I recently wrote an article where I mentioned that police in the UK allowed Pakistani Muslim men to rape white and Sikh girls and women for roughly 15 years rather than arrest them, lest the police be seen as “racist.” PJ Media’s own Robert Spencer, our in-house specialist on all things Islam, wrote that there were an estimated one million victims. Many were raped over 100 times. One young victim was gang-raped for several years and was forced by the rapists to have six abortions. Cops all over the UK remained silent and allowed the Muslim reprobates to rape with...

Biomedical research—a broad term covering studies on subjects ranging from cells to experimental animal models—is the starting point for understanding how diseases develop and how we might prevent or treat them. Once such studies have been performed successfully, similar tests can be carried out in humans. These clinical trials form the highest branch of biomedical research. Biomedical studies have traditionally used male animals and men as research subjects, and the knowledge we have obtained from this research has been applied to both sexes on the assumption that what works for males must also work for females. Until recently, these studies...

Osteoarthritis is a wear-and-tear disorder marked by bone thickening and cartilage degeneration, an excruciatingly painful disability and a major cause of impaired mobility as people age. But scientists have begun viewing this form of arthritis differently with a deeper understanding of the disorder's causes and an eye toward personalized medicine as a treatment option. Although for decades medical experts have focused on problems such as the pain caused by bone thickening and the disappearance of cartilage, scientists say bone malalignment may play a critical role in osteoarthritis. In a novel clinical study, medical scientists demonstrate how the alignment problem can...

Angry protesters hit the streets of Iran on Friday after a two-year pause driven by the coronavirus pandemic. They demanded the immediate destruction of Israel, the U.S. and the UK along with anyone who even dares to speak favorably of the Jewish state. Paramilitary Revolutionary Guard commander Gen. Hossein Salami personally promised “painful” responses against anyone who stood in the Islamic republic’s way. “Stop your vicious deeds. You know well that we are people of action and reaction,” Salami told marchers in Tehran as he railed against Israel and its supporters. Demonstrators chanted the “death to Israel,” and “death to...

At least nine people were wounded in citywide shootings Thursday. One person was shot and critically wounded and two others were in custody after shots were fired during a robbery Thursday afternoon in Chicago Lawn on the South Side. Three males approached a man, 60, about 3:50 p.m. in the 2800 block of West 66th Street and began taking property when shots were fired. A person was killed and 11 others were wounded in shootings across Chicago Wednesday.

Not only has The Federal Reserve driven M2 Money Velocity to near historic lows, but now we find out that the Employment Cost Index just rose to a historic high. Of course, a variety of minimum wage laws have helped drive up employments costs. Don’t tell lawmakers that minimum wage laws lead to higher inflation since they typically deny responsibility for anything. But I can almost picture the 4 Horsemen of the Inflation Apocalypse (Powell, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer) sitting around asking “What we can do to make inflation worse?” We did see the PCE Deflator YoY rise to 6.6%, the...

Russia invaded Ukraine about two months ago, resulting in millions of Ukrainians fleeing to escape the war. Neighboring countries have responded admirably, opening their borders and offering refuge. The European Union went further, creating a new temporary immigration status that grants displaced Ukrainians work permits, free health care, and other benefits. While the fighting continues, those who managed to get out are essentially safe and able to provide for themselves and their families. And, by remaining nearby they can more easily return home, as 1 million Ukrainians have reportedly already done. That is what true humanitarian immigration relief looks like....

National Heritage Areas (NHAs) The National Heritage Area (NHA) concept started with the administration of President Ronald Reagan, who had a desire to maintain private property rights while avoiding the eminent domain process previously used to establish national parks. In 1984, President Reagan signed into law the first National Heritage Area, the Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. At the time, President Reagan promoted the concept as a cost-effective way of telling America’s stories and conserving the nation’s cultural, natural, and historic resources, without the eminent domain issues raised by the National Parks. In his dedication speech Reagan referred...

Two Weeks to Flatten the GDP What is it with these pundits and government spokespeople? Two years ago, they were wildly exaggerating virus threats, canceling and censoring people who pointed out contrary evidence. It was all about scaring people into compliance with a far-flung epidemiological experiment. Now the tendency has swung the other way. No matter how bad the economic news is, the tendency is to downplay it, promise a turnaround soon, and otherwise claim that anyone who is worried is just being paranoid. We need only point to the claims from last fall that the inflation is merely “transitional.”...

“Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.” This famous quote by Henry Kissinger is ringing more and more true by the week. The globalists already control the majority of the money, are moving ever so swiftly to convert the energy system over into systems they are all invested in, and have been taking drastic measures to control the food industry while running much of it under the radar. If they control the seeds they control the food, and if they control the food they...

Below is my column in USA Today on how the Musk purchase of Twitter has forced politicians and pundits to move from corporate censorship to calls for good old-fashioned state censorship. Indeed, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) has declared Musk’s pledge to restore free speech values on social media as threatening Democracy itself. She has promised that “there are going to be rules” to block such changes. She is not alone. Former President Obama has declared “regulation has to be part of the answer” to disinformation. For her part, Hillary Clinton is looking to Europe to fill the vacuum and...

Source: Townhall Media/Julio RosasAs a Rio Grande Valley native, I know the daily hardship that people living along the border face every single day due to the consequences of the Biden border crisis. While it might be easy for Americans who live far from the border to become desensitized to the news clips and stories of the increasing number of illegal migrants crossing our open southern border, it’s a completely different story to live it. Since Joe Biden took office, border towns have dealt with the cost of overwhelming numbers of illegal immigrants coming into our communities. This has created...

Why does the world seem so mad right now? There are two reasons. The first is the injection of implausible claims into our society. The second is the speed and volume at which they come: mainly thanks to social media. The reason why everybody is so excited about Twitter at the moment, and Elon Musk buying it, is that Twitter has helped fry the brains of our society. It doesn’t matter what subject you look at, Twitter will have deranged people more than they needed to be deranged by telling them things that are untrue at the highest possible pitch...

When some two dozen New Yorkers filed into a Manhattan courthouse this week to finish out their grand jury service, the case against a man who would have been the world’s most prominent criminal defendant was no longer before them. That man, Donald J. Trump, was facing potential criminal charges from the grand jury this year over his business practices. But in the weeks since the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, stopped presenting evidence to the jurors about Mr. Trump, new signs have emerged that the former president will not be indicted in Manhattan in the foreseeable future —...
