Rush Limbaugh famously reassured his tens of millions of regular listeners many times, “It is never time to panic. It is never time to give up on America!” What would Rush say today? I wish I could listen to Rush analyzing today’s news, including former President Trump’s indictment, the war-without-reason in Ukraine, the dollar losing its reserve status, the militant transgender movement, and a host of other issues leading many of us to begin a new transition, from concern to panic. The pillars of civilization are under attack. These include our economy, our relationship with the rest of the world,...

On Friday, the Arizona GOP unanimously passed a resolution denouncing the failed indictment of President Trump by corrupt Soros-backed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. This came days after the Maricopa County Republican Committee passed a similar resolution unanimously on April 4, the day President Trump was arrested. The resolution states: UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION BY AZGOP EXECUTIVE BOARD DENOUNCING THE INDICTMENT OF 45TH PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP WHEREAS, the Arizona Republican Party is dedicated to upholding justice and the rule of law, as well as restoring faith in our Constitutional Republic; WHEREAS, Arizona Republican Party Chairman Jeff DeWit and the Executive Board unanimously...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Nashville officials are poised to vote Monday to reinstate one of the two Black Democratic lawmakers expelled by Republican colleagues for their gun control protest on the Tennessee House floor after a deadly school shooting — essentially, sending him back after a long weekend.Nashville’s metro council has called the meeting to address the vacancy left by the expulsion on Thursday of former Rep. Justin Jones. Many councilmembers have publicly commented that they want to send Jones back to the statehouse. The vote will happen as state lawmakers hold their first floor sessions since last week’s expulsion...

If you aren’t concerned by what has been happening around the globe the past few days, it is probably because you just aren’t paying attention. Extreme violence has brought the Middle East to the brink of war, China has gotten very aggressive with Taiwan, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov just stated that the U.S. and Russia have now reached a “hot phase” of the conflict in Ukraine. What I am going to share with you in this article is so important, because we have reached a point where literally three different major wars could erupt at any moment. Just...

I read over the weekend that the Biden Administration was planning to unleash its army of social influencers on us to hype Biden’s economic accomplishments before the Presidential election. I am not one of his preferred social influencers. In fact, the US economy is slippin’ into darkness under Biden. An example is ISM Manufacturing PMI which has declined to a level typically seen in prior recessions. And then we have US bank credit growth which just crashed to the slowest growth rate since 2014. The Fed is returning to rate low-riding as the US economy slips into recession,

Trump wins a coronation. The alternative scenario for a 2024 without Ron was nicely articulated in late March by the Bulwark’s Jonathan V. Last: The next thing that happens is Trump pops higher in both national and early-state polls. That’s because Trump is the second choice of about half of the voters who support DeSantis. Which means that you’d expect Trump to almost immediately add >10 points to his poll numbers, putting him close to the 60 percent mark nationally … The Republican establishment, which has been pushing DeSantis relentlessly for two years, would freak the eff out. Last figures...

It could be time to resurface use of the ‘R’ word in your financial lexicon. No, not ‘R’ as in PE ratio. But ‘R’ as in recession, as in a contraction in economic growth. I know what you are probably wondering. How is this guy going to pontificate about a recession following a month that created 236,000 headline jobs? How is this guy going to warn the investing masses about a recession when shares of Nvidia are up 85% year to date, followed not too closely behind by an 80% surge in Meta? All of that is precisely why I...

Bud Light's vice president of marketing discussed in a recent interview how she was inspired to update the "fratty" and "out of touch" humor of the beer company with inclusivity. Alissa Heinerscheid did an interview with the podcast "Make Yourself At Home" on March 30, where she discussed her work in transforming the Bud Light brand. "I’m a businesswoman, I had a really clear job to do when I took over Bud Light, and it was ‘This brand is in decline, it’s been in a decline for a really long time, and if we do not attract young drinkers to...

According to pro-Trump commentators, a twisted judicial system, a weaponized Department of Justice, and a media witch hunt have all targeted their hero obsessively. These forces have focused on our 45th president in a way they would not likely do to anyone else. If another chief executive or presidential candidate were in the picture, they say, the persecution would not be conducted with the same ruthlessness or intensity. I respectfully disagree. A similarly vicious attack could and would be unleashed against any Republican politician whom those in power decided to take down. Victor Davis Hanson is correct that what the...

