Former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said Monday that “forces within the FBI” may have sought to elect Donald Trump as president. “There are at least forces within the FBI that wanted her to lose,” Podesta said during an interview with John Heilemann hosted by NewCo. Podesta offered no evidence to back-up his speculation. “I’m not sure they really understood the alternative, but they wanted her to lose. I think that’s one possibility.” These “forces” could have played a role in FBI Director James Comey’s controversial decision to alert Congress 11 days before the election that the FBI was...

For some time now we have been hearing media pundits, politicians, and celebrities tell us that the Russians stole the election from the grasps of Hillary Clinton and gave it to Donald Trump. Personally, I don’t understand how some emails being released could have caused such a huge electoral college shellacking. Donald Trump won by 74 votes (a margin that by Presidential election standards is not even close). Nevertheless, I like to think I am a fair person. That is why I’ll play along for a moment with the notion that the Russians successfully swayed the opinions of millions of...

Hillary Clinton’s staff is still furious over her loss, and more than anything, they blame former President Barack Obama. The camps are clashing over the heated blame game. Clinton’s side insists Obama was the biggest reason she lost, according to Clinton staffers that spoke with Axios. They think his lack of support was more harmful than her scandals, Russian interference in the election or FBI Director James Comey’s investigation. Obama didn’t do enough, wasn’t active enough and should have been much less cautious in imposing sanctions on Russia, Clinton’s camp said.

A candidate for the Democratic National Committee blames Hillary Clinton's loss in the 2016 election on her decision to tap Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia as her running mate. [Snip] "We lost simply ... because Hillary did not pick the right running partner," Mr. Tolliver said in response to a question.

Democrats still mourning the outcome of last month's election have added a new step to their grieving process: leveling charges of racism against those who support the constitutional method of electing the president. In keeping with the process stipulated in the 12th Amendment, 538 electors representing all 50 states gathered on Monday to cast their ballots for the 45th president. The result – that Donald Trump will officially enter the Oval Office on Jan. 20 – was affirmed by the Electoral College, an institution the Left is now casting as racist and anti-Democratic. Mere hours after Trump topped the 270...

The Obama administration is close to announcing a series of measures to punish Russia for its interference in the 2016 presidential election, including economic sanctions and diplomatic censure, according to U.S. officials. The administration is still finalizing the details, which are also expected to include covert action that likely will involve cyber operations, the officials said. An announcement on the public elements of the response could come as early as this week. The sanctions part of the package culminates weeks of debate in the White House about how to revise an executive order from last year meant to give the...

Donald J. Trump won the white working-class vote over Hillary Clinton by a larger margin than any major-party nominee since World War II. Instead of this considerable achievement inspiring introspection, figures from the heights of journalism, entertainment, literature and the Clinton campaign continue to suggest that Mr. Trump won the presidency by appealing to the bigotry of his supporters. As Bill Clinton recently said, the one thing Mr. Trump knows “is how to get angry white men to vote for him.”This stereotyping of Trump voters is not only illiberal, it falsely presumes Mr. Trump won because of his worst comments...

A thousand explanations have emerged since Election Day of how Hillary Clinton lost. The Russians and the FBI, two popular culprits, may have contributed in their own way to her defeat, but Clinton's own campaign deserves tons of blame. Since Election Day, remarkable reports have come out, alleging jaw-dropping errors by Clinton's team. We're trying to keep a running tally. The latest in the growing list of Clinton's reported campaign mistakes involves her chief primary rival, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and his supporters. Here's the gist: Clinton's campaign reportedly ignored advice and counsel from Sanders' people during the general election,...

Hillary Clinton felt compelled to run for president despite lacking a clear campaign vision, Vice President Joe Biden argued in an interview published Thursday. “I don’t think she ever really figured it out,” Biden told the Los Angeles Times’ Mike Memoli. “And by the way, I think it was really hard for her to decide to run.” Biden said Clinton likely felt obliged to run for president and that the historic nature of her bid weighed on her decision-making. “She thought she had no choice but to run. That, as the first woman who had an opportunity to win the...

Trump’s policies in favor of free enterprise and freedom of speech and in favor of all the Amendments to and protections of the U.S. Constitution and Trump’s positions against terrorists and criminals and repressions of freedom of thought Those who argue that the Russian hackers gave Donald Trump an unfair advantage would do well to consider that the unfair advantage argument actually favors Trump over Clinton since (1) Hillary had far more unfair advantages than Trump; (2) Most notably, the mainstream press gave her an unfair advantage;

Obama and the Democrats keep coming up with ways to blame anyone but themselves for the outcome of this election. Their latest target is Russia, and Kellyanne Conway has finally had enough of it. “The entire nonsense about the electors trying to use the Russian hacking issue to change the election results is really unfortunate. I think that actually undermines the democracy more than any other conservation that we are having fight now,” said Kellyanne Conway.

While many of Hillary Clinton’s top advisers have focused their post-presidential election fury on blaming alleged Russian interference and FBI Director James Comey for Clinton’s loss, some in the so-called “Hillaryland” orbit are looking inward, including pointing fingers at Clinton’s most-trusted aide: Huma Abedin. “The real anger is toward Hillary’s inner circle,” a Clinton insider told Vanity Fair for a Wednesday feature on Abedin. “They reinforced all the bad habits.” One of the most important people in that “inner circle” was Abedin, 40, who has been by Clinton’s side since she was a White House intern during President Bill Clinton’s...

Donna Brazile is calling on Congress to conduct a bipartisan investigation into Russia’s meddling in the U.S. election. “As Chair of the Democratic National Committee — one of the main victims of the Russian attacks — I ask that you support and provide any needed assistance to an independent, bipartisan investigation of the attacks that includes public hearings," the interim chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee wrote in a letter to Congress Sunday.

Loser's excuse of the day Today’s accepting-the-results-of-the-election update comes from the loser herself, who is now fully onboard with the Putin-did-it narrative, and wants everyone to know that Putin has held a grudge against her for the past five years because she - even the smooth diplomat - said something he didn’t like: Hillary Clinton said Thursday night that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s alleged involvement in the hacking of Democratic organizations during the 2016 election stemmed from a longtime grudge Putin has held against her.

President Obama is on his way out, and he’s directed an investigation into Russian influence in our November 2016 election. Needless to say, Obama didn’t feel it necessary to investigate the Clinton Foundation and the uranium sales to the Russians which benefitted the Kremlin. The bottom line is that the Hillary Clinton loss in November had nothing to do with the Russians, other than her stupid reset button. The Clinton loss had everything to do with a failed Obama administration and a pathetic presidential candidate who had no message — and actually said she’d continue the failing policies of Obama....
