Like other readers of this blog, I received an email today from Montgomery Sibley, the distinguished, independent-minded lawyer who practices in Washington DC. Larry Sinclair had provided him with all the evidence he has to support his allegations that when Barack Obama was a member of the Illinois Senate he met twice with Larry Sinclair in in November 1999 in Chicago, obtained cocaine for the both of them and consumed it (crack cocaine smoked through a glass pipe in the Senator’s case). On both occasions they also participated in consensual sexual acts with each other. After studying and analyzing the...

I have a Tablet PC. A Toshiba R15-S829. I bought it new, and it, and all software on it, is legal. Tablet PC's come with a recovery CD, not an unlocked or unbranded version of the O/S. I would like to have an unbranded version of the WinXP/Tablet PC O/S. Historically, Microsoft only sold these to system builders. Now they are selling them to online retailers, also. I have found it for sale on four different retail websites, and marketed as either..."WIN XP PRO TABLET SP2B" or "Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC 2005 W/SP2B". In the Product info sections, it...

RFFM.org Commentary If former Republican Congressman J.C. Watts, who is himself an African-American, were running for the presidency of the United States, I would not be asking this question. Watts was and continues to be a conservative who believes in reasonable-sized government and fair taxation. However, I think it is a more than fair question that must be put to Democratic presidential frontrunner Barack Obama. After all, Obama did address the issue during his Senatorial campaign against former Ambassador Alan Keyes. Combine this with the fact it has been reported members of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, of which...

As a Christian, I believe that the universe and its living creatures are the products of intelligent design. This belief is not merely derived from theology but is also supported by rational considerations. There is enormous intelligence embedded in the laws of nature. The greatest scientists over the past few centuries have worked to decode the intelligence mysteriously imprinted in the workings of nature. Scientific laws, as spelled out by Kepler, Newton, Einstein and others, reveal nature as exquisitely orderly. So who encoded this intelligence in nature? Since the universe had a beginning, how did it get here? There is...

Freepers- My mom fell and broke her arm 3 days ago. She went into surgery but did not do well in post op. She may have suffered from a lack of O2 in the hospital, and they did a CAT scan to see if she has any brain damage. We will not know the results for a few days. She has been suffering from CHF and renal failure as well, and I think she is really taking a turn for the worst. Her name is Lorelei Goering, and she is in ICU at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC....

Oh Boy here we go again, if you are in the 28% (oil millionares or me first right wingers) that still likes the republican agenda and GW you will love McCain. Who cares about the 71% majority.... screw what is best for the team, screw democracy! 10 things you should know about John McCain (but probably don't): 1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws. 2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than...

Democratic leaders called the latest National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iraq ‘s assessment of President Bush’s “surge” strategy “incredible.” General David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, and Ambassador Ryan Crocker, the top U.S. diplomat in Baghdad are said to be facing a tough grilling when they give testimony to key congressional committees this week. “To be blunt, I find the report incredible—as in hard to believe,” Senator Carl Levin (D-Mich.) said. “The claim that there has been significant progress in Iraq directly contradicts what the Democratic leadership in congress and our two presidential candidates have been saying. It...

(Evil genius Muqty "Mookie" Al-Sadr controls Iraq's future with the power of his mind.) The title of this post is taken from a Stephen Cobert riff on something Rudy Guliani said of Mitt Romney (the then-perceived leader in the Republican presidential race) after having failed to place in the first three successive Republican primaries: "I think I’ve lulled him into a false sense of security.” Yesterday, (Iraqi blogger) MHZ posted about going to hear American reporter Dahr Jamail talk about Iraq. At his book-signing, MHZ took Jamail to task for (as he saw it) boosting for Sadr. Besides calling for...

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obama’s pastor in a heated interview about his Church’s teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"... Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment...

Anyway, here is what Obama has actually said that an encomiastic main stream media will never put together for you: 1) "I opposed this war from the start" (speech August, 2002). 2) "I did oppose the war, yes, but after, when the invasion was finally launched, when I saw Saddam's statue topple and watched Bush atop the USS Abraham Lincoln, a banner behind him saying 'mission accomplished', I began to suspect that I might have been wrong (page 295 Audacity of Hope). 3) "What would I have done [about Iraq]. I don't know" (2004 Democratic Convention) (NY Times July 23,...

Why would a loving God allow evil? Probably one of the biggest issues regarding people’s objection to God, is the underlying feeling that God, ‘if He were God’, would not allow evil to affect so many people. Indeed, there is a great amount of terrible suffering in this world, and people naturally struggle with this important issue. Some of the accusations leveled toward God that I see quite commonly go along the lines of “God must not be perfect (or omnipotent) if He wasn’t big enough to prevent evil from affecting us”, and usually people will extend this accusation to...

This is more of a reminder to our readers to the National Jewish Democratic Council, which we are sure will not reply to this in any manner. We encourage our readers to copy and circulate this to others, especially Jewish Democrats, to remind them that the National Jewish Democratic Council has absolutely no standards with regard to racism, anti-Semitism, and other forms of bigotry when it comes from Democrats. On April 23, 2007–almost a year ago–we asked the National Jewish Democratic Council to object to meetings between Democratic Presidential candidates and Al Sharpton, whose record of promoting hatred of white...

When the United States of America is losing two wars and suffering from a severe recession with high food and energy costs as a sweetener the Republicans are lining up, en masse, for an indiscriminate pitiless slaughter, futility and failure their only results. Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York once said: “We are each entitled to our own opinion, but no one is entitled to his own facts". I think this quote pretty much sums up what I thought when I read this post from the Left Coaster blog this morning. Let's start with part one of the two part...

Obama Pledges Cuts in Missile Defense, Space, and Nuclear Weapons Programs February 29, 2008 :: News A video has surfaced of Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama talking on his plans for strategic issues such as nuclear weapons and missile defense. The full text from the video, as released, reads as follows: Thanks so much for the Caucus4Priorities, for the great work you've been doing. As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand with Caucus4Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington. First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the only major candidate who opposed this...

Get Ready for Real Manipulation By Jon Nadler Apr 7 2008 9:02AM www.kitco.com Good Morning, Gold maintained a resilient tone in Asian trading overnight, oscillating between $910 and $920 as stock markets gained a bit on investor confidence. Support came from a $1 rise in oil to $107 per barrel but further gains were capped by the US dollar's climb to back over 72 on the index (72.23) despite some waning of the level of confidence in its immediate prospects for a significant recovery. More will be known about such prospects following this weekend's G-7 get-together. New York spot trading...
