Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), the chairman of the Senate GOP campaign arm, said on Sunday that he will help Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-Alaska) reelection efforts, even though former President Trump has already endorsed a challenger against her. “You had said you're going to support all incumbents. And I'm just curious, does that include Lisa Murkowski, where the former president has endorsed a primary challenger? And when you say you support, does that mean you will financially support Lisa Murkowski and actually help run a campaign against a primary opponent?” “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd asked Scott on NBC. “Absolutely....

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and other conservatives have blasted Sesame Street favorite Big Bird for claiming to have gotten a COVID vaccine in what they say is propaganda to encourage kids to get the shot. The fictional bird, who, according to Sesame Street lore, is eternally 6-years-old, tweeted his vaccination status on Saturday, writing: 'I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it'll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy.' He added that CNN journalist Erica Hill 'even said I've been getting vaccines since I was a little...

Explanation: To some it looks like a cat's eye. To others, perhaps like a giant cosmic conch shell. It is actually one of brightest and most highly detailed planetary nebula known, composed of gas expelled in the brief yet glorious phase near the end of life of a Sun-like star. This nebula's dying central star may have produced the outer circular concentric shells by shrugging off outer layers in a series of regular convulsions. The formation of the beautiful, complex-yet-symmetric inner structures, however, is not well understood. The featured image is a composite of a digitally sharpened Hubble Space Telescope...

A Navy captain who as head of a jury in a war-crimes court wrote a damning letter calling the C.I.A.’s torture of a terrorist “a stain on the moral fiber of America” said his views are typical of senior members of the U.S. military. Capt. Scott B. Curtis, the jury foreman, said it is just that he had the opportunity to express his thoughts in a letter proposing clemency for the prisoner Majid Khan, a Qaeda recruit who pleaded guilty to terrorism and murder charges for delivering $50,000 from his native Pakistan to finance a deadly bombing in Indonesia. But...

Two Rutgers University faculty groups have come out in support of “Professor Crunk,” aka Brittney Cooper, who said in a recent interview that “white people are committed to being villains” and as such “we gotta take these mf's out.” On Friday, the Rutgers branch of the American Association of University Professors said in a statement that after the interview Cooper had been subjected to a “renewed wave of racist attacks for her public scholarship.” “We wish to express our unequivocal solidarity with Dr. Cooper,” the statement reads. “[We] affirm our support of her academic freedom, and […] decry the harassment...

Former President Trump on Sunday doubled down on his criticism of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and other Senate Republicans who voted in favor of passing a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill. “All Republicans who voted for Democrat longevity should be ashamed of themselves, in particular Mitch McConnell, for granting a two month stay which allowed the Democrats time to work things out at our Country’s, and the Republican Party’s, expense!” Trump said in a statement. The former president called Republican lawmakers who voted in favor of the bill “RINOs” — a widely used term he favors that means...

In this week's episode, Sam and Dave discuss the positive impacts of law-abiding citizens owning firearms. It’s no secret that mainstream press coverage of gun ownership in the United States tends to be in favor of gun control. Journalists focus on how many people are killed by guns, how many children get their hands on improperly stored firearms, and how many deranged individuals go on shooting sprees. This anti-gun news bias is widespread among urban elites who have very little personal experience with guns and yet have no problem opining about the subject for influential newspapers like The New York...

A production worker on Alec Baldwin’s tragedy-marred flick “Rust” was bitten by a poisonous spider while helping to close down the set after its fatal accidental shooting — and may now lose his arm. Lamp operator and pipe rigger Jason Miller was bitten by a venomous brown recluse while helping wrap up film production after Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on Oct. 21, Sky News said. A JustGiving fundraising page said Miller has experienced necrosis of his arm and sepsis as a result of the bite. “He has been hospitalized and endured multiple surgeries each day as doctors...

To gun-control campaigners the head of America’s most powerful firearms lobby group is a monster with the blood of thousands on his hands. To prosecutors from the New York attorney-general’s office he is a criminal who diverted millions of dollars from his non-profit organisation for his personal gain including lavish spending on Italian suits, private jets and fine dining. But to those who know him personally, a new book says, Wayne LaPierre, head of the National Rifle Association (NRA), is a self-pitying, socially awkward, easily manipulated pawn with “the backbone of a chocolate éclair”. While defending the weapons that bring...

Americans should expect to pay higher costs to heat their homes this winter, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said Sunday, a result of high gas prices caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This is going to happen. It will be -- it will be more expensive this year than last year," Granholm told CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union." "We are in a slightly beneficial position, well certainly relative to Europe, because their choke hold of natural gas is very significant. ... But we have the same problem in fuels that the supply chains have, which is that the oil...

In July 2021, The Exposé exclusively revealed how data had been manipulated by scientists carrying out a real world study for the CDC to show that Covid-19 vaccines were safe for use during pregnancy. The authors claimed that the number of people to suffer a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) during the study was 104 out of 827 completed pregnancies, equating the risk of miscarriage at 12.6%; 7 – 12% lower than the risk of miscarriage in the general population. SourceHowever, our analysis proved that these numbers were extremely misleading due to the fact that of the 827 completed pregnancies, 700 / 86%...

China will not just have more people — it also may have better technology should a war with the United States break out, according to the general who leads the Marine Corps . The bleak assessment from Marine Corps Commandant David Berger came Thursday amid increasing Chinese belligerence. But Berger did offer some hope that the U.S. might yet have some military advantage against the world's most populous nation. “It may not be true, but I assume that, in the future, we will not enjoy a technological advantage or a numerical advantage,” Berger said. “So if we don't have those...

A recent study published by CDC contains concerning findings for the millions of Americans who are considered "immunocompromised," or who have a reduced ability to fight infection or other diseases. The study finds a majority (53%) of patients who were hospitalized with Covid-19-like illnesses were fully vaccinated with two-dose RNA shots. According to the study authors, several of whom receive support from vaccine makers, among 20,101 immunocompromised adults hospitalized with Covid-19, 10,564 were fully-vaccinated with Pfizer's or Moderna's shots. The actual number fully-vaccinated, immune-compromised adults in the hospital may be even higher: the study scientists excluded patients who'd gotten the...

Texas Attorney General candidate George P. Bush (R) warned on Sunday that a Democrat would be elected to the role if incumbent Ken Paxton (R) won the Republican nomination again. “This time around he will not win, because he’s facing corruption and bribery charges. Imagine having a Democrat AG with a Democrat president and what that means for Texas politics,” Bush, the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), said during “Lone Star Politics,” a Sunday political show, according to The Dallas Morning News

HHS has been messaging on radio and TV here in Texas (and possibly around the country) with a specific ad stating that "hospital admissions for children have tripled during the Summer". Tripled? What was the base of the tripling .... 1 or 3 or 300? Tripling 1 or 3 or even 300 would be insignificant considering that there are at least approximately 30 million children in the US. This is a perfect example of using statistics to lie. The base was intentionally omitted to produce an exagerated fear of a deluge of hospital admissions for children. Additionally, they omitted the...

Leaders at one of the largest investment firms in the world, State Street Global Advisors, will need to ask permission to hire White men as it rolls out a diversity hiring initiative. "This is now front and central for State Street — it’s on every senior executive’s scorecard," said Jess McNicholas, the bank’s head of inclusion, diversity and corporate citizenship in London, according to the Sunday Times. "All of our leaders have to demonstrate at their annual appraisals what they have done to improve female representation and the number of colleagues from ethnic-minority backgrounds."
