In his letter he wrote, “I cannot believe we’re at the point where I [got to] say this out loud: Travis Scott is a performer, an act, not a concert promoter. He doesn’t run the sound or venues or festivals or their staff. He doesn’t build stages or coordinate logistics, he’s not an expert in crowd control or security or emergency medical services. But he does trust Live Nation and all the other concert promoters who are supposed to do all of this. And yet here we are, 10 deaths and counting. 10 broken families. The world is mourning,” his...

On this date in 1928, the man whose disguise christened one of the most bizarre crimes in Texas’s colorful history was lynched behind a theater … producing “The Noose”. The Santa Claus Bank Robbery was, in the words of one columnist present for the affair, the most spectacular crime in the history of the Southwest … surpassing any in which Billy the Kid or the James boys had ever figured. The story begins on December 23, 1927, in the town of Cisco, where a genial man dressed as Saint Nick strolled down the main drag dandling playful children en route...

The persecution of Kyle Rittenhouse continues. Even after a jury of his peers found the 18-year-old “not guilty” on all five counts in his high profile case, Democrat leaders are calling on the Department of Justice to intervene in the Rittenhouse case on “civil rights” grounds. House Judiciary Committee Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler called on the DOJ to review the Kyle Rittenhouse case for possible federal charges. This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ. Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage...

This probably is applicable to 95 percent of Biden voters; at least the ones who were alive when they voted… * I didn’t know that Kyle put out a dumpster fire that was being rolled down to a gas station to blow up, with people all around. * I didn’t know that the Police were told to stand down as businesses were destroyed.* I didn’t know that Kyles Dad, Grandma and Friends all lived in Kenosha, 20 minutes from where he resided with his Mom part time in Illinois. * I didn’t know that Joseph Rosenbaum knocked him down twice...

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) called the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse “heartbreaking” and said that it sets a “dangerous precedent.” He’s now calling on the Department of Justice to review the verdict. “This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ,” Nadler tweeted. “Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest.” Rittenhouse did not cross state lines with an AR-15, but was, in fact, provided with the weapon earlier in the day. Looting and rioting are also...

“Don’t worry,” he typed in what would be a final email to his wife in April. “Everything will be fine.” Last month, the ship, by then floating off the United Arab Emirates, sent what had become a familiar plea. Captain Sandu was dead and his body was in the ship’s walk-in freezer. For six months, it had traveled thousands of miles lying near the crew’s meat and vegetables. They needed to get him back to Romania. ...There currently are four seafarers’ bodies stuck aboard cargo ships, the International Maritime Organization says—as well as 36 urgent cases involving medical or humanitarian...

Explanation: In visible light the stars have been removed from this narrow-band image of NGC 281, a star forming region some 10,000 light-years away toward the constellation Cassiopeia. Stars were digitally added back to the resulting starless image though. But instead of using visible light image data, the stars were added with X-ray data (in purple) from the Chandra X-ray Observatory and infrared data (in red) from the Spitzer Space Telescope. The merged multiwavelength view reveals a multitude of stars in the region's embedded star cluster IC 1590. The young stars are normally hidden in visible light images by the...

Kyle Rittenhouse, who was 17 years old when he shot three people, killing two, officially got away with murder. A jury of his white peers ruled that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense when he illegally acquired a gun, traveled across state lines, lied about his status as a medic, pointed his gun at protesters, and then used it to kill others. The verdict is not surprising, if you are familiar with how the criminal justice system works for white people. Wisconsin Judge Bruce Schroeder, who presided over the Rittenhouse trial, consistently made rulings in the best interest of the white gunman.

Today, the Dakota building in New York City is famous for being the last home where John Lennon lived and for being the site of his horrible murder, but this building has a long and detailed history of paranormal activity. Other celebrities and notable figures who have lived in that building have also had very similar experienced. Maury Povich...

MLB’s Cleveland franchise officially changed its name to the Guardians Friday, and the new day in the organization’s history started with a bang. The Guardians opened their team store for fans to get their hands on new merchandise. As fans were shopping, the sign installed outside the team store came crashing down onto the sidewalk. The sign fell when a worker was on a ladder checking bolts. "Well, that's an ominous sign," one person yelled. No one was injured. Regardless, fans were lining up early to get some new swag with the Guardians logo. "This kind of exceeds expectations. Having...

... “There was nothing in the script about the gun being discharged by DEFENDANT BALDWIN or by any other person,” the lawsuit from script supervisor Mamie Mitchell says. ... Mitchell’s lawsuit focuses mainly on Baldwin’s actions. It said she was standing next to Hutchins and within 4 feet of the actor, and was stunned when he fired the gun inside the tiny church on Bonanza Creek Ranch on Oct. 21. According to discussions before the scene was filmed, it called for three tight shots of Baldwin: One on his eyes, one on a blood stain on his shoulder, and one...

“We can’t just flip a switch and make [the border crisis] better . . . We inherited an immigration system that is deeply broken.” — Vice President Kamala Harris, Nov. 18We say: President Donald Trump had the border situation largely under control, but President Biden did “flip a switch,” reversing Trump’s policies vital to keeping order at the border and signaling that migrants would be let in, practically no questions asked. Result: an unprecedented border-surge disaster. Fiscal year 2021 (which ended Sept. 30) saw agents detain nearly 1.7 million migrants, more than four times 2020’s number and the second-highest ever....
