Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Hey, there could be a cause and effect relationship here. – The NBA’s year-over- year ratings are down 22% in 2019. Meanwhile, we can no longer refer to the owners of NBA franchises as “owners.” The reason? Because it makes the largely-black players who these [not] owners have turned into multi-millionaires feel all like ‘slaves’ and stuff. You just cannot make this stuff up. What a coincidence! I preferred life before Madonna! – Aging, vastly overrated pop star Madonna told an interviewer for New York Times Magazine that “I preferred life before...

If you're into competitive shooting but want a little bit of a physical challenge to go with it. Look into the MGM Ironman competition. Its sort of like 3 gun competition with a CrossFit blended in to raise your heartbeat as you settle to shoot. Challenges this year were the same as previous years, but some were slightly different. For instance, instead of having to haul a 150-pound dummy over to and on top of a 5-foot shooting platform, this year the competitors were given three options: a 100-pound, taped-up sack for a 60-second bonus; two steel targets weighing in...

“These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent. These are the heroes who helped end a war.” Ronald Reagan, June 6, 1984 Standing on a craggy overlook jutting into the English Channel Ronald Reagan delivered those words 35 years ago on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the beginning of the D-day invasion. By then the “boys” were already boys no more. The few who are still with us are now all in their 90’s. Some have come to today’s anniversary...

Donald Trump has declared he wants the NHS to be on the table in any US-UK trade deal and refused to meet the “negative” Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, who pledged to oppose US corporations taking over the health service with every breath in his body. On the second day of his state visit, during which he has been hosted by the Queen and Theresa May, the US president set out his ambitions for a “phenomenal” post-Brexit trade deal with the UK. But following a cross-party backlash, the president later appeared to row back on his comments. In an interview with...

The FBI failed to document at least four interviews of witnesses in the bureau’s investigation into former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server to send classified emails, according to documents obtained by the government watchdog Judicial Watch. Judicial Watch also discovered among the 218 pages of emails between former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour former FBI Attorney Lisa Page that then FBI General Counsel James Baker had instructed “FBI officials to expedite the release of FBI investigative material to Hillary Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall in August 2016. Kendall and the FBI’s top lawyer discussed...

Well, what is China like? Is it a smog filled “hell hole”, or is it a Stalinist storm-trooper stomping dictatorship? Just what the heck is it, and what is it like? This is a post that I threw together after reading a fellow American justify the eight wars that America is currently fighting all over the globe. As he said “…it our duty to police the world because no one has it better than us.” Eh? Say what? Of course he was referring to a United States military presence all over the world. And at this I shake my...

With his fortunes fading, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke attempted to sell himself as a possible running mate to South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg by boasting “I am a giant a**hole.” Though seasoned political observers are calling this “another gaffe in an unbroken chain of gaffes since his unsuccessful attempt to win a US Senate seat last year,” sources close to the candidate are optimistic that “Mayor Pete will understand that Beto is proposing a mutually satisfying coupling between two ideological soul mates.” if you missed any of this week's other semi-news/semi-satire posts you can find them at... https://azconservative.org/2019/06/01/dem-signals-support-for-secret-police/

The parents of victims of the Parkland school shooting are suing the Broward County school board and the sheriff's office for failing to take timely action against the school shooter who killed 17 people at the school in February 2018. According to CNN : The lawsuit says the school board failed to take reasonable steps to provide proper security and says the sheriff's department "negligently implemented and executed its policies and procedures" by not going immediately into the building where the shooting [was] happening. It is well known now that a deputy from the Sheriff's office, Scot Peterson, was on...

Russia and China took another step away from the US dollar after the two countries agreed to develop bilateral trade using the ruble and the yuan. It was just one of the major deals reached after the presidents of the two countries, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, held talks in Moscow on Wednesday. “Russia and China intend to develop the practice of settlements in national currencies,” Putin told journalists at the news conference following the talks. He added that the states have signed intergovernmental agreements on expanding the use of the yuan and the ruble in bilateral financial operations. A...

VIDEO Sleepy Joe Biden drew laughably small crowds at his two campaign stops in New Hampshire as you can see in this video. What adds to the pathetic nature of his small crowd sizes is the fact that many in attendance were forced to be there due being union members. Again a reminder that my videos going into about the incredibly low Biden crowd sizes is something that you WON'T see covered in such detail (or at all) by the mainstream media.

Traditionally, higher education introduced students to life’s most fundamental questions: “What is good?”; “What is true?”; “Do our lives have meaning beyond the material?”; and so on. The focus used to be on developing the whole person: To lift students morally and ethically, to pique their curiosity in all things, and to instill, as cardinal John Henry Newman wrote, certain “habits of mind” that produce a deeply thoughtful individual. However, over time, those questions have faded into the background due to an increasing focus on obtaining credentials for employment. Savvy students who actively search for something deeper than the next...

A while back I asked for prayers for my son Liam that he could work out problems that threatened his business. You came through and prayed with me for him; and the Lord heard us. Liam is back to where he should be.

While in Verona, Italy on his last “last ever” world tour, Farewell Yellow Brick Road, Elton John told fans: “I’m ashamed of my country for what it has done. It’s torn people apart … I am sick to death of politicians, especially British politicians. “I am sick to death of Brexit. I am a European. I am not a stupid, colonial, imperialist English idiot.” An odd comment, that, coming from Sir Elton John.I guess his thinking has evolved since accepting knighthood – a symbol of the British Empire - in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in 1998. At the time...

Are you into old buffalo cartridge and want to make it better? Do this, load it up with smokeless powder in a lever action rifle. You will surely have some fire power with a .50-110 caliber rifle. Which means lots of fun shooting and yes you can take down some game as well. We can't say this enough, loading this cartridge with smokeless powder makes this lever action rifle a hard hitter that can punch holes in steel and obliterate other targets. The 450 grain .50-110 caliber can create more energy than the 458 Winchester Magnum. This cartridge is good...

The unannounced visit to Turkey of the chief of the Russian National Guard — an internal security establishment also known as Vladimir Putin’s personal army — will undoubtedly be given hard scrutiny by Western capitals amid increasing criticism of Turkey’s drift away from its NATO allies. Viktor Zolotov, the head of the Russian National Guard, Rosgvardiya, a security unit that oversees anti-riot police and SWAT teams, paid a surprise visit to the capital, Ankara, from May 13-18 with a “heavily loaded” agenda, Turkish security sources told Al-Monitor. Although his Russian delegation's carefully crafted schedule didn't include any direct contact with...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed 2020 Democratic presidential candidate John Delaney for opposing Medicare for All, suggesting he needed to “sashay away” from the rest of the field. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a video clip of the former Maryland congressman stating that government takeover of health benefits may “may sound good” but is “actually not good policy nor is it good politics.” The New York socialist claimed it was an “awful, untrue line,” seething that Delaney should be ‘eliminated’ from the field of presidential contenders. “John Delaney,” she said, “thank you but please sashay away.”

Senate Republicans pushed back on President Donald Trump -- including the threat of a veto override -- after he scoffed at the possibility that members of his own party would try to block his plan to impose a tariff on Mexico over concerns about the potential economic fallout. Senator Kevin Cramer, a North Dakota Republican, predicted that the Senate would have enough votes to override a presidential veto of any measure that would keep Trump’s tariffs on Mexico from going into effect June 10. “You’ve heard of people who are war weary,” Cramer said. “Senate Republicans are tariff weary.” Trump,...
