After making 22 movies that tell one cohesive story, while grossing almost $20 billion worldwide along the way, what’s Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige doing next? The same thing all over again—with a whole new set of toys. The April 26 release of Avengers: Endgame will bring closure to the first 11 years of Marvel Studios films. Then, in 2020, the company will start Phase Four of its Cinematic Universe, the next chapter of the larger story with new heroes, all of which will feel the impact of the events of the past. Plus, now that Disney has acquired 20th...

My new book, based on extensive research in the Reagan Library, "Reagan: The American President," will be out from Post Hill Press on May 7. You can pre-order now on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. It has a number of revelations, some good, some bad, but in the end Reagan emerges as the greatest president of the 20th century. There is also an appendix on all the similarities between Reagan and Trump (more than you think). ALSO: We just launched a new website this month, the Wild World of History. It is for both history buffs and educators. We have...

In the Trump era of the National Instant background Check System (NICS), the number of NICS checks has remained high while the number of gun sales has trended downward. This has been called the "Trump Slump" in the firearms industry. In February of 2019, the Trump Slump dropped a bit more. In February of 2019, the total NICS checks were 2,053,886. That is the lowest total NICS in February since 2015, when they were 1,859,584. It is a twelve percent drop from the total NICS of 2018, which were 2,333,193. NICS checks contain many more checks than just those...

Six states and the District of Columbia are suing the Trump Administration for its reversal of the Obama-era rules on school lunches. New York Attorney General Letitia James mocked “the scientifically unsound argument that the rules imposed by the prior administration were a failure because so much of the food ended up tossed out by the students.” “Whether the students eat the food is not the government’s responsibility,” James asserted. “This is still a free country. We can lead each student to a nutritionally balanced meal, but we can’t make him eat it. Even if the food is rejected and...

A Reddit page dedicated to black issues has declared that white people are no longer allowed to post there anymore. The forum, r/BlackPeopleTwitter, posted an “important announcement,” which stated, “Due to the overwhelming number of white people and white opinions present on BTP, we are now restricting access to this sub for black folks only.” Non-black people then responded to the post by humiliating themselves, embracing their white guilt, and begging to be allowed to post again. “Super white dude here. I’d like to apply for the token white guy position,” responded one white user. “I won’t post or comment...

VINELAND, N.J. – Scrutiny of Governor Phil Murphy’s sanctuary state policy (promulgated by activist state Attorney General Gurbir Grewal) reached new levels this week when an illegal Honduran immigrant was arrested on suspicion of sexually assault and murdering a Jersey City nanny. The suspect had reportedly been deported not once but twice over a decade before the incident in question. A top 2019 legislative candidate didn’t mince words in assigning blame for this latest avoidable tragedy.

Right after the 2016 election, Green Party candidate Jill Stein—cheered on by Hillary Clinton dead-enders—sued in three states to recount votes and thereby overturn Donald Trump’s victory in the Electoral College. Before the quixotic effort imploded, Stein was praised as an iconic progressive social justice warrior who might stop the hated Trump from even entering the White House. When that did not work, B-list Hollywood celebrities mobilized, with television and radio commercials, to shame electors in Trump-won states into not voting for the president-elect during the official Electoral College balloting in December 2016. Their idea was that select morally superior...

VIDEO When I was a kid I always flew into a rage when I received what I considered to be really horrible birthday gifts such as a shirt or socks. Therefore I was curious as to the reaction of my niece, Genesis the Mermaid, to getting really crummy gifts for her tenth birthday.

“A preoccupation with safety has stripped childhood of independence, risk taking, and discovery—without making it safer.” - Hanna Rosin, The Overprotected Kid What could go wrong? For one thing kids whose lives are micro-managed by helicopter parents from cradle through their first job interview never learn to manage risks on their own.Helicopter parents have been around at least since the dawning of the Millennials but I first reported on them 4 years ago. The post discussed pushback in Wales where some concerned parents built a park called “The Land” filled with junk where kids were still allowed to wander...

Here we provide a mixture of the popular music now currently trending in China. Strangely, most Americans are unaware of music outside of the USA shores. It’s pretty amazing when you think about it, but there you have it. The Chinese have their own pop groups, their own rap groups, and their own version of Country & Western music. Additionally, music from Russia is amazingly popular, as well as selected Australian, and American music. We are gonna talk about all of this. In fact, if I might be so bold, we are going to look at the music from the...

CBS cameras cut away from the Texas Tech locker room the moment their head coach entered the room and began leading the team in prayer. The network seemed to have no problem letting their cameras linger, while the announcers filled time and waited for the coach to arrive. However, moments after the coach Chris Beard arrived, the team began to pray and the cameras cut away to a shot of the announcers. ...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Nielsen’s out, and not much will change. – Kirstjen Nielsen became the fall guy for the ongoing fiasco at our southern border last night, to be replaced as Homeland Security Secretary by ex-Obama official Kevin McAleenan, who served as Deputy Secretary under the infamous Jeh Johnson. So, what difference will the change in personnel make? Not much. The problem at the border is with the tragic state of our laws and politically-motivated court decisions issued by outlaw Obama judges. Until congress acts to change the laws – and this particular congress is...

Something that hunters and semi-seasoned hunters talk about is the best deer rifle/caliber. For the non-hunters most will only think of the 30-06 or 308. All the old favorites are normally there, like the classic Marlin, Remington and Ruger rifles. They go back and forth on what’s better between a .270 Winchester, a 308 Winchester and a 30-06 Springfield. But, some experienced hunters will tell you go with the .243 caliber rifle. This hunting rifle may be smaller than most, but it packs a pretty good punch on whitetail. The .243 Winchester cartridge was initially designed as a target/varmint round,...

The Golden Age of Virtue which Article V opponents attach to our early republics, never existed. This isn’t to say the literature and political writings by gentry and revolutionary leaders of the day did not appeal to virtue. After Benjamin Franklin wrote, “only a virtuous people are capable of freedom,” he warned that without virtue, people are doomed to ever more oppressive masters. Similarly is John Adams’ famous, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”1 We read these reminders, especially those of John Adams, on a...

Last week, Massachusetts Democrat Neal, one of only three congressional officials authorised to request tax returns, requested Mr. Trump’s personal and business returns in a letter to IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig. Democrats will “never” see President Donald Trump’s tax returns. That from White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, as a new front is opened in the confrontation between the administration and Congress. Mr. Mulvaney accused Democrats of engaging in a “political stunt” and wanting “attention” after the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Richard Neal, asked the IRS to provide six years of Mr. Trump’s personal...
