Russian drones have attacked Ukrainian ports on the River Danube, destroying grain storage infrastructure, local officials say. The facilities are just across the river from Nato-member Romania. The Danube is a key export route for Kyiv since Russia pulled out of a deal allowing Ukraine to ship wheat, corn and other products via the Black Sea. A grain depot was also destroyed in the Black Sea port city of Odesa, which has come under almost nightly attack. Officials say more than 60,000 tonnes of grain have been destroyed in the past week.

A new book by a leading climate change scientist gives reason for hope that the light of truth is shedding a few rays into the dark, dystopian, ideologically driven pseudoscience known as global warming. With the 2023 publication of Climate Uncertainty and Risk: Rethinking Our Response, geoscientist Judith A. Curry, Ph.D., acknowledges that, in 2007, she “joined the consensus” in supporting the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report as “authoritative.” What changed her perspective was Climategate, the 2009 hacking and unauthorized release of emails from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia. The...

Clinical evidence suggests elderly individuals are at a higher risk of contracting viral infections. Quite notably, older people also have lower mean body temperatures. A team of researchers has now been able to bridge the gap by linking higher body temperature with an increased infection-fighting capability of the gut microorganisms or "microbiota." "High-heat-exposed mice raise their basal body temperature above 38°C, allowing them to produce more bile acids in a gut microbiota-dependent manner," remarks Dr. Takeshi Ichinohe. The authors speculated that signaling of deoxycholic acid (DCA) from the gut microbiota and its plasma membrane-bound receptor "Takeda G-protein-coupled receptor 5" (TGR5)...

VIDEOThe Morning Joe crew on July 24, 2023 confronted what to them is a nightmare scenario of a Third Party, namely No Labels. Surprise! They have even MORE to fear from another Third Party that they didn't even mention, namely the Green Party which was the Third Party that Jill Stein whom they are "still talking to their therapists about," ran under. If a hypothetical No Labels disturbs them so greatly then the Green Party is sure to send them back to their therapists.

The number of foreigners on the U.S. terrorist screening list who have tried illegally crossing into the United States has exploded ninefold since President Joe Biden took office, an alarming increase that experts say puts national security at risk. So far in fiscal 2023, 140 people on the terror list have been apprehended between ports of entry, already crushing last year’s record of 98. There were only three such crossings in the last year of Donald Trump’s presidency, and 16 in Biden’s first year. The rapid growth in crossings by illegal aliens with terror ties is a warning sign that...

For over 150 years, researchers have been perplexed by the purpose and meaning behind the mysterious non-figurative signs found in over 400 caves, including renowned locations like Lascaux, Chauvet, and Altamira. However, utilizing a comprehensive database of images spanning the European Upper Palaeolithic, our guests present a groundbreaking theory on how three commonly occurring signs were actually units of communication. In this captivating discussion, we speak to Dr. Tony Freeth and Ben Bacon as they explain through extensive analysis, we propose that when these signs appear in close proximity to animal depictions, they serve as numerical representations of months. In fact,...

The Republican Party appears to be following the playbook of those storied lemmings that rush to the edge of the cliff and throw themselves off in a suicidal frenzy. You’d think that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) would have warned his party that the lemming myth was a misleading invention of the Disney Company, not to be copied. Yet, as the 2024 elections approach, the GOP is doubling down on positions that will cause them great heartache on election day. The main problem for most of the party’s presidential contenders is sheer cowardice. Other than former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie,...

The Department of Justice quietly removed significant portions of its page on child sex trafficking, including information on "International Sex Trafficking of Minors," "Domestic Sex Trafficking of Minors," and "Child Victims of Prostitution." While it is unclear what prompted the revisions, conservatives pointed to the changes as a sign the Biden administration is not taking crimes surrounding child exploitation seriously.

A new statewide poll released this week shows Kentucky Democratic Governor Andy Beshear leading his Republican challenger Daniel Cameron. The poll – conducted by the Republican-leaning firm Public Opinion Strategies for the Prichard Committee, an education-focused Kentucky nonprofit – shows Beshear up 10 points on Cameron with just over three months to go until the general election. It projects Beshear capturing 52% of the vote compared to Cameron’s 42% with the incumbent having cross-party appeal. The poll also indicated Beshear’s approval rating is 63% across the board with 38% of Republican voters and 60% of Independent voters polled approving of...

A month before he died in April 1994, former President Richard Nixon wrote a letter to then-President Bill Clinton offering what Clinton later called "wise counsel, especially with regard to Russia." The contents of that letter have now been declassified by the Clinton presidential library and appear prophetic. In the seven-page letter, dated March 21, 1994, and discussed by history professor Luke Nichter in the Wall Street Journal, Nixon gave a blunt assessment of the political situation in Russia, predicting accurately that relations between Moscow and Kyiv would deteriorate and that someone like Putin could come to power. Nixon, 81...

The United States is the leading country in the world, but when countries unwind, it is often a complete surprise to the people who live there, observed Navy SEAL veteran Erik Prince in an exclusive interview with RedState.com. “I’ve been to enough countries right after that’s happened, and you know exactly how it happened—and so there is no place to go after America—and so we had to, we gotta get our act together,” Prince said. “Here’s the thing, America is like a turbine engine, which is a magnificent piece of engineered machinery, and you can throw gravel and stuff in...

My senior citizen father has donated to numerous GOP candidates and causes on email solicitation and texting. Numerous charges are being brought by an organization billed as "Win Red" they send emails that link the option to edit your account or amounts you're donating. However the links lead to dead ends, there is no way to get a password reset to try and delete donations. We have cancelled credit cards, changed debit cards and seemingly nothing is stopping automated donations monthly. Has anyone had experience with this, has to be, criminal fundraising by the GOP? Because it looks and sounds...

Climate justice is taking center stage — geopolitically, socially and morally. In a contagiously courageous conversation, Member of Parliament in the UK David Lammy and Tennessee state representative Justin J. Pearson discuss how brave leadership can shepherd global movements and uplift historically marginalized communities in the face of humanity's greatest challenge: climate change. "We must have outrage, but we must have optimism as well," says Lammy.

According to a new Bloomberg report, Apple is currently testing a ChatGPT-like large language model to rival OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard. While Apple halted the chatbot rollout due to growing security concerns regarding generative AI, the tech giant is making it available to an increasing number of employees. Initially dubbed as “Apple GPT” by some engineers, the chatbot works on Apple’s own large language model framework Ajax. While Apple is yet to devise a strategy to release its new AI technology to its users, reports suggest that the tech giant aims to make a significant announcement next year....
