WASHINGTON, March 22, 2007 – A mile’s worth of yellow ribbon bearing the signatures of 10,000 young Americans is finally bound for Baghdad. Seventeen-year-old Matthew Cook (center) stopped at the Pentagon with his parents, David and Sharon Cook, while visiting Washington to collect signatures on a section of yellow ribbon. Cook has arranged to ship the ribbon -- which now stretches a mile long -- to Iraq this fall as a show of young people’s support for deployed troops.
