Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Luke 11:1–13 Friends, our Gospel for today gives us an opportunity to reflect on the great prayer that Jesus taught us. Think how this prayer links us to all of the great figures in Christian history, from Peter and Paul to Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Francis of Assisi, John Henry Newman, G.K. Chesterton, John Paul II, and right up to the present day. A desire to pray is planted deep within us. It just means the desire to speak to God and to listen to him. Keep in mind that prayer is not designed to change...

Netflix comedian Bill Burr poked fun at “pro-choice” advocates in his new show, “Live at Red Rock,” saying it’s “weird” to support “choice” when that choice is to “kill a baby.” Breitbart reports Burr got a lot right about abortion in his new comedy routine, pointing out how the whole purpose is to kill a baby before he/she is born. He began by explaining how he identifies with the “pro-choice” side because he likes to be independent, according to the report. “I don’t like people telling me what to do, and I was just like, ‘It’s your body, who the...

Joe Biden, as his former daughter-in-law recounts in her new memoir, comes on strong. That’s no surprise to anyone who has read the allegations of sexual inappropriateness against President Biden, or has seen the multiple videos and photos of creepy Uncle Joe with women and young girls: sniffing their hair, massaging their shoulders, pressing his forehead against theirs, grabbing them by the arm or kissing them on the lips, pulling them in close for a full-contact hug. Betsy DeVos, in her new memoir, is the latest to claim unwanted forehead-to-forehead contact. She was in a wheelchair at the time, recovering...

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - On the top floor of a modest two-story brick building near the shore of Lake Superior, the executive director of northern Minnesota's only abortion clinic flits from room to room, checking in patients, fielding phone calls from people seeking appointments and handling billing questions from those struggling to pay. In the waiting room at WE Health Clinic in Duluth, patients from Wisconsin and Texas sit among Minnesotans - the leading edge of an expected uptick in out-of-state patients following the Supreme Court´s removal of the federal right to abortion. "It´s just been really busy," Laurie Casey,...

J6 Committee Vice Chair Liz Cheney has been criticized by critics for participating in a one-sided series of hearings devoid of alternative or dissenting views. Some have called it a “show trial” with members reading off teleprompters in tightly scripted and controlled hearings. As if to fulfill that show trial portrayal, Cheney ended the hearing this week by calling for more officials to come forward and noting that Trump family members and former officials have now come forward with their own public “confessions.” As with past hearings, the summation included a direct call by Cheney for voters to oppose Donald...

Australian couples may be aborting pregnancies after finding out they are having a girl, alarming data has revealed. The world average is between 102 and 106 males for every 100 females born, meaning the national average of 105.2 in 2020 - the most recent data set available - is normal. But for Indian and Chinese communities in Australia, the numbers are as high as 108.2 and 109.5 respectively, something experts say could indicate gender-selective abortions. For first generation migrants from those communities who already have several children, the figures are as high as 125 boys for every 100 girls. Advocates...

Washington — Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, a member of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, said Sunday the panel is still examining possible links between former President Donald Trump and far-right extremist groups, including the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, members of which have been charged for their roles in the attack. "That remains an ongoing part of our investigation," Schiff said in an interview on "Face the Nation." "We have certainly shown some links between the president, the key advisors like Roger Stone and Mike Flynn, and elements of these white nationalist...

Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday claimed Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' law is keeping teachers of young students from the ability to 'love openly.' Harris had been asked about why young people, who have been largely disenchanted with the Biden administration, should keep turning out at the ballot box. She warned that it was a matter of the fundamental right to vote. 'We all know your right to vote and the action of voting unlocks all the other rights, including same-sex marriage,' the vice president said during an interview with journalist Brian Tyler Cohen. 'Including whether we are going to...

A 73-year-old woman was stabbed by a 100-pound sailfish while fishing with some friends off the Florida coast. The fish impaled Katherine Perkins, of Arnold, Maryland, in the groin area with its pointed bill on Tuesday while she was standing in the boat as two companions tried to bring it in on a fishing line. Her friends immediately applied pressure to her wound and called 911 as they headed towards shore, where she was then flown to nearby HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital for treatment. While her current condition remains unknown, Perkins was said to be in the hospital recovering on...

