Ventura, CA – On October 31, 2012 The Los Angeles Times reported a 3 year old Basset Hound died after being set on fire with lighter fluid in Ventura County. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reported the dog was found on Saturday morning in a ravine engulfed in flames, just outside the Camarillo city limits. ARLINGTON, Texas - A dog owner claims an Arlington police officer overreacted and shot his dog five times as his children watched. Buck Yandle said two police officers and an animal control officer showed up at his home on Lake Jackson Drive last week. They were there about his dog Bucky, a basset hound and Rottweiler mix.
