Palestinians and their allies have justified and even celebrated Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre in Israel as a blow against Jewish oppression. But the 2 million Arab citizens of Israel have overwhelmingly responded by drawing closer to the Jewish state. Among Arab Israelis, prominent media personalities have helped lead an unprecedented surge in support for their country and opposition to their self-proclaimed liberator Hamas. Pro-Israel arguments that were previously almost unspeakable in the Arab mainstream have in recent weeks gotten a respectful hearing. Yoseph Haddad, a 38-year-old Christian Arab influencer, has skyrocketed to fame in Israel with his outspoken advocacy for...

There is no telling how far he will go next time if Itamar Ben Gvir succeeds in delivering on the law and order campaign which turned him into the story of the last elections. And Ben Gvir knows that. That's why, as Minister of National Security, he fought for an unprecedented increase in the police budget, and that's also why he is pressing to implement plans for a National Guard staffed with the high quality personnel that a starting salary of NIS 12,000 a month can hire. The role of the National Guard, as Ben Gvir campaigned, is as a...

The picture painted by the mainstream international media and loud-mouthed anti-Israel advocates is always the same: Israel is a racist and oppressive place to live for Arabs. This, so the argument goes, is particularly true following this week's government approval of the controversial "Jewish State" law. But, if Israel's such a bad place for non-Jews to live, then why does an overwhelming majority local Arabs prefer life under the rule of the Israeli government, as opposed to the Palestinian Authority? That was the finding of a survey commissioned by Israel's Channel 10 News and carried out last week by the...

Aatef Karinaoui says that the current Arab elected officials in the Knesset do not truly represent the Arab-Israeli public and spend most of their time bashing Israel instead. Karinaoui, a Arab Muslim Bedouin from the southern city of Rahat hopes that his new party will make a difference. The party, tenatively called El Amal Lat’gir, translated from Arabic as Hope for Change, will run in the upcoming January 22nd national elections. Karinaoui's views were exposed in an interview with Israeli based journalist Philippe Assouline. Assouline spoke to Israel National Radio about his eye-opening conversation with the Muslim politician. For the...

Crime rates in the Arab sector are a cause for concern as Ministry of Public Security figures reveal that in 2011 Arabs were involved in 67% of the murder cases and 70% of attempted murder cases. In efforts to fight the soaring crime rates, Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch will on Sunday present ministers with a perennial plan to improve personal and community security within the Arab sector. The data also revealed that Arabs were involved in 38% of aggravated assault cases as well as 36% of robbery cases and 52% of arson incidents. Nevertheless, the crime rates referring to...

Not with my money Lori Lowenthal Marcus, THE JERUSALEM POST Feb. 13, 2007 Some of the money mainstream Jewish donors think is being used to help preserve Israel as the Jewish homeland is actually being used to undermine Israel's existence as a Jewish state. Most American and other Jews use Jewish Federations as a kind of mutual fund adviser, which makes decisions about and invests their donors' funds in programs they have vetted and determined to be in accordance with the donors' wishes. In turn, most Federations channel funds designated for Israel programs through the Jewish Agency for Israel. (A...

I recently appeared as a speaker at the second annual Jerusalem Summit held at Israel's King David Hotel. In doing so, I deliberately flaunted the rules that govern Arab behavior toward Israel. Israel's neighbors, the dictatorships that compose the Arab League, forbid their subjects to visit or do business with Israel and its citizens. I am an American raised in Gaza and Egypt; needless to say, I expected my visit to raise some eyebrows. In fact, Israel is a traveler's delight. This tiny country welcomes tourists from around the globe. Israel combines the charms of East and West, and given...

Dr. David Bukay of Haifa University's Political Science Department was asked on Arutz-7 today his opinion of the growing phenomenon of Israeli-Arab terrorist cells. "It's no longer a matter of 'wild weeds,'" he said this morning, after the sixth such cell in a year was uncovered yesterday, "but rather a common phenomenon. Hizbullah is the new big leader, starting with Israel's retreat from Lebanon, and now Balad and Islamic Jihad are now blatantly Hizbullah movements." Balad, it should be noted, is an Israeli political party with three Knesset Members - two of whose leading members were arrested yesterday on suspicion...

Arab Surrender Plan Updated on 2002-04-02 10:05:46 Last few days have seen a flare up in the Middle East. The very last thing U.S.-led global coalition on terrorism ever wished for. Nevertheless, the intensity and mounting casualties have struck at the heart of everyone in the world. The United Nations swiftly passed a resolution by 14-0 demanding Israel pulls out of Palestinian areas. Israel army and tanks have taken complete control over areas previously under the control of Palestinian Authority. Israel has put President Arafat under military siege. Israeli President Sharon called President Arafat a ‘terrorist’ making it clear President...
