Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to propose fully reoccupying the Gaza Strip when he meets his security cabinet, Israeli media say. "The die has been cast. We're going for the full conquest of the Gaza Strip – and defeating Hamas," local journalists quote a senior official saying. Responding to reports that the army chief and other military leaders oppose the plan, the unnamed official said: "If that doesn't work for the chief of staff, he should resign." The families of hostages fear such plans could endanger their loved ones, with 20 out of 50 believed to be alive in...

Air superiority is no longer just a matter of the capabilities of individual aircraft. It’s a question of posture, doctrine, and overall warfighting infrastructure. And in that domain, the contest is no longer so lopsided. The West can no longer take comfort in its F-35 fleet. The J-20 has evolved into its operational equal—if not its superior.

When we think of corruption, the first thoughts usually are of bribery or other forms of obtaining favors from politicians or officeholders. Think Senator Robert Menendez or the ‘foundations’ of former presidents or public officials. Those are the blatant forms, which are all too common with today’s politicians, some just do a better job of hiding it than others, while some seem to not be required to hide it. When we look at the Democrat Party of today, can anyone honestly say that they have not been corrupted? In years past, they stood for something; the members of the Party...

Democratic Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) told a meeting of foreign Latinos in Mexico, “I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American,” and the Department of Homeland Security wants citizens to see her confession of foreign loyalty. “Wow. I wonder how @repdeliaramirez’s constituents in Illinois feel about her loyalty being to Guatemala rather than to them,” noted the Immigration Accountability Project. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) quickly reminded Americans of President Teddy Roosevelt’s rejection of foreign loyalties: snip One of the tasks of the DHS is to remove citizenship from migrants who gain citizenship via fraud and deception.

A Fontana man says he narrowly escaped being detained by federal immigration agents last week after slipping into his apartment and shutting the door moments before an agent tried to kick it in. The man, identified only as Jose for his safety, shared surveillance video with Eyewitness News that appears to show the tense encounter on July 30. "I was leaving for work when four vans came up on me, one in front, another behind. They tried to box me in," Jose said in Spanish.

In a dramatic twist of irony, the Secret Service’s attempt to dismiss agents hired under Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives has been thwarted by an Obama-era judge, sources have confirmed. The agency, which had been planning to return to a merit-based hiring system, was stopped in its tracks by a court ruling deeming the layoffs illegal. In response, President Trump took a mischievous approach by reassigning these agents to provide personal security for former presidents Clinton, Obama, and Biden. However, the trio quickly declined the service, citing a preference for agents selected through traditional, merit-based criteria—specifically requesting male agents...

Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton. Ahmad Mulakhil faces two rape charges, while Mohammad Kabir is accused of kidnap, strangulation and aiding and abetting the rape of a girl aged under 13. Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch has alleged the two men were asylum seekers, which the BBC has been unable to verify independently, and accused Warwickshire Police and the Home Office of covering up their immigration status. Police refused to disclose further details, saying: "Once someone is charged with an offence, we follow national guidance. This...

Year: C(I).First readingNumbers 12:1-13'How have you dared to speak against my servant Moses?'Miriam, and Aaron too, spoke against Moses in connexion with the Cushite woman he had taken. (For he had married a Cushite woman.) They said, ‘Has the Lord spoken to Moses only? Has he not spoken to us too?’ The Lord heard this. Now Moses was the most humble of men, the humblest man on earth. Suddenly, the Lord said to Moses and Aaron and Miriam,...

"It was a coup, and I'm using that term literally ... One egregious felony after another." — Stephen Miller. America is tired of being driven insane, of having absurdities crammed into our collective consciousness. Reality is an agreement about what is going on in the world. That act of faith requires such an agreement be based on what is demonstrably true. Without it, society dissolves into chaos and failure. The RussiaGate psychodrama is about an agreement based on lies. It started with Hillary Clinton’s desperate ploy to save her foundering 2016 election campaign. Her emails somehow got sent to Wikileaks,...