About once a week, I visit a local Walmart to monitor ammunition prices. This time, there was a significant change. Walmart rolled back the price of some bulk-packed .22 LR ammunition. The product was Federal Automatch, 40 grain, in a 325 bulk pack. The price was $18.97 or 5.8 cents per cartridge. The price had been $21.16, or 6.5 cents per cartridge. This is roughly a 10% reduction in the price. Most days, this correspondent will look at ammunition prices online. They are not quite as good an indicator because shipping costs must be included. Everyone online now charges state...

The Sinn Féin leader has expressed disappointment that US President Joe Biden will not be addressing Stormont. Mary Lou McDonald said that 25 years on from the Good Friday Agreement, “the eyes of the world are on Ireland and the North of Ireland in particular, and we have a limbo situation.” Speaking after the 1916 commemoration service in Dublin today, Ms. McDonald said that US President Joe Biden should be received by “First Minister Michelle O’Neill and should be addressing the [Stormont] assembly.” […] … (Sinn Féin Vice-President Michelle) O’Neill said that the 25th Anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement...

TOKYO, April 10 (Reuters) - A coalition of climate groups are stepping up pressure on Japan's top three banks to cut financing linked to fossil fuels, filing shareholder resolutions to be voted on at the companies' annual general meetings in June, sources said on Monday. The groups are targeting megabanks Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Mizuho Financial Group, all key to financing oil and gas projects, said the sources, who declined to be identified as the information is not yet public. The coordinated effort marks a step up from the past three years, when climate groups targeted...

he U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) took more than a year to open an investigation into allegedly intentional racial segregation in Atlanta Public Schools and purported retaliation against parents who complained. The feds may soon face a similar complaint: keeping predominantly black and white elementary schools apart in a summer program intended to mitigate learning loss due to COVID-19 policies. The nonprofit Committee for APS Progress asked district officials why majority-black Hope-Hill Elementary School in Atlanta would not be housed on the same site as "the rest of the cluster schools" in Midtown — majority-white Mary...

Homes constructed in flood plains, storm surge zones, regions with declining water availability, and the wildfire-prone West are overvalued by hundreds of billions of dollars, recent studies suggest, creating a housing bubble that puts the U.S. financial system at risk. The problem will get worse as sea level rises and storms dump heavier rains and if unwise building practices continue. But increased awareness of climate risks, more realistic flood insurance pricing, and reform of government disaster policy could reduce this overvaluation — and the risk of an economically disastrous bubble burst. Property overvaluation is particularly widespread among low-income households, which...

We fixate only on the irrelevant that we think we can address while ignoring the existential we know we no longer can solve. The last few weeks, the world had been writing off the United States as either crazy or irrelevant as it watches America cannibalize itself. Friends tremble at our sudden decline. Enemies rejoice. Neutrals make the necessary adjustments to join the ascendant non-American side. The symptoms of our decline abroad appear everywhere. The more Joe Biden brags about the crippling oil sanctions on Russia, friends like India and allies like Japan ignore them. And why not, when Biden...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemMark 15 The Death of Jesus33 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. 34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[b]35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said, “Listen, he’s calling Elijah.”36 Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,”...

Real senile people like Biden, whose place is not at the head of a huge power but on the grass, surrounded by their relatives with their mouths open with dementia, Ordinary Americans have no idea at all what "Ukraine" is or where it is located. Most of them can't even show this "country" on a map. Why should they suffer such inconvenience for the sake of some obscure part of Russia

Friday, FNC host Tucker Carlson reacted to an attack on former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, who spoke out against transgender females competing in female collegiate athletics at San Francisco State University a night earlier. Carlson proclaimed that the left, specifically the Biden administration, promoted the transgenderism movement with what he described as “religious extremists.” Transcript as follows: CARLSON: This is the saddest and at the same time, by far the most hopeful day on the Christian calendar. There was a time not so long ago when the overwhelming majority of Americans observed Good Friday. They got up, they...

One of the core subjects of this site for several years has been doing reality checks on the schemes of Net Zero central planners. Is there any chance that these zero carbon economy schemes might work? Or are they just dreams that ignore obvious physical obstacles in a religious zeal to reach an imagined future utopia? My prior writings on this subject are summarized in my December 2022 Report “The Energy Storage Conundrum,” and in my recent posts (here and here) on the work of Bill Ponton regarding the UK. On April 5 Tesla dropped into the debate a big...
