Pittsburgh police are investigating a home invasion and shooting in the 7500 block of Bennett Street in the city's Homewood neighborhood. A source tells Pittsburgh's Action News 4 reporter Marcie Cipriani that a homeowner fired a gun at two intruders, one of whom was shot and the other fled. Police confirmed that someone was found dead next to a house on the street. The Allegheny County medical examiner has since identified that person as 18-year-old Sir Morgan, of Pittsburgh. An 8-year-old girl died in the custody of U.S. Border Patrol on Wednesday, according to officials, as the agency deals with overcrowding in facilities near the southern border. The girl and her family were in custody at Harlingen Station in Harlingen, Texas, when she experienced a “medical emergency” Wednesday, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said in a statement.
