New York Times columnist and Nobel laureate economist Paul Krugman is questioning Oklahoma Republican Sen. Tom Coburn’s claim that Obamacare caused him to lose his cancer specialist. “It’s a garbage story, it really is,” said Krugman in a back-and-forth with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on CNN after the State of the Union on Tuesday. Coburn, who announced earlier this month that he’ll resign from office at the end of the year as he battles his fourth bout with cancer, told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that his oncologist was no longer covered under his health care plan.

Allan Brauer, the elected communications chair of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County, California, is not a fan of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). When speechwriter and advisor to Cruz, Amanda Carpenter, took to Twitter to rally Republicans in the Senate to support a bill which would defund the Affordable Care Act, Brauer expressed his frustration with this sentiment in no uncertain terms. “May your children all die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases,” Brauer wrote. This sentiment ignited a firestorm on Twitter and many attacked Brauer for the inappropriateness of his comment.

A Democratic Party official in Sacramento County has resigned after sending an offensive Twitter message during a heated exchange over President Obama’s health care law. SNIP Brauer addressed the offensive tweet to Amanda Carpenter, a speechwriter for Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, as House Republicans voted to defund the health care law. Brauer wrote, “May your children all die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases.” SNIP

If there’s one thing liberals/progressives can’t handle it is being held to their own standards. They support higher taxes but shelter their wealth in trusts and tax havens, which already is earned and no longer taxable as income, so they can avoid the death tax. They claim “the rich” aren’t paying their “fair share” and decry “loopholes” but then avail themselves of every deduction their accountants can find. Allan Brauer, Communications Committee chairman for the Democratic Party of Sacramento County (DPSC) was asked for his resignation just one day after tweeting death wishes to the children of a female Ted Cruz staffer, Amanda Carpenter. Brauer tweeted such remarks as, This is not uncommon among liberal political flacks. One look at the vile remarks made after the deaths of Ronald Reagan and maggie Thatcher are prime examples. What is uncommon is someone paying the price for those remarks. And indeed, his bosses in Sacremento, California, overlooked them until the heat got turned up by his continuing tweets.