These women just marched right into the land of make believe. The Women’s March Twitter page literally just tweeted that “abortion is safer than giving birth.” And no, they weren’t being sarcastic: This is the furthest thing from true that I’ve read in a while. During an abortion at least one person dies. That is NOT safe whatsoever. Abortion results in 100 percent infant mortality and many women are also harmed during an abortion as well. According to the CDC, 5.4 infants die per 1,000 live births. While 5.4 is still 5.4 too many, based on the stats, it is...

Judicial Watch revealed recently that the Biden Administration was still sending billions of US taxpayer dollars to Afghanistan. The Biden regime is also preventing an audit of their actions. It’s been almost a year now since Joe Biden and the US Military surrendered to the Taliban terrorists. Joe Biden, General Milley and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin are still in power. As part of the surrender, Joe Biden armed the Taliban with nearly $80 billion in US weapons and left thousands of Americans stranded in the country to fend for themselves. The White House and Pentagon have never admitted to how...

Heavy fighting has been taking place in the last 48 hours as Ukrainian forces continued their offensive against Russia in Kherson province, west of the Dnipro River, British military intelligence said on Saturday. Russian forces are using artillery fire along the Ingulets River, a tributary of the Dnipro, the UK's Ministry of Defence said. "Supply lines of the Russian forces west of the river are increasingly at risk," the ministry said in an intelligence update. It added that additional Ukrainian strikes have caused further damage to the key Antonivsky Bridge, though Russia has conducted temporary repairs.

CNN senior legal analyst Laura Coates guest hosted Friday’s edition of Don Lemon Tonight where she and her guests hyped California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s “trolling” of the Supreme Court and Texas on the issue of gun control. Coates portrayed the law as similar to Texas’s “bounty” law before reporting the ACLU opposes the California law and asking fellow legal analyst Areva Martin, “I'm wondering from your perspective, first, is that right to you? And will these so-called bounty laws, will this really undermine, maybe fatally, the power of the judiciary to intervene and weigh in?” Martin did not answer the...

YouTube has updated its policies to restrict certain kinds of supposed misinformation about abortion, as pro-abortion pressure on tech companies continues. YouTube will now remove content around the world that supposedly “‘promotes or provides instructions’ for unsafe or alternative abortion methods not supported by science or approved by medical professionals,” Axios reported Thursday. It is unclear whether information about pro-life alternatives such as pregnancy centers, which some leftists have dubbed “anti-abortion fake clinics,” will fall under this new rule. Axios said that YouTube will also start removing supposedly “false claims” about abortion, including evidence linking abortion to infertility or cancer....

On Saturday morning, during the heatwave that swept the East Coast, a new electrically powered public transportation bus caught on fire as it sat in the bus parking lot, according to fire officials. The Hamden Fire Department was dispatched to the CT Transit bus depot in order to extinguish the fire that had spread throughout the electric bus. According to the authorities, the lithium-ion battery was responsible for the fire that broke out on the electric bus. “Lithium-ion battery fires are difficult to extinguish due to the thermal chemical process that produces great heat and continually reignites,” the fire officials...

As reported earlier by We Love Trump a Chinese company recently paid $2.6 million for 300 acres of farmland in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The parcel of land’s location near a US Air Force base that houses sensitive drone technology has lawmakers on Capitol Hill worried about potential espionage by Beijing. The Chinese firm Fufeng Group recently purchased 300 acres of farmland in North Dakota just down the road from a US Air Force base that houses sensitive drone technology near Grand Forks. The farmland is just a 20-minute drive to the Grand Forks Air Force Base. The Fufeng Group...

For the second weekend in a row, Politico’s Sam Stein guest hosted MSNBC’s Velshi. On this Saturday, Stein accused pro-lifers in Kansas of “essentially trick their citizens into voting away their own rights” on an upcoming ballot measure on August 2. Stein went to commercial teasing the future segment with all the hyperbole that one expects from MSNBC, “It’s been just one month since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and the legal chaos continues to cause fallout with life or death consequences for people who need reproductive healthcare across the country. Coming up we’ll take you to one...
