In the wake of the latest drone attack on Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that it is “absolutely fair” for his forces to attack targets within the Russian mainland. During a visit to the western Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivsk on Sunday, President Zelensky tacitly confirmed that Ukraine was behind the most recent drone strikes on Moscow this weekend, one of which was shot down and two of which crashed into an office building causing some damage. Although no injuries were reported, it appears that Zelensky is intent on bringing the war closer to home for those in the Russian...

The PJM fuel mix is balanced and diversified between different fuel types and we have adequate generation resources to serve the anticipated needs of our system today. However, as we look further out, maintaining an adequate level of generation resources will be essential for PJM’s ability to reliably serve electrical demand through the energy transition. Our recent analysis observed four trends that increase the risk that we may have difficulty maintaining such an adequate level of generation resources with the necessary attributes over time.1: The rate of electricity demand is likely to continue to increase from electrification and increasing deployment...

On July 18, Judge Mark T. Pittman of the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division, ruled the plaintiffs in the case of Ken Paxton v. Gary M. Restaino (Previously Dettleback, the case name changes with the name of the head of the ATF) have no standing to pursue the lawsuit, because they have not suffered concrete harm. The case is dismissed without prejudice, which means it can be refiled with new evidence. The case is the result of the passage of Texas bill HB 957. The bill required the Attorney General of Texas to file a lawsuit challenging the...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemJohn 1The Word Became Flesh 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify...

Imagine if Gavin Newsom was currently Vice President amid the final meltdown of the Biden family consortium. Does anyone doubt that Biden would then either be forced to resign by Democratic politicos (for reasons in addition to his escalating dementia), or would be impeached and perhaps abdicate Nixon-style? The presence of the now predictable mediocrity of Kamala Harris and the impossibility, given her race and gender, of removing her, for now is about all that keeps a cognitively declining Biden still in office. The Left fears what she could do as president to the Democratic Party; conservatives are terrified of...

More than four decades since law enforcement found the remains of a young woman on the side of a Texas highway, her remains have been identified, Bastrop County Sheriff's Office announced at a news conference on Thursday. The woman was found in Elgin, Texas, when law enforcement was driving by. She was wearing a white shirt with red neck trim and dark blue jeans, according to DNA Solves, which helps crowdfund identification investigations. Her name was Kathy Ann Smith. She was just 22 years old, almost 23, at the time of her murder, the sheriff's office said. Investigators at the...

A “mass shooting” at a block party in Muncie, Indiana early Sunday left one person dead and at least 19 others injured. Dispatchers received a call for multiple people shot in the area of S. Hackley St. and E. Willard St. around 1:14 a.m. Initial information was that there was a “large party” at this location. Police said in a news release that there was no active threat to the community and that “multiple” victims were injured, including some critically. “Due to the number of victims and nature of the incident, multiple agencies were contacted to assist,” the City of...

The hour is late for “Joe Biden.” His sojourn in America’s highest office was one long twilight of pretending to be effectual, or merely present, and now even that abject pantomime slips into a place of nullity, where all is still and dark. What does he do these languorous weekends at the fabled Delaware beach house? Stare out at the empty Atlantic horizon over an uneaten egg salad sandwich with the crusts cut off? Does he even suspect that the world is already turning without him? The pressure is mounting for some group of somebodies to arrange his exit from...

On July 27 (last Thursday), Representative James Comer of Kentucky appeared on Senator Ted Cruz’s podcast. Comer is the Chair of the House Oversight Committee, and the guy who has subpoenaed, and little-by-little is getting, the bank records of transfers from foreign governments to Biden family companies. Late that evening, Twitchy posted about an 8 minute clip from the podcast of Comer discussing some of the things his subpoenas had uncovered. Comer particulrly discusses one large payment from a Chinese government-connected entity, much of which went to various Bidens. Separately on the same day, July 27, Representative Jim Jordan of...

Rebecca Miller said her father was on Medicaid for about two years and she served as his caretaker at his home after he was diagnosed in 2018 with Parkinson's disease, from which he died last August. About 30 days later while still mourning David Miller's passing, the 36-year-old said she received a letter from the Ohio Attorney General's Office stating her father owed $56,000 to Medicaid Estate Recovery. The Medicaid collection program was foreign to the Clinton County woman, as it is to the vast majority of people, attorneys said. The state notice was a jolt, informing Miller that her...

Bidenomics, aka the Federal government takeover of the US economy with Soviet-style economic central planning, is highly dependent on loose Federal Reserve monetary policy (Janet Yellen and Powell’s wild overreaction to the massively inappropriate Covid shutdowns), So, how is Bidenomics working out? On the bank lending front, commercial and industrial (C&I) lending growth is crashing along with bank credit growth YoY. The US Treasury 10Y-2Y yield curve remains deeply inverted at -91.031 basis points and M2 Money growth has crashed. The 30 year mortgage rate is hovering around 7.27%. And WTI Crude oil futures are up 1% this morning. The...

KEY POINTS: * New Covid vaccines are coming to the U.S. this fall — but many Americans may not take them. * Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax are slated to deliver new single-strain coronavirus shots targeting the omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 in September. * Experts told CNBC that public health officials and providers could potentially increase uptake of the shots by communicating that they will likely become a routine part of health care moving forward.

There is "no similarity" between Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and Donald Trump’s classified document scandal, according to Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart. Capehart addressed the comparison on Friday’s "PBS Newshour" in a panel with fellow Washington Post contributor Gary Abernathy discussing Trump’s ongoing legal issues. Host Geoff Bennett brought up the former secretary of state as both she and Trump have been accused of concealing classified information, but Capehart suggested that there was no "symmetry." "[I]f we have learned anything from the four years of Donald Trump's presidency and his campaign leading up to it and the campaign to try...

In our own time, Oneism–the pagan and occult pantheist antithesis of the Word of God–remains substantially unchanged from what they was in Paul’s time:“Paul was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present. And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him. Some were saying, “What would this idle babbler wish to say?” Others, “He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities,” – because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. And they took him and brought him...
