Two Boy Scout troops from Wisconsin played a major role in the rescue when an Amtrak train derailed in Missouri after hitting a dump truck at an uncontrolled crossing. The Boy Scouts from Appleton were on the train when it derailed. They jumped into action, breaking windows, helping people off the train and attempting to save the life of the dump truck driver, who died. Two mothers with whom WBAY spoke Monday night say the Scouts are shaken but proud of being able to help after the devastating crash. There were 16 youth, who are 13 to 17 years old,...

Most teachers focus on academic considerations when assigning seats. A new study by Florida Atlantic University psychology researchers is the first to show that these classroom seat assignments also have important implications for children's friendships. Results of the study, published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology, revealed that friendships reflect classroom seat assignments. Students sitting next to or nearby one another were more likely to be friends with one another than students seated elsewhere in the classroom. Moreover, longitudinal analyses showed that classroom seating proximity was associated with the formation of new friendships. After seat assignments changed, students were more...

Is he really kidding though? President Biden joked Tuesday that he may not return from Spain as his average approval rating hit an all-time low amid the worst inflation since 1981 and record-high gas prices. Biden made the remark to Spanish King Philip VI in an apparent bid to compliment the beauty of the royal palace in Madrid. “There’s an old expression in a little town in Delaware called Claymont, Del, a little steel town. And they say, ‘We’re like poor relatives. We show up when we’re invited and we stay longer than we should.’ So be careful. We may...

Just got back from a nice lunch with an acquaintance at Il Fornaio in Sacramento. Had the pasta with vodka sauce which is a favorite. The Jeffery Epstein & Ghislane Maxwell issue came up and where he works in the US Attorney's Office I was interested in his opinions. Unofficial opinions, of course, as he is not on that case. His observation was that so much focus on the Epstein Island was a distraction from the bigger crimes to be found at Epstein's NYC mansion and Epstein's New Mexico ranch. The NYC mansion has multiple ties to important Wall Street...

SESAME STREET - Reports have confirmed that beloved Sesame Street resident Elmo died unexpectedly this morning just a few hours after receiving the COVID vaccine. "Elmo not feeling so good," Elmo reportedly said just moments before collapsing. Officials concluded the cause of death to be "unknown" although medical examiners claim he died of massive heart failure due to Myocarditis - a disease almost never observed in 3-year-olds like Elmo. "It's important to remember that our friend Elmo's death had nothing to do with the COVID vaccine, which is safe and effective," said Big Bird to reporters. "There is growing evidence...

Former Sen Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.), who appeared in a new campaign ad for Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) released Tuesday, said that Cheney is “not after Trump or hating Trump.” The former Wyoming senator, who made those remarks to NBC News in an interview, argued “she is stating what is obvious to many Americans: That this is a wrecking ball of democracy.” Simpson – well-known within Wyoming after serving in the upper chamber for 18 years, including as the assistant Republican leader – also criticized former President Trump and told the network he would not be voting again for the former...

Mexico’s president slammed the Biden administration’s border policies after at least 50 migrants were found dead in texas in an alleged human trafficking incident. On Tuesday, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said the US-Mexico border is “out of control.” He further lamented 22 of the deceased were Mexican nationals while seven were reportedly from Guatemala and two from Honduras. Lopez Obrador claimed the surge of migrants going into the US is a result of poor economic policies affecting Central and South America as well as the entrepreneurship of human smugglers.

Ghislaine Maxwell has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, in spite of her many years of faithful service to our nation's leaders. "For decades, Maxwell served the needs of American presidents, British royalty, and US intelligence," said a spokesman for her defense team. "That they would repay her this way is cruel and ungrateful. How could they do this to her?" Sources confirmed that Maxwell will be transported to a high-security federal prison in New York and that the names of the hundreds of powerful men she served would be withheld from public record. "We ask that everyone respect...
