The Virginia Republican Party said Tuesday that some voters are incorrectly being told at some polling locations in the state that a mask must be worn – as residents cast ballots on a slate of contests including the state's high-profile governor's race. "There have been several reports from voters who say they were told by poll workers that they are required to wear a mask in order to vote," read a tweet from the Virginia GOP account. "To be clear, if someone is not wearing a face covering they may NOT be turned away or refused their right to vote."...

I recently left Ohio and spent a week in Europe, and what I immediately noticed was that apartment dwellers, at least where I was, in Belgium and The Netherlands, didn’t brew their own coffee. I found this to be amazing, given that in Ohio, I have been grinding beans and using a Chemex to brew the most delicious coffee known to man. If Portland has every grind and bean imaginable, then I would guess that the Europeans would have us topped; but Europe was Nescafe land. An Italian-French woman living in Belgium joked that she could not believe anyone would...

Aside from one lone America flag flapping in the wind, if you look at the crowd, it comprises a lot of young and “urban-hip” looking, black folks. They look like the type of college-educated young city-dwellers you’d see at Starbucks talking about social issues and civil liberties over an oat milk latte. Again, not MAGA-looking at all… don’t believe me? You’ll see for yourself, soon. If I had to guess, I’d say the crowd has a very “BLM” vibe to it, and that’s not surprising to anyone, since BLM has come out in staunch opposition to the vaccine mandates, calling...

Islamic State militants stormed Afghanistan’s main military hospital, now housing injured Taliban fighters and veterans of the former Afghan military, and killed at least 23 people in the latest eruption of violence since the country’s U.S.-backed government collapsed in mid-August. Though there was no immediate claim of responsibility, the Taliban’s chief spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, said that five Islamic State militants participated in Tuesday’s complex attack and were all killed. The extremist group has intensified the tempo of strikes against Taliban targets and the country’s Shiite minority in recent weeks. It stormed the same hospital, in Kabul’s Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood,...

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg had a spirited conversation with guest host NBC Sports broadcaster Michele Tafoya Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” about how race is taught in America. During that conversation, Goldberg declared it was time for “white people to step up” to acknowledge racism.

ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” that it was OK for White children to be uncomfortable while learning about racism in America because “black kids around this country are stigmatized and are made to feel uncomfortable every single day.” Hostin said, “We had the Secretary of Education Cardona come on the show, and I asked him specifically is Critical Race Theory being taught K-12 in our public schools? He said, emphatically, no, it isn’t.”

Delegate Chris Hurst (D-12) was pulled over in traffic Monday night and notified that his license was suspended. He was pulled over after a Radford deputy saw a woman turning over and messing with campaign signs at the Radford Rec. Center, an election polling precinct. The deputy then saw the woman get in a car. When the deputy did a traffic stop and requested assistance from a Radford police officer, the driver of the car was identified as Hurst. The woman’s name has not been released. The officer took a statement from the deputy and confirmed damage to several political...

ORLANDO, Fla. - The father of a special needs child with Down syndrome is speaking out, still fuming that his 7-year-old daughter came home from Ocean Breeze Elementary School with a mask tied around her head. "I was so angry so I waited four days from Thursday 7th to Tuesday after Columbus Day because I really need to calm down," said Jeff Steel. "When this child got off the bus and had the mask it was tied around the back of her head underneath her ponytail and it was quite tight around her face." He said it was so tight,...

One particular time, I was stirred by the Holy Spirit, and he led me to this passage: “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 1:20-21, NKJV). As I read, I heard the Spirit whisper, “Kevin, you’ve never come into the fullness and joy of my love.” The Bible is filled with the truth of God’s love, but at times I allow myself to wonder how the Lord could ever love me....

“Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom” (James 3:13). Divine wisdom produces a changed life. The one who possesses godly wisdom will show it in his life. That’s why James says, “Let him show by his good behavior his deeds” (3:13, emphasis added). The phrase “let him show” is a command to demonstrate one’s wisdom and understanding. That is the thrust of James 2:14-26, summarized in verse 26: “Faith without works is dead.” A person’s claim to have faith will be validated by his works. Similarly,...

For Netflix, Squid Game, which cost just US$21.4 million (S$29 million) to produce, has given it a subscriber boom, pushed up its share price and is set to create an outsized windfall of almost US$900 million. Media watchers said the global hit marked the latest, if not the biggest pop culture export so far from South Korea, whose TV shows, films and pop music have been making waves beyond the country for at least two decades. Notable K-drama hits over the years include Winter Sonata in the early 2000s...Idol groups like Girls’ Generation began breaking out of Asia by the...

On Sunday, Elon Musk left UN bosses in shock when he openly revealed a vast pedophilia network run by UN officials. Elon Musk questioned the UN over its child sex ring during a heated Twitter dispute over whether enormous sums of money can address world hunger. Musk then asked Beasley “What happened here?” along with a link to an Express article headlined ‘Starving children ‘as young as NINE forced to give UN officials oral sex to get food’. The article details a report exposing how UN peacekeepers “orally and anally raped” children in the Central African Republic and how top...

Liberty is awesome. Both wonderful and scary in its power. But it is where people develop to be at their best. Do my fellow Freepers have anything good to say for George Bernard Shaw? And to what extent is Bob Dylan a champion of freedom? I think he liberated the American voice. (Following in the footsteps, vocally, of Hank Williams and, imaginatively, of Walt Whitman.)

If one terrible thing happens with a gun, gun control activists reflexively call for bans or other new regulations. There is rarely a consideration of costs and benefits. Actor Alec Baldwin has demonstrated this thinking again after the accidental fatal shooting on the set of his movie in New Mexico. "[H]ow many bullets were fired in movies and TV shows over the last 75 years?" he said on Saturday. "… Billions? In the last 75 years? And nearly all of them without incident. ... Some new measures have to take place. ... No live ammunition. No real weapons in the...

A Spokane, Washington, father is accused of killing his daughter's boyfriend, believing he sold her into sex trafficking in Seattle last year. Police say they found a car abandoned in the 1800 block of East Everett Avenue on Oct. 22 and a "foul odor" was emanating from the vehicle. Officers opened the trunk and found human remains inside. While investigating the case, detectives learned that 60-year-old John Eisenman Sr. found out his juvenile daughter had been allegedly sold to a sex-trafficking organization in the Seattle area in October 2020 for $1,000. Eisenman said his daughter’s 19-year-old boyfriend may have been...

The Federal Election Commission has ruled foreign donors can finance U.S. referendum campaigns, opening the door to foreign spending on fights over high-profile policy issues, Axios has learned. Why it matters: Foreign nationals are barred from donating to U.S. political candidates or committees. But the FEC's decision — allowing them to support ballot committees — provides another avenue for foreigners to directly influence U.S. voters and domestic policy. A major question stemming from the decision is whether foreign nationals are now permitted to spend money to influence the actual mechanisms of the U.S. democratic process. That would include congressional redistricting,...

Townhall independently verified that a handful of Virginians who cast ballots in-person this morning were told masks were required to vote as well. As claims of similar incidents continued to surface, the Republican Party of Virginia tweeted that "if someone is not wearing a face covering they may NOT be turned away or refused their right to vote."
