Election-day voters choose Youngkin, 59-41. Overall, Youngkin is leading 51-49. Caveat: CNN is NOT publishing the overall winner. Instead, they are breaking up the vote into five regions, and publishing the percent of each region each candidate gets. I am multiplying each candidate's portion of each region, and adding up the five regions. However, CNN rounds the results, so I'm calculating results by doing math on final results which have already been divided into five and THEN rounded. That means rounding can actually amount to an inaccuracy of several percentage points. Please add info to comments as you get it

Facebook has changed it’s name to “Meta”. I don’t blame them for wanting to change their name, Facebook is a tarnished brand, since they have lent themselves as Government censors, taken sides and influenced the last couple of elections, and internationally, they removed the Bible App to appease the Chinese, Communistic oppressor government. So Jeff Zuckerberg revealed last week that the name would be here on known as “Meta”. What does it mean? Zuckerberg tells us that the word “Meta” is from the greek language and it means “Beyond”. There is a concept which has been discussed and to which...

I received a message today that they want to have an interactive discussion about my request... The focus of the discussion is to learn more about your religious beliefs and restrictions, and discuss potential accommodations.I am a little nervous as to what they might ask, how I might respond, etc. I don't want to lose my chance at an exemption by fumbling my responses. Any guidance and resources would be appreciated. Below...

Doses are about one-third of the amount given to adolescents, adults Vaccine advisors for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) voted Tuesday that children ages 5-11 should get COVID-19 vaccines. The vote comes after a special federal advisory committee met to debate the issue. A final say on the matter is expected from CDC Director Dro. Rochelle Walensky. Last week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized emergency use for kid doses, which are about one-third of the dose given to adolescents and adults. The vaccine is already approved for emergency use in children 12-15 years...

Joe Biden was dealt a major blow by federal workers who just won in court. Biden’s coronavirus vaccine mandate put the jobs and livelihoods of many Americans at risk. In a new ruling, judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly issued a temporary restraining order against the mandate. This decision protects military and civilian employees from being fired while their requests for religious exemptions to Biden’s vaccine mandate are being heard. “None of the civilian employee plaintiffs will be subject to discipline while his or her request for a religious exception is pending,” Kollar-Kotelly ordered. This ruling came in the U.S. District Court in...

How effective is immunity after Covid recovery relative to vaccination? An Israeli study by Gazit et al. found that the vaccinated have a 27 times higher risk of symptomatic infection than the Covid recovered. At the same time, the vaccinated were nine times more likely to be hospitalized for Covid. In contrast, a CDC study by Bozio et al. claims that the Covid recovered are five times more likely to be hospitalized for Covid than the vaccinated. Both studies cannot be right. I have worked on vaccine epidemiology since I joined the Harvard faculty almost two decades ago as a...

The Federal Election Commission has ruled foreign donors can finance U.S. referendum campaigns, opening the door to foreign spending on fights over high-profile policy issues, Axios has learned. Why it matters: Foreign nationals are barred from donating to U.S. political candidates or committees. But the FEC's decision — allowing them to support ballot committees — provides another avenue for foreigners to directly influence U.S. voters and domestic policy. ***** The decision only concerns federal law; states remain free to outlaw foreign funding for state-registered ballot committees. Seven states already do so. In Maine, where a Canadian-owned power company is financing...

The rollouts and usage of vaccine passports are proving problem-laden in many places around the world, wither on technical or ethical merit, or both (or lack thereof), and the newest member of this “club” is an app called Docket, that is the endorsed Covid vaccine app in US states of Utah and New Jersey. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also approved the app. But just last week, reports revealed that Docket was yet another app that had a security vulnerability. TechCrunch said it was responsible for identifying the bug and submitting a report, while the CEO of...

Earlier this year, when COVID-19 vaccines started rolling out, Facebook introduced new policies to censor “misinformation.” Now, the company has extended the policies to include kids, after the FDA authorized the emergency use of the Pfizer jab for kids between the ages of 5 and 11. The company will also not allow claims that the vaccines can cause severe harm or kill children. Facebook will also not allow claims that the vaccines are ineffective on kids and any claim that anything other than the approved vaccines can protect kids from the virus. Facebook claimed that its vaccine misinformation policies are...

Pfizer on Tuesday raised the full-year sales forecast for its Covid-19 vaccine by 7.5% to $36 billion, as it signs deals with countries for booster doses and receives clearances for using its shots in children. The company said it is also on track to deliver 2.3 billion doses of the vaccine, out of the roughly 3 billion it plans to make this year. Driven by an unprecedented vaccination drive against the Covid-19 pandemic globally, Pfizer’s shot has quickly become one of the best-selling products in the company’s roughly 172-year history. The company equally splits expenses and profit from the vaccine...

Explanation: We've seen this same supernova three times -- when will we see it a fourth? When a distant star explodes in a supernova, we're lucky if we see it even once. In the case of AT 2016jka ("SN Requiem"), because the exploding star happened to be lined up behind the center of a galaxy cluster (MACS J0138 in this case), a comparison of Hubble Space Telescope images demonstrate that we saw it three times. These three supernova images are highlighted in circles near the bottom of the left frame taken in 2016. On the right frame, taken in 2019,...

In a column called the Ron Paul Weekly Column, published by the Ron Paul Institute, the former House Representative from Texas warned about the “unique patient identifier.” According to Dr. Paul, the policy will “destroy what remains of our medical privacy.” In both the Senate and the House, there are bills that, on passing, will remove a provision prohibiting the creation of a “unique patient identifier.” The law preventing the creation of the unique patient identifier, sponsored by Dr. Paul, was passed in 1998. Proponents of the system argue that it would make it easy to track and verify the...

Alec Baldwin took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a message on Instagram from one of the "Rust" movie crew members. He captioned the post: "Read this." The post came from Terese Davis, who appears to have been a part of the costume department. "I'm so sick of this narrative," Davis began. "I worked on this movie. The story being spun of us being overworked and surrounded by unsafe, chaotic conditions is bulls--t." Davis then discussed the amount of time the crew worked and how they were not "too tired to do their jobs." "This is all provable by daily...

In 1992, an estimated half a million people gathered on the National Mall for a rally for abortion rights. The speakers made many of the same arguments that abortion-rights advocates have made for decades, arguing that government shouldn’t limit people’s ability to make decisions about their own bodies. But in nearly four hours of speeches, no one stepped up to the mic and said, “I have had an abortion.” In fact, some of the arguments would likely come across as timid to today’s abortion-rights activists. “Nobody likes abortion. Let’s get that straight,” said Ron Silver, the now-deceased actor and founder...

“So they’re also making fun of the mainstream media on this and their inaccuracy and spin that they’re putting on things. ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ is sort of a double message; they don’t like Biden, but they also don’t like the media,” he said. The other thing the press misses in the split between liberals and conservatives is the humor, Sracic said. “People aren’t doing this necessarily in a mean-spirited way. It’s funny to them. It’s funny that a reporter misstated what people were saying about Joe Biden.” The movement also exposes the differences felt by conservatives and liberals over the...

Break Free By Kevin Homer, MDNovember 2, 2021The real division is not between conservatives and revolutionaries but between authoritarians and libertarians–George Orwell, 1948The President is losing patience. Six quarters into the emergency, the FDA has authorized COVID-19 vaccines down to five years of age. The CDC maintains these vaccines are safe and effective. Vaccinations are mandated by powerful employers, high ranking generals, and top government officials. Most of the medical community are on board. Failure to comply costs income and freedom. It’s intimidating. Many have submitted to the pressure. These policies have concentrated authority and power in a few “experts”...
