With news of the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago, buzz quickly bubbled up Monday evening about whether former President Donald Trump could be disqualified from holding office again. The FBI search of the Florida resort was related to Trump's handling of presidential records, including classified documents, after leaving office, sources told CNN. The search warrant was connected to the National Archives, a senior government official told NBC News. Such reporting had Marc Elias, the top lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign who has drawn scrutiny for his role in pushing Trump-Russia collusion claims, pointing to U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071....

Republicans who aren’t actively opposing Garland’s political weaponization of federal law enforcement are part of the problem. ... A fter Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice oversaw an FBI raid on the private home of former President Donald Trump, the 20 Republicans who joined Democrats to confirm Garland’s nomination as attorney general must emphatically condemn the nominee they once supported or voters should replace them in their primaries. When Garland was confirmed in March 2021, only 30 of 50 Republican senators voted against it. The other 20 — Senators Blunt, Burr, Capito, Cassidy, Collins, Cornyn, Ernst, Graham, Grassley, Inhofe, Johnson, Lankford,...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden continues to test negative for COVID-19, the White House press office said on Tuesday, after he coughed repeatedly through a speech on the South Lawn. Biden spoke to dozens of Congress members in sweltering midday heat before signing the a $53 billion bill aimed at boosting the U.S. semiconductor industry. His persistent congestion forced him to stop the speech at several points to turn aside and cough into his hand or sip water, drawing the attention of supporters and detractors alike on social media. The 79-year-old president recently suffered his second bout of...

Northrop Grumman is moving production of the engines and structures for its Antares rockets to the U.S. from Russia and Ukraine, a move that will have cascading effects throughout the space industry. It is hardly a surprise that the FBI has now raided the Mar-a-Lago in Florida in a move being decried by Ron Desantis as akin to the actions of a banana republic. Indeed, given the nonstop witch hunt which we have beheld since 2015, I am honestly surprised it took the Biden administration this long to find a corrupt DC judge willing to rubberstamp a warrant as part of an all too obvious fishing expedition. Liberals are cheering this move, sadomasochistically hoping to see Trump in a cell. While they are unlikely to get their wish, it is funny to...

Secrecy is exactly what is wrong about this. Secrecy allowed wild media speculation in Trump-Russia matter. As target, Trump is entitled to copy of warrant, underlying affidavit. He should make them public immediately. Today.

Donald Trump regularly mishandled classified documents while President, his former press secretary has alleged after the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago mansion in an apparent hunt for records he is accused of illegally taking when he left office. Stephanie Grisham, a confidant of both Donald and Melania Trump before turning on them over the January 6 storming of the Capitol, said she saw him rip up documents and put some into his pocket during her time at the White House. 'The President of the United States did not handle classified documents properly,' she told CNN Monday night, hours after the FBI...

This is how democracy ends. Or maybe, just maybe, how civil war starts. After the surgically-embalmed octogenarian Nancy Pelosi jetted into Taiwan to proclaim America's enduring commitment to freedom, back home FBI goons were staging a politically-motivated, prime-time raid on the home of her sworn enemy Donald Trump. As events unfolded on live television, it was like watching one of those old conspiracy-theory movies, starring Robert Redford or Gene Hackman.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Tuesday that 'no one is above the law' and noted the FBI raid on Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home would have had some legal justification. Pelosi, who repeatedly sparred with Trump when she was speaker and he was president, said she had no special knowledge of the Monday raid. 'All I know about that is what is in the public domain. I was surprised that it flashed on my phone last evening,' the speaker said on MSNBC's Morning Joe.

As the monkeypox virus continues to spread throughout the United States, health officials are asking people at high risk of contracting the virus to stay vigilant and get tested. The virus is known to cause a rash of bumps and blisters that can be painful, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says, but not everyone will see this visual signifier as their first symptom. What are the signs and symptoms of the virus? According to the CDC, monkeypox is like a milder case of smallpox. “The main difference between symptoms of smallpox and monkeypox is that monkeypox causes lymph...

[O]ur elected leaders must exercise their power to reimpose constitutional supremacy over this out-of-control agency. … Whether it’s mass unconstitutional spying, interfering in American elections, lying to courts, or entrapping and sometimes framing innocent Americans, the debate over whether we should have an FBI is drawing to a close. Almost every month another informed author calls for the abolition of the FBI. *** Still, there are incremental steps that could be taken ...End the FBI’s Counterintelligence Work There’s a reason why the FBI loves to paint its opponents and political rivals as, “agents of Putin,” or stooges for Russia. A 65-year-old man died in a freak accident during the Highland Games in the Netherlands on Sunday, Dutch police have confirmed. The man, who was not a spectator at the games, was touring Geldrop Castle in the province of Noord-Brabant, near where the Highland Games were taking place. 45th President Donald Trump released a statement on Monday saying that the FBI has raided his Florida home. Trump, who spoke at CPAC on Saturday in Dallas, and in Kenosha, Wisc. on Friday, said that his home is “currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.” It was later reported that the FBI took 15 boxes of material from the former president’s residence. Fox reported that more than 30 FBI agents raided the home, and were “not being judicious” about what they took from the home. Trump was New York at the time of the...

A left-wing pollster found that voters disapprove of common left-wing policies and talking points on everything from big government to abortion, Time reported Monday. The poll from the Democratic-aligned Winning Jobs Narrative Project, which surveyed 60,000 voters across 17 states, found that "making villains of corporations" and embracing "culture war topics like abortion" are ineffective strategies for Democrats. Liberals would attract more voters, in fact, if they sounded like conservatives—talking about "respect for work" and placing "government in a supporting rather than primary role." Voters prefer Republicans' handling of the economy, which remains "the top issue of the coming election,"...

Astaxanthin (ASX) is a marine-based pigment in plants that has many different potential functions. ASX is an antioxidant more potent than many other antioxidants. Antioxidants have anti-inflammatory and oxidative stress-reducing properties to potentially reduce the incidence of cancer or inhibit the expansion of tumor cells. We found that application of ASX significantly reduced proliferation rates and inhibited breast cancer cell migration compared to control normal breast epithelial cells. The accessory marine-based plant pigment astaxanthin (ASX) has many different potential functions. ASX is a ketocarotenoid: carotenoids modulate cancer, reproduction, atherosclerosis, immunity, and age-related macular degeneration. Since ASX has anti-inflammatory and oxidative...
