Egg first. As legislators play a game of chicken with “infrastructure” bills, there is a huge misconception about how the economy actually works. Last week Moody’s economist Mark Zandi said more government spending on infrastructure and social programs like Medicaid “will lift productivity.” Does he even know what productivity is? He thinks you can give people money and they’ll spend it, prime the pump and boost the economy. That is backward. An economy has to produce first, then consume. Reagan-era supply-side economics has been badmouthed for so long, and given monikers like voodoo and trickle-down, it has more or less...

Here’s a punch in the gut for a nation that’s already hurting. As it turns out, the so-called “gold standard” testing referenced by so many “doctors” like Anthony Fauci, as well as government officials across the board, has had its Emergency Use Authorization revoked. The CDC announced, albeit quietly, on Wednesday that the RT-PCR tests used to tell millions of Americans they’re infected with Covid-19 has been unable to accurately differentiate between the various coronaviruses. Of particular note is the inability of these tests to know whether someone is infected with Covid-19 or influenza. Are you freaking kidding me? https://t.co/exEqkFxl4w...

A West Virginia judge ruled that a school must allow a biological boy to try out for a girls’ cross-country team despite the state’s recent law limiting schools to allowing only students born as females into girls’ sports. On Wednesday, Bill Clinton-appointed Judge Joseph Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia issued a take-down of the state’s Save Women’s Sports Bill and ordered the state to allow 11-year-old transgender student Becky Pepper-Jackson to try out for a girl’s middle school cross-country team. Goodwin claimed that the law is not valid while it faces a...

nvestigating garage-door pulls and Lego sets seems to be the height of its investigatory skill. The Washington Examiner reported last week that the FBI used a tip line while vetting Brett Kavanaugh. That sounds like another dirty trick that the Democrats were probably behind -- but in fact, it’s the Democrats that are upset about it and are demanding answers. It seems they’re concerned that the FBI may not have thoroughly investigated all tips received and they want to know why. The implication seems to be that President Trump may have impeded investigation of the tips -- and if so,...

According to a reliable source, leaders of the PA Senate GOP majority are extremely upset with State Senator Douglas Mastriano and his formal requests to three counties for information and election materials required to conduct a forensic audit of last November’s general election results.

Recent contrasting events issue a dire warning. We are in a battle between the woke culture that seeks to divide Americans and those who celebrate our nation as a beacon of light to the world. As Americans celebrated July Fourth, certain politicians and celebrities that subscribe to “wokeism” displayed hostility towards our nation and our flag. In contrast, Cuban protestors recently displayed the American flag in a show of honor as they marched against the tyranny of their communist government. If the woke movement fails to heed this important message, the future of our American republic may be on the...

At least seven people were killed and 10 others injured in a 22-vehicle pileup during a sand or dust storm on Interstate 15 near the town of Kanosh, Utah on Sunday, CBS Salt Lake City affiliate KUTV reports. There were several children among the dead, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Rhoden told the station. The "series of crashes" happened just before 5 p.m. Multiple ground and air ambulances were dispatched to transport crash victims for medical treatment. Five of the seven people killed in the crash were in one vehicle. Two others who lost their lives were in another vehicle,...

Anyone organizing or planning to attend a second Covid-19 lockdown protest in Sydney has been warned, "you will be arrested" Police Commissioner Mick Fuller revealed authorities had received upwards of 10,000 tip-offs since Saturday when thousands of people marched through Sydney's CBD to demonstrate against the state's lockdown conditions. More than 57 people have been charged for attending the protests and many more fines and charges are expected to be laid as officers trawl through hours of footage to identify more protesters. NSW police said there are still murmurs about a second protest planned for this Saturday despite social media...

It’s probably just a coincidence that his past includes working for an organization with CIA ties. It’s already old news that an obnoxious leftist verbally assaulted Tucker Carlson, who was in a fly fishing shop in Montana. Leftists celebrated one of their own throwing mindless insults in Tucker’s direction. Conservatives appreciated how Tucker kept his calm and his sense of humor. Now, though, some interesting information is emerging about the leftist yahoo, a guy named Dan Bailey, thanks to his having outed himself on his Instagram account. It turns out that Dan Bailey worked for an organization that was closely...

