts. Indeed What Would Jesus Do?

I am forgiven of my sins. I am washed clean by the blood of Christ.

Interesting, you think of yourself as a “victim” yet cast me as a perpetrator even though I was used at 16 by a 24 year old Mormon man, and it is indeed that we are victims of crime in both instances, yours and mine. What is your reasoning?

Is it because I am a woman? You should get over your hatred, dear and just move on. /sarc

Oh BTW I love you over on MADD. It’s great to see Mormon Apologist such as you spreading over the WWW in effort to ensnare the masses.

The child was not “left out” in the elements, and it certainly was NOT legally adopted. Emma was there as were other children to care for it. It’s twin had already succumbed just days prior, to the raveges of the same illness.

Mormons distort history often, this story is another example just as in the examples of Paul H. Dunn, or Thomas S. Monson,.... Lying for the Lord.

Explain how that verse cancels out God's unflinching condemnation of the abomination of plural marriage? In the Book of Mormon it is prohibited and called an abomination to the Lord, but then in the Doctrine and Covenants it is commanded. Indeed the practice is required in order to be truly saved.

Is your God schizophrenic?

I don't think of myself as a victim though I was victimized at one time as a child. But I have obviously hit on something here as you just said "good day" to me in your last post but had to come back to discuss it more.

Let me put it bluntly as I can. You keep replicating the abuse you experinced when you continue to lie (as you just have in the previous posts) and spend your day tearing down others' faith. In effect the "victim" has become an "offender". Don't worry I'm not saying sexually offending here. But offending as in, thinking it's ok to tear others' faith down as a hobby.

I don't post on any other sites. When I google MADD, "Mothers Against Drunk Driving" comes up. If there is a MADD mormon apologetic site send along the link I would be interested in it. Or are you referring to my nom de plume here? There is a guy in Provo blogging with a similar name who identifies himself, besides he is older than me I see. (Should I be insulted?). As a former cop I choose not to identify myself on line for obivous reasons (you meet some crazies on line). As Rameumptom is a name of a place I assume others on the net have used it as well. Sort of like there are probably other bloggers going by the name Colorcountry like this Chinese blogger who I am 99.999999% sure isn't you. colorcountry 的好友列表 http://www.wretch.cc/friend/colorcountry

>>Explain how that verse cancels out God's unflinching condemnation of the abomination of plural marriage?

It's the same way he condemns muder (thou shalt not kill) then turns around and tells Moses to wipe out all the men, women and children in a city. How about you go first. Go ahead and pontificate on the OT thou shalt not kill schizophrenia and I'll take a turn with the polygamy (which is also found in the Bible, ie Nathan.)

>>The child was not “left out” in the elements

Ah yes in the days of no central heating. The fact that the door was broken open and the freezing wind came in all night had nothing to do with the fact that the child died. You do realize that in a court of law the mob would easily be convicted of murder. It's like when bank robbers accidently kill someone through their actions (in the commission of a felony) though they didn't really intend to kill anyone just get the load of cash.

Perhaps the biggest irony here though is the fact that someone who claims to be pro-life on a conservative forum is trying to explain away the murder of a baby. Keep it up Johnnie Cochran. Or are you only pro-life when they are fetuses? Infants are fair game? This is the perfect example of how your mind has been warped by your obsession with bashing all things Mormon.

I asked you at least twice - what did Huck lie about regarding Mitt Romney? (Keep in mind that a lie is not speaking an embarrassing truth).

>>I asked you at least twice - what did Huck lie about regarding Mitt Romney?

Already answered in a previous post but I'll expand. He lied about Romney not supporting the Federal Marriage Amendment so he could appeal to his base as the only "social conservative" on that issue. It was a lie he told not only publicly on TV but his "representative" speaker at the Iowa Cacus event I attended in Sioux City, IA Feb. 5th continued the lie as well. The LDS church officially endorsed the Federal Marraige Amendment as did Romney years ago. Huck was not only lying about Romney politically on the issue but also religiously. Huck declared his support of the Amdendment was due to his religious beliefs. Yet he was perpetuating falsehood about Romney who had religious reasoning for supporting the Amendment as well. It was just another example of Huck who knows the truth about the issue openly lying about it for political gain.

The way he described the Mormon faith was openly decribed as a canard by Rush Limbaugh as well as other conservatives. Huckabee knew he was using theology to sideline Mormons to play to the Evangelical base. He knew he was wrong to do it. If he wasn't wrong to do it then why did he go to Romnmey to apologize to him for doing it?

In his apology to Romney he tried to play off that it was an offhand comment made out of ignorance. So Huck who holds a "theology" degree continued to lie by claiming ignorance that he "accidently" raised the theological issue? He knew what he was doing. But of course the damage was done. Much like McCain's open lies about Romney supporting a withdrawal timetable in Iraq.

Here you go Rameumpton, here’s another one:

Let it roll:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSRzeAb4SDs

Doesn’t even mention Huckabee, kind of misleading isn’t it?

If this is all you can come up with for Huckabee, that’s pretty weak. Not much for a year of campaigning. I could find lie after lie about Romney - his character isn’t even close to Huckabee’s.

You say:
>>The LDS church officially endorsed the Federal Marraige Amendment as did Romney years ago.

What’s the point about the LDS church position here ... is this where Romney gets his marching orders? I thought his faith was separate from his politics?

>> was openly decribed as a canard by Rush Limbaugh as well as other conservatives

Rameumptom, are you for real? Since when is Rush an authority on Scripture? Your comment isn’t even funny, it’s scary!

>> If he wasn’t wrong to do it then why did he go to Romnmey to apologize to him for doing it?

Source for the apology??? Sources for anything??? And you’re kind of blending a few issues within these few lines ... Are you some kind of Campaign hack for tired and beaten down Romney campaign?

Why don’t you ever provide sources? I try to give you video or some verifiable source ... you always rant without any backup and you kind of jump all over the place - typical of a person with not much to stand on.

>> So Huck who holds a “theology” degree continued to lie by claiming ignorance that he “accidently” raised the theological issue

I would probably bet that he didn’t study Mormon theology - but Christian theology.

Romney is a pompous, arrogant, snob-faced chameleon in which the Bible says “Pride before a fall”. Romney’s absence from the campaign is a testimony to the faithfulness of God’s Word.

Which is why Romney, like Thompson and Tancredo, instead supports a policy of attrition through enforcement. His plan is to make it impossible for illegals to get jobs and welfare, thereby forcing them to gradually deport themselves.

Bull crap.
