BOSTON (AP) - Barack Obama's Kenyan aunt lost her bid for asylum more than four years ago, and a judge ordered her deported. Instead, Zeituni Onyango stayed, living for years in public housing. Now, in a case that puts the president in a tough position both personally and politically, Onyango's request is being reconsidered under a little-used provision in U.S. immigration rules that allows denied asylum claims to be reheard if applicants can show that something has changed to make them eligible. A Boston Housing Authority official said yesterday the agency was never notified of a deportation order issued for Barack Obama’s aunt, who has been living in federal- and state-funded public housing in South Boston since 2003. BHA Deputy Director William McGonagle said Zeituni Onyango, 56, a native of Kenya, met the criteria to live in federally funded housing when she applied in 2003. BBC 'must improve coverage of EU' The BBC must make its coverage of Europe "more demonstrably impartial", an independent inquiry has said. The report, commissioned by the BBC governors, found no evidence of deliberate bias in BBC reporting. But it said there was a "widespread perception" of "certain forms of cultural and unintentional bias" which had to be corrected.
