We’re happy to announce that Ask.com has entered into an agreement with MerchantCircle to keep Bloglines up and running! That means your news feeds will remain available (with your same password) indefinitely. Bloglines has announced it will end its service on November 1. Okay, so what can I REPLACE it with? I am a heavy Bloglines user and love its online RSS feeds. It has been said that Twitter and Facebook has killed Bloglines but I find the latter services too cluttered. However, what is the deal with Tweetdeck? Anyway, I am open to suggestions on what to replace Bloglines with.

A strange thing just happened. Several minutes ago I opened up my Bloglines and several conservative sites show the max number of posts---200. These sites include NewsBusters, Hot Air, and National Review. I read all these sites earlier today so no way they could reach 200 at this time. Also this makes it so the posts listed on their are outdated. NONE of my non-political nor non-conservative sites have had this problem. What's up? If you have Bloglines, check this out for yourself.

If you know all about RSS and Atom, this will be a waste of your time, but if you never heard of these site feed protocols, this article may be of interest, because it will make your web surfing much faster, more efficient – and almost professional. Many web sites and web logs automatically generate a file whenever they are updated. That is, whenever a new report, headline or article is posted, a special file is exported. In doing so, these sites follow either an RSS or an Atom protocol – both of which usually can be read by certain...
