On CNN’s State of the Union today, Candy Crowley grilled Obama campaign advisor and former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on a recent attack ad released hitting Mitt Romney for outsourcing. Crowley ran the ad, pointing out that The Washington Post rated it false (“four Pinocchios”), and challenged Gibbs to explain why this is still being used as a line of attack against Romney. RELATED: Romney Seeks Formal WaPo Retraction For Bain Capital Outsourcing Story (UPDATE) Crowley also cited a more recent ad where the Obama campaign cites a Washington Post article on the claim that Romney outsourced jobs...

Crows perch on spindly trees. Barren streets and empty swing sets. An antiquated wall clock. A playground carousel spinning slowly with an eerie screech. The visuals conjure a horror film or the old TV series, "The Twilight Zone." But the collection of spine-tingling scenes pervades Rick Santorum's new web video trailer about life under the Obama administration.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The plodding Republican presidential nomination fight is grinding forward toward Puerto Rico — and a two-man race, with Rick Santorum ascendant and Mitt Romney vanquished in the Deep South. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, the former Georgia lawmaker whose Southern strategy stalled, was all but relegated to an asterisk in the contest even as he vowed to stay in it. “Now is the time to pull together,” Santorum declared to conservatives in Lafayette, La., after winning Tuesday’s primaries in Alabama and Mississippi, urging the party’s faithful to unite behind him to beat Romney. “We are...

San Diego Chargers quarterback — and Alabama native — Philip Rivers announced Thursday that he would endorse Rick Santorum in the state's presidential primary, praising the former Pennsylvania senator's record on social issues. "I am supporting Rick Santorum for President because of his stance on issues that attack vital Christian values our country was founded upon: no abortion, upholding traditional marriage, defending religious freedom, no euthanasia," Rivers said in a statement. The quarterback went on to pledge to help Santorum as he campaigns through the Deep South.

Here's Rick Santorum's latest ad, and in my opinion, it's his most powerful broadside against Mitt Romney and the Washington establishment. REBELLION This comes on the heels of another Santorum ad that does exactly what the Not-Romneys should all be doing--demonstrating that there is no difference between Romney and Obama. EASY ANSWER These hard hitting ads should put to rest any ideas that Rick Santorum is running as a stalking horse for Romney or for the Vice Presidential slot. Santorum is doing exactly what many of us hoped he'd do--hit Romney hard, again and again. Win or lose, you've got...

Fellow Conservative, Americans have been down this road before. At various times both parties nominated boring candidates because they were considered "electable". In every one of those cases, they weren't electable at all. Now Republicans are again thinking about nominating another bland and boring candidate for President – Mitt Romney. If we don't love our candidate, how can we expect Democrats and Independents to? We must stop him in South Carolina with a BOLD conservative who can contrast himself starkly with President Obama and inspire Americans to vote for him. In the South Carolina polls, I am running just behind...

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Even Rick Perry's top advisers thought it was over. After the Texas governor finished fifth in the Iowa caucuses on Tuesday night, Perry's staff and volunteers gathered around the bar in a Des Moines hotel to say goodbyes, drink beer and mourn what appeared to be the end of his quest for the Republican nomination for president. Perry had, after all, just said that he would return to Texas and "reassess" his campaign in a speech that had all the markings of a withdrawal from the race. Only it wasn't. Less than 12 hours later,...

In his speech before the Republican Jewish Coalition, Newt Gingrich just pledged that, if elected, he would ask John Bolton to be his secretary of state.

From the W moment he launched his presidential campaign on a windy New Hampshire morning in June, Willard Mitt Romney has been the acknowledged front-runner in the Republican race. He has raised more money, earned more support from his party's establishment, hired more paid staff and secured more endorsements than any of the seven other "major" GOP candidates. There is but one nagging thing keeping Romney from being dubbed the "inevitable" GOP nominee in 2012 - a solid 75 per cent of the voters in his party simply cannot stand the guy. "He is cold gravy," said Stephen Schneck, a...

SEOUL — Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin took aim Tuesday at the political elite in the United States, Europe and China, as she brought her criticisms of big government and "crony capitalism" to South Korea. Days after announcing she would not run for president in 2012, Palin said there "will be a woman president of the United States of America, and I look forward to that day", but did not elaborate on why she did not enter the race. The 2008 vice-presidential candidate told supporters last week she could help the Republican cause more by working to elect others. In...

A source on the Rick Perry campaign tells Hot Air that the Texas governor conducted some Texas-size fundraising in the third quarter. Coming in just a little over halfway through, Perry raised $17.1 million. That number would put Perry somewhere between $4-6 million ahead of Mitt Romney’s rumored total for Q3, according to this report last week from the Boston Globe. It’s also likely to far outpace Herman Cain’s fundraising or that of the other Republicans currently in the race. The pace is even more impressive. Perry had 49 days in which to raise funds, rather than the full 92...
