This past Wednesday evening, March 11, renowned conservative author and columnist Don Feder came to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, sponsored by the UMass Republican Club, to give a speech on "Hate Crimes -- Fighting Bias With Fascism" - the myth of hate crimes and the liberals who propagate the laws targeting them. It promised to be an illuminating event. But the college homosexual activists decided that he shouldn't be allowed to speak. They boldly announced that they intended to disrupt the event, and campus police responded requiring the UMass Republican Club to pay $600.00 to hire 5 policemen to...

JERUSALEM (Map, News) - An American demonstrator was critically wounded Friday in a clash between protesters and Israeli troops over Israel's West Bank separation barrier. Peace activists with the International Solidarity Movement said Tristan Anderson, of the Oakland, Calif., area, was struck in the head with a tear gas canister fired by Israeli troops. The military and the Tel Aviv hospital where Anderson was taken had no details on how he was hurt. "He's in critical condition, anesthetized and on a ventilator and undergoing imaging tests," said Orly Levi, a spokeswoman at the Tel Hashomer hospital. She described Anderson's condition...

Congratulations to six U.S. senators and 23 members of congress who scored perfect zeros from SEIU, the George Soros lackey union who wants to turn us all into government employees or gulag slaves to support them. These are, by no means, the only good members of congress, but they deserve special applause for their perfect scores against this, one of the most sinister and corrupt of unions. Those in the YouTube crowd may have seen the clip of supporters of fringe Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul (dubbed "Paultards" by Wonkette) inundating a recent San Francisco Republican Alliance straw poll. The unexpected cavalcade of Paul people led organizer Gail Neira to call the whole thing off. While observing outraged Paul advocates roaring "You're a disgrace!" at a flustered woman wearing a Santa hat is its own special kind of funny, that was far from the only hoot. The real joke was that the Paul people wasted their outrage lambasting Neira as a representative of the dishonorable party establishment....

Critical Mass, the loosely organized bicycle group that ties up rush-hour traffic once a month in Minneapolis, has demonstrated who rules our streets. But Minneapolis isn't the only place where the Mass mob has strong-armed the police and City Hall, and left outraged motorists fuming but impotent. Today, Critical Mass cyclists cow commuters in more than 300 cities, from Denver to Rio de Janeiro, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The ride got its start in San Francisco (where else?) in 1992 with about 50 cyclists. Authorities there looked the other way as riders ran red lights and snarled traffic....

The history of the United States is a tale of constant oppression— a story of a checkered past where political leaders and economic moguls continually acted in their own self-interest… or so many left-leaning history authors would prefer modern Americans to believe. American history has been hijacked by the left wing, where the mistakes of America’s past such as slavery, disenfranchisement, and class warfare are overemphasized, while Franklin D. Roosevelt is simultaneously glorified as the savior of the twentieth century with his New Deal policies. While most textbooks of that nature may cast American history in a bad light and...

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 - Counterterrorism agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation have conducted numerous surveillance and intelligence-gathering operations that involved, at least indirectly, groups active in causes as diverse as the environment, animal cruelty and poverty relief, newly disclosed agency records show. F.B.I. officials said Monday that their investigators had no interest in monitoring political or social activities and that any investigations that touched on advocacy groups were driven by evidence of criminal or violent activity at public protests and in other settings. After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, John Ashcroft, who was then attorney general, loosened restrictions...

During hostilities in Vietnam, U.S. casualties were fewer than 10,000 at the end of 1967 and the beginning of 1968. From those days of the 1968 Tet offensive in Vietnam, to the close of hostilities in 1975, nearly 48,000 more American service personnel died. During that same post-Tet period, anti-war sentiment reached a fever pitch back in the United States. These statistics stand firm as a stark reminder of how a populace of an uninformed or misinformed nation can kill their own citizen soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen. During this same post-Tet period, the senior North Vietnamese Commander, General Giap,...

Until recently, the International Solidarity Movement website openly encouraged lying and lawbreaking in supporting Palestinian “armed struggle” against Israeli “occupation.” However, a Front Page Magazine article last July has caused much of this to be removed and led to ISM activists being stopped at Israeli borders and even deported. The Front Page article in question exposed the activities of San Francisco ISM lead trainer Jamie Spector, a 33 year-old social worker who claims to be Jewish, after FPM writer Lee Kaplan went undercover and attended an ISM session. Spector taught a class of about ten ISM “volunteers” who were to...

The fringe left was out in all its glory in San Francisco on Saturday (6/5), marking the anniversary of Israel's 1967 war. International A.N.S.W.E.R. organizers also managed to lump Iraq into the equation, with the blanket statement, ''End All Occupations!'' And just to cover their bases, the banner above the stage read, ''U.S. Troops Out of Everwhere!'' The banner also called for the U.S. to ''End the Torture'' and of course, there were many references to Abu Ghraib throughout the day. But all in all, it was a pitiful display and the best they could turn out was 4000-5000 people....

A generation ago, during the late 1960s and early 1970s, young people in America turned out by the thousands, and sometimes hundreds of thousands, to protest the U.S. war in Vietnam. Today the Iraq war is just as hotly debated in the United States, but there are few street protests, and those few are not well attended. Last week, U.S. President George W. Bush traveled to the southern state of Louisiana to deliver the commencement address for Louisiana State University, and urged the new graduates to use their educations wisely. "Our country depends on business people who are honest in...

By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON - A group of gay Republicans who supported President Bush (news - web sites) in 2000 will air a television ad opposing a Bush-backed Constitutional amendment that would prohibit gays from marrying. The 30-second spot by the Log Cabin Republicans shows Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) at a debate four years ago saying, "People should be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to enter into." The ad begins Thursday in several states. The vice president also says: "I don't think there should necessarily be a federal...

One of Sen. John Kerry's celebrity supporters is ready to pull out all the stops to get him elected. Republicans are shrieking over a suggestion by rocker Moby that Democrats spread gossip about President Bush on the Internet. "No one's talking about how to keep the other side home on Election Day," Moby tells us. "It's a lot easier than you think and it doesn't cost that much. This election can be won by 200,000 votes." Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web. "You target his natural constituencies," says the Grammy-nominated techno-wizard....

What seemed to be an odd assortment of people joined forces in Pretoria on Wednesday to express strong opposition to the United States President George Bush's visit to South Africa. About a thousand people gathered under the banner of the Anti-War Coalition to march on the US embassy around lunchtime. Hippies, men and women in traditional Muslim dress, militant toyi-toying youngsters and even some Americans turned up for the event. "Go away, we've got enough Bushes in Africa," read a poster held up by one middle-aged man. The group chanted "Who let the bombs drop - Bush, Blair, Sharon", to...

<p>San Francisco -- More than 600 journalists are embedded with the U.S. military forces in the Middle East. But no journalists are believed to have been embedded in the peace movement.</p>
<p>Until now.</p>
<p>The invitation to attend an activist training session came from organizers with Direct Action to Stop the War, the umbrella group that coordinated the civil disobedience protests that knotted up downtown San Francisco last week and have led to 2,300 arrests. While activists aren't planning any more large- scale civil disobedience, they will aim protests at corporations they deem to be "war profiteers."</p>
