This is an excellent response to the question. One of the best and most concise I have ever heard (and fast...because Shapiro is a very fast speaker).

President Biden "has carefully and cautiously waged war in Ukraine with no American troops." He just "had one of the best first term off-year elections in history." Nancy Pelosi? Ron Klain? Jill Biden? No. That was Newt Gingrich — leader of the Republican revolution of 1994, which swept him in as speaker of the House. "Quit Underestimating President Biden," Gingrich wrote in a column this week. "[C]onservatives' hostility to the Biden administration ... tends to blind us to just how effective Biden has been on his terms." Why it matters: Gingrich has a point. If you look at Biden's legislative...

"...Twitter “just freelanced” its baseless decision to censor The Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden laptop scoop in the run up to the 2020 election — with top-level workers at the social media giant agreeing that controversial decision was “f–ked,” damning insider communications released by CEO Elon Musk Friday reveal. The chaos and confusion behind closed doors at Twitter in the immediate aftermath of the October 2020 Hunter Biden expose show that a small group of top-level execs decided to label the Post’s story as “hacked material” without any evidence — behind the back of then-CEO and founder Jack Dorsey......"

We’ve seen some bombshell revelations in the Elon Musk Twitter drop about the suppression files including those surrounding the Hunter Biden laptop story. There are freakouts underway on the left and we see a fascinating take by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) who expressed concerns about the First Amendment. Twitter should have paid attention to that because it looks like they went far over the edge with what they did. As the records showed, the Biden team was reaching out and getting people suspended from Twitter. Among the revelations was an incredible record that indicated the DNC had asked Twitter to...

The experience of seeing mask-less players and fans at the World Cup soccer matches in Qatar on TV this week sparked millions of Chinese to take to the streets to protest their continued home-confinement under their country's severely restrictive covid lockdown policies. Videos of protesters being clubbed in the streets has sparked outrage around the world. In the US, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif), likely to be the next House Speaker, tweeted: 'The Chinese Communist Party's lockdowns have imprisoned people against their will—many have died. As Chinese citizens bravely protest, Joe Biden and the corporate class shrug. Our Select Committee on...

The holiday season is always a gift for fans of Christmas movies, as cable channels like Lifetime and Hallmark and streamers such as Netflix and Hulu wrap up dozens of shiny new cinematic baubles for viewers. But some of December's other festivities — including a world-famous Festival of Lights — end up getting the short shrift. The paucity of Hanukkah-themed holiday movies has been much remarked upon in recent years, with both Jews and non-Jews (including Stephen Colbert) agreeing that we need at least eight nights' worth of quality Hanukkah fare. If anyone can make that happen, it's screen legend...

Earlier this year, the Universal-backed Bros hoped to go where no major studio comedy had gone before by becoming the first LGBTQ rom-com starring two out gay actors — Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane — to top the box office charts. Despite critical acclaim and sold-out screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, though, the movie had to settle for fourth place during its opening weekend and a cumulative gross just shy of $15 million. Eichner — who also wrote the movie — didn't shy away from expressing his disappointment in interviews and on social media. In a since-deleted Twitter...

In his round X-ray specs and solar-system button-up, Garrett T. Capps looks like he’s just emerged from the farthest reaches of outer space. The San Antonio musician sounds like it, too. Since forming his band NASA Country in 2017, Capps has been working to introduce an unconventional new sound into country music, one that mixes the electronic, experimental hum of Kraftwerk with the cosmic hippie twang of Doug Sahm. Capps calls it “Kraut-country.” Perhaps shockingly, it works. Capps’ new album, People Are Beautiful, is an urgent, inventive reimagining of Texas music. He sings with a traditional country inflection about topics...

Wildlife officials in Oregon came to the rescue that "got a head start on decking the halls" when its antlers became entangled in Christmas lights. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said in a Facebook post that rescuers responded to a call from the Dallas Police Department about a buck with its antlers covered in Christmas lights. "ODFW staff were able to locate and dart the buck to remove the lights. No injuries were found and the buck got up quickly and went on its way. A yellow ear tag was placed in each ear for identification purposes," the...

Pepsi tapped into a TikTok trend with a new campaign featuring actor Lindsay Lohan promoting “pilk,” or “dirty milk” an uncommon combination of soda and milk that’s been baffling consumers on TikTok in recent months — though its roots go back decades. Pepsi launched the Christmas-themed campaign on Thursday with the hashtag #PilkandCookies. The ad features Lohan, who is working on a Hollywood comeback with her Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas, in which the former child actor is making her first lead performance in nearly 10 years following legal trouble around multiple DUIs. In a statement Thursday morning, Pepsi Chief...

The Myanmar junta handed out at least seven more death sentences this week, taking the tally of those on death row to 139, according to the United Nations. A junta spokesperson did not respond to calls from outside Myanmar seeking confirmation of the latest death sentences. The UN accused it of using capital punishment as a "tool to crush opposition". Myanmar has been in chaos since Aung San Suu Kyi's civilian government was toppled in a military coup in February 2021, ending the country's brief period of democracy. At least seven male university students were sentenced to death by a...

The United States on Friday (Dec 2) unveiled the B-21 Raider, a high-tech stealth bomber that can carry nuclear and conventional weapons and is designed to be able to fly without a crew on board. The slickly choreographed ceremony at B-21 manufacturer Northrop Grumman's facility in Palmdale, California, opened with the US national anthem as older bombers roared over a crowd that included top US officials. Dramatic music played and lights flashed as the doors of a hangar holding the new aircraft slowly opened, and the crowd applauded as the cloth covering it was pulled away to reveal a sleek...

California is seeing a sustained rise in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations, with numbers climbing at the same alarming rate that the state experienced ahead of previous COVID-19 surges. Nearly a year to the day after the first case of the omicron variant in the United States was identified in a San Francisco resident, the daily number of newly reported cases in the state has climbed to 5,466, up 157% from a month earlier. More worryingly, new hospital admissions of patients with confirmed COVID are at 3,793, up 133% over the same period, according to health department data published Thursday. With...

The cheesesteak is a sandwich beloved by many. It's a quintessentially American meal that comes from one of the most historic U.S. cities: Philadelphia. Now, nearly a century after Philly restaurant owner Pat Oliveri (owner of Pat's King of Steaks) created it, the cheesesteak is an essential part of American food culture

The censorship-loving government has a direct line to the tech giant. New Zealand’s government has officially admitted that it has partner access to Facebook’s controversial content takedown portal. This portal is designed specifically for government agencies to flag content to Facebook for censorship. According to The Intercept, which reported on the portal in October, government partners can also use the portal to “report disinformation directly” to Facebook. And in a recent response to a New Zealand Official Information Act (OIA) request, which asked whether the government has partner access to Facebook’s takedown portal, the New Zealand government confirmed that the...

Conservative actor James Woods is suing the DNC over this. The New York Post article on Hunter Biden’s laptop was true. The laptop was abandoned by Hunter, who ignored multiple requests from the repair shop to pick it up. After a certain number of days and ignored requests to pick up the laptop, it became the legal property of the repair shop. The laptop was never hacked, but Twitter falsely said it was hacked, in order to justify its ban on people linking to the story. The owner of the repair shop sued Twitter for defamation. Before the election, every mainstream news...