“And in your godliness, brotherly kindness . . .” (2 Peter 1:7). Real Christian discipleship will include practical brotherly love. A genuine love for God will invariably lead to a love for others. That’s what Jesus said of the two great commandments (Matt. 22:36-40) that summarize the Ten Commandments. The apostle John also related love for God and love for others: “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen” (1 John 4:20). The...

Joe Biden returned to the White House Sunday and, as usual, had the boot-licking media waiting for him. As he approached the press area, a reporter asked him about his opinion on reconciliation and amnesty. Biden said it “remains to be seen” if a pathway to citizenship will be included in the Democrats’ forthcoming reconciliation package. Biden, upon arriving back at the White House over the weekend, answered a question about whether a pathway to citizenship needs to be in the reconciliation bill, telling reporters that “there needs to be a pathway for citizenship; whether it can be in immigration...

While searching for events where pistols were fired to defend against bears, I came across several references to an event that happened to Larry Kelly of Magnaport fame, in Alaska. The event was described by him in full, first-person detail. There were several variations online. Some claimed the event showed how ineffective pistols were for defense against bears. Several claimed the ammunition was at fault. Here is an example from thefiringline.com:Several years ago I read a story about Larry Kelly, owner of Magna-Port and hundgun hunter Hall of Famer, has told a story about having to share a hunting cabin...

White privilege is a myth. A relic of a time that no longer exists and that none of us living and raising kids today have ever really experienced. There was once a time when legal and cultural advantages were offered to whites, but those days are gone and pretending otherwise is causing great damage to children and our society. White Privilege Talk Harms Children Psychologically White privilege is a concept which hurts both white and non-white children, albeit in different ways. For white children, you steal from them the ability to feel pride in who they are, their ancestors, and...

As parents gear up for a new school year, there is more on their minds than just checking off their back-to-school shopping list – which will cost more this year, by the way, thanks to Joe Biden’s reckless tax and spend policies that have caused record inflation. Instead, moms and dads across Ohio and this country are facing much more serious questions about their children’s well-being and education – questions that the big hand of government is attempting to dictate and control. Will school be fully in person after a disastrous year of online learning? Will masks be mandated for...

(RNS) — David Platt had a dream for the future of McLean Bible Church. The largely conservative northern Virginia church across the Potomac from Washington had grown from a group of five families in the 1960s to a congregation of more than 10,000 spread across several campuses, attracting politicians and business leaders to the church’s evangelical message and values. Much of that growth had happened under former pastor Lon Solomon, a Jewish convert known for his Bible preaching, zeal for evangelism and passion for serving children with special needs. Platt, a bestselling author and speaker, recounted the church’s history in...

After conservative Salem Radio Network talk host Larry Elder’s stunning court victory this week reinstating him to the September 14th ballot the “tectonic plates” have indeed just shifted in the race to recall California’s bloviating and incompetent Gov. Gavin Newsom. Newsom—once San Francisco’s mayor who almost single-handedly turned the city memorialized by singer Tony Bennett as the place “I left my heart” into a feces-laden homeless encampment that is dead last on any family’s list of vacation destinations—managed to become Governor of California through a combination of dumb luck (follow the bouncing ball: his aunt was once married to Nancy...

Tunisia's president dismissed the government and froze parliament on Sunday in a dramatic escalation of a political crisis that his opponents labelled a coup, calling their own supporters to come onto the streets in protest. President Kais Saied said he would assume executive authority with the assistance of a new prime minister, in the biggest challenge yet to the democratic system Tunisia introduced in a 2011 revolution. Crowds of people quickly flooded the capital and other cities to support Saied, cheering and honking car horns in scenes that recalled the revolution, which triggered the Arab Spring protests that convulsed the...

There is a lot of incoming information from government and the private sector promoting the vaccine. Recently, there has been a significant uptick in compulsory demands for taking the COVID vaccine. This forced vaccination approach has made many people start to question why this coordinated pressure campaign has increased with such ferocity. As a result of such one-side information, people are increasingly skeptical. In this video below you can review the counter-position for why people do not want to take the vaccination shot. [Direct Link] I am not sure who produced it, but CTH is sharing it in an effort to...
