Actress Annette Funicello is hospitalized after suffering smoke inhalation in an early-morning fire at her Encino home. The fire was reported at 7:21 a.m. in the 3100 block of North Fond Drive. The former Mouseketeer, her husband and Funicello's nurse were transported to the hospital. All were said to be in good condition.
