I have been writing here for about a decade that wind and solar would inevitably prove to be far more expensive for producing useful electricity than other methods like fossil fuels, nuclear, or hydro. The reasons are not difficult to understand. Wind and solar, due to intermittency, are not capable of powering a full-time electrical grid on their own. To make the grid capable of fulfilling customer demand 24/7/365, wind and solar require large amounts of additional capital infrastructure — dispatchable back-up generation, energy storage, additional transmission capacity, and more. If wind and solar prove insufficient to eliminate dispatchable back-up...

🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(12/15/25)[Prayer]The Scriptures in Handel’s “Messiah”1 Corinthians 15:52-5352 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.Holy Bible, The King James Version________________________

There are so many advantages to being an old man that I wonder why I put it off for so long . One is that the Proust Reading Group has stopped inviting me to join and another is the number of dreadful stories in the news that for a man my age come under the heading "Not My Problem" such as the shortage of goods due to shipping backlogs, freighters lined up for miles waiting to unload in ports, people unable to find what they need. I have the opposite problem: too much stuff, need a ship to come up...

An obvious career shoplifter strolled into a Wisconsin Walmart she had robbed days prior, to find the store crawling with more than a dozen cops during an annual holiday event. Sophia Malak, 24, was quickly arrested by the officers during the yearly “Shop with a Cop” charity event at the Hartford, Wis., store, the Hartford Police Department announced in a post last week. Malak had allegedly stolen over $600 worth of merchandise just days prior and was found with a cart full of items. “Unfortunately for her, she walked straight into Walmart during the one time of year when the...

On Saturday's On the Town I played the late Ted Egan's classic song "We Got Some Bloody Good Drinkers in the Northern Territory" - and wondered afterwards: "Does it get any more Australian than that?" Answer came there less than twenty-four hours later. Wherever you live in the west, "diversity" seems to be making us all the same: one big rapey-stabby blood-drenched craphole. That said, Sydney's Jew-slaughter was of sufficient scale to obscure America's two simultaneous Hannukah attacks - in Los Angeles and at Brown University, the would-be killer and actual killer still at large. As I first wrote all...

I had a visitor from the East Coast, a few weeks ago, and I drove her around the San Fernando Valley to show her what a dismal ----hole it is. But I kept missing all the encampment sites and pirate RV villages, which move around, so we ended up driving around the Encino hills, where my plan to show a visitor how disgusting Los Angeles has become led to the visitor saying that oh my goodness, this is such a pretty neighborhood. I apologized for the absence of squalor. There’s a lot of that going around. A bunch of recent...

The prosecutor argued that the slogan “White lives matter” constitutes an insult to people with dark skin. Both suspects, identified as John A. and Daniel S. (25 and 35 years old at the time), lost their appeal and now face six months in prison, which Dutch mainstream media describes as a “light sentence”. They faced charges such as insulting a group, inciting discrimination, disseminating discriminatory messages and possessing discriminatory stickers.

LOS ANGELES — Legendary director Rob Reiner and his longtime wife have been found stabbed to death inside their Brentwood home and investigators are eyeing the couple’s troubled adult son as a person of interest, according to law enforcement sources. Officers were called to the home Sunday afternoon, where they discovered a man and woman with stab wounds, according to sources. The Los Angeles Fire Department told NBC Los Angeles that a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were found dead inside the home. Post sources confirmed the bodies discovered were the longtime couple, who married in 1989. The couple’s...

National Cabinet has vowed strengthen Australia's gun laws in the wake of the Bondi Beach terror attack. In a statement following the snap meeting on Monday, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said "immediate" priorities included a crackdown on 3D-printed weapons, tighter limits on the number of firearms a person can own, gun imports, and equipment that can hold large amounts of ammunition. Albanese also said police ministers and attorneys-general across the nation had been tasked with developing a number of policies which would limit Australians' access to firearms. They include a requirement that all licence-holders are Australian citizens, deeper background checks...

@RepThomasMassie Last night I received a disclosure from a new FBI whistleblower regarding the J6 pipe bomb case. This is the third disclosure I’ve received from current and former employees of the government regarding the pipe bomb case in recent weeks. These brave moral people could lose their jobs and wreck their careers, but they care deeply for our country. So at the risk of editorializing, I will summarize what I learned from this newest disclosure in order not to disclose the identity of this whistleblower. The community where the suspect was arrested is populated with several employees of the...

A shooter dressed in black killed at least two people and wounded nine others at Brown University on Saturday during final exams on the Ivy League campus, authorities said, and that person appears to still be at large as police are releasing a person of interest, who was detained Sunday amid their active investigation...

Ella Cook, a 19-year-old sophomore from Birmingham, Alabama, was a student at Brown University, tragically killed in the December 13, 2025, campus shooting. An active parishioner at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, she was remembered as a grounded, faithful, and bright light in her community. She served as Vice President of the Brown University Republican Club and was described by peers as a staunch conservative unafraid to express her views on a liberal campus. Prior experience included work at Oxbridge Academic Programs and Mountain Brook Creamery

Trumps Honeymoon is over. Before we count the ways, a couple of simple observations: 1) Why are we surprised? For every action, there is an equal (or greater) reaction. It just took a bit more to get over Shock and Awe. and 2) Why listen to the Democrats when they speak about Republicans? They certainly, when the shoe is on the other foot, don't. And, ditto, that goes for their minions in the press. There, a couple moments of clarity you won't find on 24 hour news.-> It took a while for the Good Old Boy network of the GOP to...

This is a special time for Christians, Jews and for the Muslims trying to kill them. On October 9, 2023, the Sydney Opera House was supposed to be the scene of a Jewish solidarity rally with the victims of the Oct 7 Islamic massacres in Israel. Muslim mobs instead took over, waving terrorist flags and screaming, “Where are the Jews” and F___ the Jews” while the authorities did nothing. Despite the widespread availability of videos and eyewitness accounts, the authorities and the media vocally denied it ever happened. Arson attacks at two synagogues, one of which was set on fire...

The recent Democratic cry of “affordability” is ironic in many ways. The left-wing narrative of Trump hyperinflation was one of desperation and came only after previous memes had failed to resonate. The 2025 generic “dictator,” “fascist,” and “Nazi” smear points never helped the left much. Nor did the nihilist government shutdown over the “Obamacare crisis” work other than perhaps to depress fourth-quarter GDP. Nor did the earlier spring 2025 melodramatic predictions of an impending “Trade War,” “Recession,” and stock-market “Meltdown resonate.” Nor did the “Gestapo,” “SS,” and “Nazi” ICE smears become effective talking points. The “illegal orders” and “unconstitutional use...

The purification of the temple and city. Other exploits of Judas. His victory over Timotheus. 1 But Machabeus, and they that were with him, by the protection of the Lord, recovered the temple and the city again. 2 But he threw down the altars, which the heathens had set up in the streets, as also the temples of the idols. 3 And having purified the temple, they made another altar: and taking fire out of the fiery stones, they offered sacrifices after two years, and set forth incense, and lamps, and the loaves of proposition. 4 And when they had...
