In October the Adoremus Bulletin surveyed readers about the liturgy -- part of our continuing effort to present clearly and accurately the information that is most important to faithful Catholics. Nearly 1,100 readers responded to the survey -- about 4% of our total readership -- the vast majority of whom were laity. 8.5% of respondents identified themselves as priests or religious. If there is one element which unites the liturgical atmosphere of the Western Church at this present time, it is unfortunately that of conflict. More unfortunate is that this conflict is not absent amongst those who could be allies by reason of their mutual love of the Church and her traditions.
