"Let me openly state my bias: I have no respect for the Dalai Lama. This has nothing to do with his faith or his standing as a spiritual leader. It has to do with the fact that this man, a lifelong refugee from the People’s Republic of China, which controls Tibet by force, has self-identified as a Marxist. That’s just wrong. What’s also wrong is something that happened in India the other day: He asked a little boy to kiss him on the lips and suck his tongue. Even Biden hasn’t gone that far (yet). What the heck is wrong...

An old adage tells us: “The last person who quit or got fired gets the blame for everything that goes wrong, until the next person quits or gets fired.” Last week Team Biden placed the blame for the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan squarely on the lap of President Trump in their report. The report is a shameless rewrite of history. “From the beginning of the evacuation on August 14 to its completion on August 31, U.S. military and civilian personnel engaged in an around the clock effort to execute the largest airlift of non-combatants in U.S. history. “ The Pentagon...

Between inflation under Biden and The Fed’s counterattack to get inflation to 2%, I call this the Biden Blitz. Unlike what the elites in Washington DC think, small business are the cornerstone of the US economy. Unfortunately, small business optimism is getting crushed and just fell in March to a level lower than that found during the Covid economic shutdowns of 2020. HOW is it possible for small businesses to be even less optimistic than it was in April 2002, the nadir of the Covid economic shutdown? Small business optimism soared in November 2016 after the election of Donald Trump...

A top Florida State University professor whose research focused on race in the criminal justice system abruptly left his post in the wake of years-long allegations of academic fraud. A Fellow of the American Society of Criminology, Eric Stewart has had six research studies retracted, blemishing FSU’s top-ranked criminology department. Stewart was first accused of falsifying data in 2019 by Professor Justin Pickett of the University of Albany, who co-authored a 2011 study with Stewart. The study tested if the public’s prejudicial views impacted their desire for harsher sentences for black and hispanic Americans. The published findings were that as...

Alec Baldwin has been allowed to skip the preliminary hearing in the “Rust” shooting case, a judge has ruled. Baldwin was due to appear in court for the two-week preliminary hearing, set to kick off on May 3. The hearing will determine whether there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial following the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western flick, “Rust.” Hutchins, 42, was fatally shot on the movie set outside Sante Fe, N.M., on Oct. 21, 2021, after Baldwin’s prop gun discharged a live round and struck her in the chest....

Biological men are increasingly winning competitions against women in the female categories of cycling competitions across the world. Women have lost out to male competitors in swimming, indoor track and weight lifting, among other sports. In perhaps the most highly publicized story of a transgender athlete, Lia Thomas, born William Thomas, began breaking records on the University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team after competing for men’s team for three years, ranking 462nd. The realm of professional cycling tells a similar story, with biologically male racers swapping out mediocre careers on men’s teams for record-breaking careers on women and girls’ teams....

Using 110,000 images from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), researchers at Caltech have created an interactive map of Mars that lets anyone explore the surface of the Red Planet in unprecedented detail. “For 17 years, MRO has been revealing Mars to us as no one had seen it before,” said Rich Zurek, leader of the MRO project at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. “This mosaic is a wonderful new way to explore some of the imagery that we’ve collected.” “The goal is to lower the barriers for people who are interested in exploring Mars.” JAY DICKSON The upgrade: To create the...

On April 4, agents from the FBI and the U.S. Department of Defense barged into a sleeping Delta Air Lines pilot's hotel room, handcuffed him, placed him in the room's shower and interrogated him for 45 minutes before realizing they had the wrong man. In a statement the FBI said the agents were conducting a training exercise and were supposed to stage a mock interrogation of a Defense Department employee who would be deployed overseas. The statement said the agents went to the wrong hotel room.

Germany will shut down its three remaining nuclear plants on Saturday, betting that it can fulfil its green ambitions without atomic power despite the energy crisis caused by the Ukraine war. The cloud of white steam that has risen since 1989 over the river in Neckarwestheim, near Stuttgart, will soon be a distant memory, as will the Isar 2 complex in Bavaria and the Emsland plant in the north. At a time when many Western countries are ramping up nuclear power in their transition to greener energy sources, Europe’s biggest economy is resolutely sticking to its plans — though not...

First, it was Bud Light. Then it was Nike’s sports bras. Now it’s Olay. Dylan Mulvaney is making his rounds and mocking actual women on a daily basis. How did this guy pretending to be a woman become such a commercialized sensation overnight? Oli London, a leader in the detransitioning movement, has done the research and posted his thoughts on Twitter: Why is Dylan Mulvaney now the face of so many major corporations all of a sudden? Let me explain: * Fortune 500 Companies have the CEI Index- Corporate Equality Index- which pushes companies to go woke and push trans...

There is no peace on earth today for reasons mainly rooted in Imperial Washington — not Moscow, Beijing, Tehran, Damascus, Mosul or the rubble of what remains of Raqqa. Imperial Washington has become a global menace owing to what didn’t happen in 1991 (when the USSR collapsed). At that crucial inflection point, Bush the Elder should have declared “mission accomplished” and parachuted into the great Ramstein Air Base in Germany to begin the demobilization of America’s war machine. So doing, he could have slashed the Pentagon budget from $600 billion to $250 billion (2015 $); demobilized the military-industrial complex by...

Left-wing bureaucrats have embedded identitarian radicalism into virtually every department on campus. The University of Florida has created a radical diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) bureaucracy that promotes racial and political preferences in faculty hiring, encourages white employees to engage with a twelve-step program called Racists Anonymous, and maintains racially segregated scholarship programs that violate federal civil rights law. I have obtained a cache of internal documents via Sunshine Law records requests revealing the stunning scope, scale, and radicalism of UF’s “diversity and inclusion” programs. Officially, the university has reported to Governor Ron DeSantis that it hosts 31 DEI initiatives at...

The trans community is nothing more than a tool for the Left. Yup. It’s interesting when you stop and think about it, but Democrats have been using minorities and women and other demographics as convenient voting blocs and weapons for a long time … so why not the trans community? Tell them how much they believe in them, how they support them, and how anyone who doesn’t is a threat. Feeding the idea of genocide that ultimately results in what? Violence. We’ve seen a good bit of that violence in the past few weeks. This thread is truly eye-opening, take...

While much of the financial transactions in the U.S. and globally are digital, a CBDC would be digital only and not available in a tangible form.. Florida could become one of the first states to reject via legislation plans by the Federal Reserve to implement a central bank digital currency. House Bill 7049 and related bill Senate Bill 7054 both define the terms of central bank digital currency and money for the purpose of the U.S Uniform Commercial Code, which is a uniformly adopted state law for the transaction of interstate commerce. Both bills would prohibit the use of both...
