A single injection of a newly developed drug has been shown to reverse paralysis in mice with severe spinal cord injuries. By mimicking the extra-cellular matrix around the spine, the liquified drug promotes the regeneration of severed nerves and the repair of other vital tissues, allowing the rodents to regain the ability to walk within four weeks. Describing this breakthrough in a new study in the journal Science, researchers explain how they injected synthetic nanofibers into the damaged tissue of mice 24 hours after making a cut in their spinal cords. Consisting of an array of peptides, these nanofibers quickly...

National Happy Hour Day / Nov 12On what day is National Happy Hour Day celebrated? November 12What is National Happy Hour Day? This day celebrates the fact that it’s five o’clock somewhere! Happy hour is a term primarily used by restaurants and bars in which any visiting customers, between a certain time slot, can purchase discounted drinks and food. The term itself comes from the first World War, in which the United States Navy would host Happy Hour Social Events for the troops as a way to socialize. But instead of drinking, there was entertainment, such as live music,...

After keeping Virginia schools closed for over a year and repeatedly moving the goal posts on reopening, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten successfully delivered the state to Republican Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin last week. Despite appearing at a final campaign rally for Democrat Terry McAuliffe, parents showed up to vote against her endorsement and anti-parent education policies. Now, Weingarten is finally admitting it's time for a pandemic off ramp. "It was clear that vaccines for teachers helped us reopen schools. Maybe it’s vaccines for kids helping us get to an off ramp for masks and getting to a new...

Cloth fragments found at Çatalhöyük were made from the bast fibers of oak trees, according to research published in the journal Antiquity. The authors of the new paper analyzed some of the oldest known woven fabrics in the world, in a finding that speaks to an unappreciated material used during the Stone Age. The paper subsequently settles a longstanding debate about whether linen or wool was used to make the Çatalhöyük fabrics, as the research found them to be made from neither material. Lise Bender Jørgensen from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology is the first author of the...

Joe Biden triggered a crisis at the southern border by canceling President Trump's security efforts there, the construction of a wall, the requirement that asylum-seekers wait in Mexico until their court hearings were held, and more. The result was a well-heard message to the world that America's border was open and those reaching it could count on the benefits the nation provides. The result was a flood of hundreds of thousands arriving in a constant stream. Now, the president is presuming to address that problem by dismissing thousands of Customs and Border Patrol agents. The Free Beacon revealed nearly one...

“That’s it. Don’t want to hear another word about stagflation,” the “Mad Money” host said. “There’s nothing stagnant about this economy. In fact, retailers may be experiencing their strongest quarter in history. I know I use a lot of superlatives, but that’s not hyperbole.” “When these retail stocks lead, many others follow. It’s just one more sign that, despite the endless handwringing about inflation and stagflation from the so-called experts, or possibly supply-chain induced shortages, shoppers remain undaunted and eager to buy.”

VIDEOGavin Newsom went missing for eleven days since October 27. However, he recently emerged to explain that he was gone from public view in order to spend Halloween time with this family. Hey, this is a perfectly rational explanation. However, since it is only four days from October 27 until Halloween, what was he doing for the other seven days? Well, am sure he has another highly plausible explanation for that as well.

Sex, Lies, and the FBI If the business of the FBI is to protect the U.S. Constitution, it’s been operating at a loss for some time now.History’s dark sense of humor has now linked the fate of American Muslims, environmental activists, and MAGA protestors who allege the FBI is abusing them to gin up prosecutions. At the heart of the Supreme Court case Federal Bureau of Investigation v. Fazaga is the FBI’s effort to maintain a shroud of secrecy over questionable investigative techniques it uses to develop criminal cases. The FBI laughably claims national security would be put in jeopardy...

I wrote back in early September that Democrats are forever in denial about who the real terrorists in the world are. It’s been that way for as long as I remember. It’s more ridiculous now than it’s ever been. Team Biden and his flying monkeys in the mainstream media have pretty much branded every white Republican in America as a terrorist.I may be a little cranky but I’ve never blown anything up.While the Department of Justice has been demonizing soccer moms and dads real terror threats have been operating freely in America. One — Black Lives Matter — has been...
