Maureen Raymond, 49, was asked to perform a field sobriety test. Instead, the Port St. Lucie woman gave deputies another type of performance — she began to dance and disrobe, according to an arrest affidavit, reports Will Greenlee in his Off the Beat blog for TCPalm.com in Stuart.

[snip]...Jablonski remained true to his word -- neither he nor Obama showed up for the January 26 hearing. I noted last week that Obama was not scheduled to be anywhere near Atlanta on the date of the hearing, although I had wondered if still, perhaps, Georgia might be on his mind. According to reports in the blogosphere, the president's schedule on the morning of the 26th was open, and according to an unnamed source, Obama watched the live feed of the hearings. Perhaps Obama, as well as the several mainstream media news outlets I spotted at the hearing, were merely...

On Saturday night’s “Justice with Jeanine” on the Fox News Channel, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin once again stopped just short of giving former House Speaker Newt Gingrich her outright endorsement for the Republican nomination. In her appearance, she explained that despite criticisms of Gingrich’s long career in Washington, D.C., she doesn’t consider him part of the establishment because that same “establishment” is trying to hard to keep him from becoming the nominee.

Eric Boehlert, a prominent writer and spokesperson for the Soros-funded Media Matters propaganda website, lectured conservatives this past weekend on hate speech. His last tweet on the subject was posted last night at 8:25 PM.

In Fox Business Network interview, ex-Alaska Guv plays coy on whether she's still mulling a presidential bid. Palin: "It's not too late for folks to jump in. Who knows what will happen in the future."

So, the latest whispers are that the DOJ was shocked that an email their San Diego US Attorney wrote one afternoon ended up moving at the speed of shit through a goose to the Issa Committee and, here, featured in the pages of Sipsey Street the next morning. Pursuant to this outrage, I am told that I will be the focus of a forensic email audit to find out who tipped me off.

In one of the best Marx Brothers scenes is from A Night at the Opera, where Groucho and Chico are ripping up a contract and they finally come to the SANITY CLAUSE, in which Chico proclaims there is no SANITY CLAUSE. In tomorrow’s Financial Times, there is a story about France pushing for a Christmas gift from the ECB. The gift that the French are hoping for is a backstop for the European banks that are under severe stress because of the huge amount of EURO sovereign bonds on the banks’ balance sheets. In order for the ECB to act,...

COMMENTARY | Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's rebound in the polls is real enough. The question is whether conservative Republicans are simply trying him out as the newest anti-Mitt Romney candidate, or whether he is about to be the newest Republican for the 2012 nomination. Recent polls show the ex-Georgia congressman has made a tremendous recovery in the polls, passing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and ex-CEO Herman Cain with 23 percent of the vote, according to a Nov. 16 Fox News poll. Other surveys, such as the show a tighter race, but nobody disputes Gingrich's strong recovery from earlier...

It’s Only A Matter Of Time Before The Bombs Start Dropping Mac Slavo November 9th, 2011 SHTFplan.com Up until this week the nuclear ambitions of Iran were purported to be for peaceful energy purposes, despite protests from the United States and Israel that the program had more sinister goals. If a new report from the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is to be believed, Iran is, in fact, attempting to build nuclear weapons: The U.N. atomic agency said for the first time Tuesday that Iran is suspected of conducting secret experiments whose sole purpose is the development of nuclear...

Single until your dying day? Want to be married for eternity beyond death? Perhaps you could contact a temple Mormon who could arrange a “matchmaker” religious temple ritual for you "for eternity." “Perhaps the most unique thing about our temple ordinances," wrote BYU professor Daniel H. Ludlow, “is that they can be performed for the dead…Such ordinances as…temple marriage are performed in our temples for the dead and the living. The ordinances for the dead are performed by proxy-a person living on this earth stands as a proxy and receives these ordinances ‘for and in behalf’ of the deceased person....

A few years ago I swore off of writing on political topics. The frustration level just got to be too much to bear. But the recent advent of the “Occupy Wall Street” protests and the attack on capitalism has prompted back into political action. Those who know me well know that gardening is one of my passions and I’ve found over the years, and used, gardening as a fantastic metaphor for so many things in life. I want to relate a conversation I had nearly 20 years with an old neighbor of mine when I lived in the rich low-country...

No, we’re not talking about Fast and Furious today. We’re talking about what a beautiful weekend it was, and how much fun it was to go to the bucolic and gorgeous Cape Cod Fish and Game club and do some shooting! Some of you may remember reading my post about the process of getting a license in Massachusetts from last year. Since then, about the only thing I’ve done, gun-wise, was purchase a S&W kit gun, which is a nice little revolver; but after taking it to the range and trying it out, I found I didn’t really enjoy shooting...

For once we’re all in agreement this guy was a terrorist. But a reminder is in order of just who Awlaki was not so long ago. Just before the 9/11 attacks, he was the imam of the large Falls Church mosque in northern Virginia. He was the Muslim chaplain at George Washington University. The New York Times reported that, a few weeks before 9/11, Awlaki preached a sermon in the U.S. Capitol. After the 9/11 attacks, Awlaki was widely believed to be a moderate. He was first imam to pray at the U.S. Capitol with the Congressional Muslim Staff Association...

Since Governor Palin’s On the Record appearance Tuesday night, the blogosphere and media outlets have been buzzing with opinions that she’s not running for president in 2012. Her conversation with Greta Van Susteren left some to ponder, perhaps more than ever, if she has decided not to relinquish her freedom–not to be shackled–for the sake of a title. Comments left in various and sundry places revealed that some people were angry, some were confused, some were frustrated, while some remained encouraged. No one was unmoved, however. No one was without some type of reaction. No one was neutral. It was,...

What will it take to get Chris Christie to say yes and run for the GOP nomination? Come on down -- Sarah Palin. If the queen of the Tea Party makes a grand entrance into the Republican primary sweepstakes the New Jersey governor will finally say yes to all the calls for him to jump into the race. At this moment Palin has reason to think she should run. A mid-September McClatchy/Marist poll of registered voters put her only 5 percentage points behind President Obama in a head-to-head match-up. No previous poll ever put her in the elite category of...

This poll was posted by a guy who claims to be a conservative, but when you ask him why he dislikes Palin, he repeats the same lies as the MSM. Truth is, I personally thing he is a bit Schizophrenic, and I told him so in a comment a few days ago. He is hopping to prove me wrong by showing that no one would want Palin as the nominee. So do me a favor and shop him the power of FR. Below is his comment to me about what he thinks of Sarah Palin. There isn't one chance...

The critical issue for the 2012 election is whether or not a government of the people, by the people and for the people, shall perish from the earth. The US Government has been hijacked by a self-serving, permanent political class, which considers itself above the law and elections as bothersome formalities temporarily interrupting their plundering of the nation’s wealth. Having become comfortable with ignoring the will of the people, American politicians have created a culture of corruption in Washington, D.C., while they steadily whittle away at the Constitution to remove any remaining obstacles in their pursuit of personal power and...

Peer-review dogma in climate science and in science in general Posted on August 26, 2011 by Per Here is a video which describes vividly how global warming science has been able to capture the world and how climatologists with the help of the peer-review process has distorted the science . Worth looking at . I showed in the previous post about an article describing dr Roy Spencer’s new paper which shows that the atmosphere releases more heat into space than what is expected by climate models. This shows that the climate sensitivity of CO2 is low . Here is...
