The Pentagon's top official dealing with Russia has just resigned, according to Politico. Evelyn Farkas, deputy assistant secretary of defence for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, will leave at the end of October, a senior defence official told Politico. Ms Farkas's responsibilities included dealing with Russia on Syria and Ukraine.
