Both contenders for the Democratic nomination for president, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, have made statements about the efforts of the federal government to combat the problems caused by the collapse of the housing bubble. To paraphrase both of them, what they are saying is that it is somehow immoral to take steps to protect the financial system without bailing out individuals who, through their stupidity and/or their selfishness, are in danger of losing their homes. Both would turn over the tax money of working Americans to people who overreached themselves or are the victims of their own greed. It...

Earth Hour interfered with income tax preparation at our house last night, but we are pleased to report that we won't be attempting to characterize political contributions as charitable contributions on our US-1040. Barack and Michelle Obama did just that a couple of years ago when they deducted a $13, 107 political contribution to the Congressional Black Caucus as charitable contribution on their 2006 tax return. Deducting political contributions is strictly prohibited by the IRS, and I am still scratching my head about this incredible gaffe by two Harvard educated lawyers knowledgeable about both law and politics. Additionally, the return...

Evil is personified when a wealthy man believes he should have his own grandchild murdered if his underage daughter makes a mistake and gets pregnant. A twisted perversion of reality exists when that same wealthy man believes a grandchild would be punishment equal to the contraction of an S.T.D. So in Senator Obama we find an evil man with a twisted perversion of reality asking the American people to make him President. Obama's statement, “Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old, I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if...

Shanghai Daily reports that “FACTS” show that the Dalai Llama is responsible for the unrest in Tibet. Even though he has on many occasions called for peaceful protest. We also know that the main agitators are those who are tired of the Dalai Llama’s peaceful ways and want a more immediate change.

It looks like Head DUmmie Skinner can't abide any criticism, especially if it concerns his financial shennanigans. I recently read some exposés over at Ben Burch's DEMOCRAT WARRIOR (Ben Burche's forum) in which a former DUmmie Moderator revealed financial shennanigans by Skinner, namely how he let his LLC registration lapse without informing the DUmmies which is apparently a big no-no. So worried was Skinner about this that he sicced his lawyers on the Democrat Warrior site and they were forced to take down the posts by the former DUmmie mod as a result. I first found out about this...

While I cannot for obvious reasons, disclose the exact content of the communications between Donald Young and myself, I believe it to be important to provide a general outtake to maybe help you and I understand why I asked “how did Mr. Young obtain my contact information before I ever went public?” At first I was under the impression that I was being contacted by a member of the Obama staff to address my request that Obama himself correct his drug use record. I believed that to be, based on the questions Mr. Young had asked. What had in fact,...

Obama's excuses for not leaving his church are: 1) He was never present when his pastor made remarks like those America has now heard (questionable). 2) Pastor Wright has retired, so there is no need to leave now. But wait a second.... when I watched those videos I saw two things that were EQUALLY objectionable - the comments the pastor was making AND the enthusiastic applause he received from the congregation for making those comments. The pastor may have retired, but I'm sure that most of the congregants who applauded the pastor's comments are still there. So putting aside Pastor...

In the midst of sagging public confidence in both of the Party’s presidential contenders, Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Howard Dean took up the issue of experience. “People are saying that Senator McCain’s wartime experience makes him a better fit as the nation’s Commander-in-Chief,” Dean said. “But let’s look at the record.” “It’s true McCain fought in Vietnam, but what did he accomplish?” Dean asked. “He crashed his plane and was captured. He spent six years languishing in the ‘Hanoi Hilton.’ And we lost the war. That’s not much of an achievement.” “While McCain was failing in Vietnam Hillary Clinton...

Organizers with the Michigan campaign for a moratorium on foreclosures, evictions and utility shut-offs demonstrated on March 20 at the McNamara Federal Building in downtown Detroit. The campaign, a struggle project of the Michigan Emergency Committee Against War and Injustice (MECAWI), has been pressuring Gov. Jennifer Granholm to declare a state of economic emergency and impose a moratorium on home foreclosures. Michigan ranks among the worst states for the numbers of workers losing their homes due to racist, sexist subprime mortgages.

A few things came to mind about the new Al Gore ad campaign, and his appearance with wife Tipper on CBS’s 60 Minutes last night. The first was the confused nature of the claimed target of this largest ad campaign ever, at least according to the Washington Post. Gore has repeatedly insisted (and 60 Minutes reiterated the claim) that the public are overwhelmingly with him, and that it is therefore the too-timid lawmakers who must be influenced; but the ad spokesman says it is aimed at influencing the public. They are indeed walking a fine line here, because for their...

RIO DE JANEIRO, March 31 (Reuters) - The Brazilian military opened three field hospitals on Monday in Rio de Janeiro to help prevent more deaths from a dengue fever epidemic that has overwhelmed public clinics. The outbreak has killed 54 people since January and infected more than 43,500 in Rio de Janeiro state, according to official figures.

Just had a B1 Bomber fly over my home at about at 1500 to 2000 feet above the ground. This is a strange place to have one of them fly over that low. There isn't an air-base nearby. There are also some 2500 to 3000 foot mountains close by, that it would likely have had to travel over or around to come by our property. It looked just like the one pictured here. I am located in Glendale, California and the aircraft flew down the valley over the Oakmont Country Club, from the direction of La Crescenta...

No group in the history of warfare has acted in a more vile fashion than Al Qaeda. These thugs would make Reinhardt Heydrich (the Chief Operating Officer of the Final Solution) proud. By Al Qaeda, I include all the derivations, regular old Osama Bin Laden Al Qaeda and its bastard offspring, Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). They are not just murderers they are also liars and cowards. Al Qaeda are liars because, when they pull a particularly nasty terror attack, they don’t take the credit like the Samara Golden Mosque bombing in February 2006, and they take credit for things...

I have had it with manufacturers that don't match up products that go together with identical amounts. We all are familiar with the old 8 hot dogs and 10 hot dog buns conundrum. Well, now I have another situation - I love the 12 packs that hold a dozen soft drinks but my refrigerator has a specific space made for soft drinks but (you guessed it) it only holds 10 cans. For heavens sake, whey can't they match? Is that too much to ask?

Barack Obama welcomes material too Krazy for Kos: Oil Industry and Bush were Complicit in 9/11 We now have incontrovertable proof that Barack Obama’s official Web site welcomes material for which Markos Moulitsas Zúniga said he would ban people for posting at the Daily Kos. Here is the screenshot, which we encourage our readers to download (don’t link, it uses this site’s bandwidth) and circulate with Obama’s picture right at the top.

Opting Out of No Child Left Behind : Now Arizona must get its own house in order by Matthew Ladner, Ph.D. It looks like Arizona is set to opt out of No Child Left Behind. Arizonans need transparency and accountability in public schooling, but they do not need NCLB. The Goldwater Institute has written extensively about the flaws of NCLB. Chief among them is the fact that NCLB creates an entirely perverse incentive for states to lower their academic standards in order to meet a federal goal of 100 percent proficiency by 2014. A recent University of California Berkley study...