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov warned on Tuesday that it is "illegal" to issue statements threatening to force countries to stop trading with Russia. He referred to comments made by United States President Donald Trump, who said he will impose tariffs on India because it buys "massive amounts" of Russian oil and resells it for "big profits." Peskov underlined that sovereign countries have the right to choose their trade partners.

In a bold move to uphold the rule of law and ensure democratic processes aren't hijacked by partisan theatrics, the Texas House has passed a motion to issue arrest warrants for the runaway Democrats who fled to Illinois. These lawmakers abandoned their posts in a desperate attempt to block the adoption of constitutionally redrawn U.S. House maps — maps supported by President Donald Trump and designed to reflect the will of Texas voters. Rather than engage in the legislative process, these Democrats chose to obstruct it, and now face the consequences of their dereliction of duty. On Monday, the Texas...

Russia has declared that it no longer considers itself bound by a self-imposed moratorium on the deployment of nuclear-capable intermediate range missiles, a warning that potentially sets the stage for a new arms race as tensions between Moscow and Washington rise again over Ukraine. In a statement Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry linked the decision to efforts by the U.S. and its allies to develop intermediate range weapons and preparations for their deployment in Europe and other parts of the world. It specifically cited U.S. plans to deploy Typhoon and Dark Eagle missiles in Germany starting next year. The ministry...

It was one of the most erotic things I ever heard. A man I know said he was reading all the novels of Jane Austen in one summer. At first, I figured he was pretending to like things that women like to seem simpatico, a feminist hustle. But no, this guy really wanted to read “Northanger Abbey.” Men are reading less. Women make up 80 percent of fiction sales. “Young men have regressed educationally, emotionally and culturally,” David J. Morris wrote in a Times essay titled “The Disappearance of Literary Men Should Worry Everyone.”

If a gang of white people stalked and beat a black couple on the streets of Cincinnati, we all know what would happen. Politicians would be wearing kente cloth scarves, taking knees, begging for forgiveness that white people exist, and preparing scaffolds for the perpetrators. There would be marches, speeches, yet another national reckoning on race, and endless think pieces in The Atlantic, The New York Times, and a 60,000-word essay in The New Yorker about the horrors of white supremacy in America. But in this case, the perpetrators were black thugs and the victims a middle-aged white couple, so...

"Hindsight is 20/20," said Nantucket's lawyer. Yeah, well, we told you so before you got into this mess. ... The Nantucket City Council and Nantucket residents are suffering from buyer's remorse, like everybody who decided to buy a Yugo based on the marketing that it was a great car at an amazing price. We told you so. It's as if liberals see common sense and choose to do the opposite of what it tells them. No amount of sage advice will dissuade them because some "expert" with dollar signs in their eyes can talk them into anything as long as...

At 08:15 on August 6, 1945, as a nuclear bomb was falling like a stone through the skies over Hiroshima, Lee Jung-soon was on her way to elementary school. The now-88-year-old waves her hands as if trying to push the memory away. "My father was about to leave for work, but he suddenly came running back and told us to evacuate immediately," she recalls. "They say the streets were filled with the dead – but I was so shocked all I remember is crying. I just cried and cried." Victims' bodies "melted away so only their eyes were visible", Ms...

"Getting into a boat, Jesus crossed over the sea and came to His own city. And they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, ‘Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven’” (Matthew 9:1–2). Christianity’s most distinctive message is the truth that God can forgive sin. The essence of the gospel is that Christ’s atoning death can free people from the penalty of sin. If Jesus can heal diseases and disabilities, He can surely provide cleansing for the consequences of sin. The men who brought the paralytic to the Lord undoubtedly...

Aside from anything else, I wonder if the western world is not simply too bonkers to survive. The picture above turned up in my inbox yesterday and I assumed it was just Mark Carney welcoming Keir Starmer to the G7 summit. But apparently it was the PM marching a couple of days ago in the Vancouver Pride Parade, and greeting the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia in this season's court dress. If you thought "Didn't Pride Month end a couple of weeks ago?", well, Canada doesn't observe Pride Month - that's just some mealy-mouthed, totally homophobic Yank thing: Canada has Pride...
