If you’ve felt over the last year that you’re a lab rat running through a maze, you’re not imagining it. The government has plans for you. A 2018 Pew Research poll revealed that a majority of Americans opposed the use of animals in scientific research. Opponents argue the practice is “inhumane and unnecessary.” While certainly an interesting topic of discussion and I’m certain the debate will rage on for years to come, I am more interested in another animal experiment that has gone on for the past year. I call it “the Great un-American experiment of 2020…and beyond.” In this...

Late last month, in a fit of woke rebellion, the New York City Department of Education’s Panel for Education Policy (PEP), voted down the contract for the city’s gifted and talented (G&T) test. The test is given every year to students entering Kindergarten to third grade who are interested in enrolling in a districtwide or citywide G&T program. This program has been enormously successful and has benefited many Gotham children. Previously, Mayor Bill de Blasio (D - New York City) and Chancellor Richard Carranza (D - Dystopia), never shy to virtue signal, announced they were going to sacrifice gifted children...

Ted Becker never worried much about his pronouns, but he has still found the language of others to be hurtful and demeaning. That’s because people use adjectives to describe him that are not at all descriptions he identifies with. So Becker now has made public his list of “preferred adjectives” he’d like people to use when referring to him. “Here are the adjectives I identify with,” Becker put on social media. “‘Cool, witty, handsome, innovative, fun.’ Please use one of these adjectives when describing me.”

Iran's mullahs are backed into a corner and looking for an easy deal from Joe Biden, given the shambles their regime has become. Iran's Minister of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Alavi, made a rather strange analogy in his recent interview: "[Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei issued a fatwa (religious decree) in February 2010 stating that acquiring atomic bomb for Iran was considered a sin and the Islamic Republic would not pursue it. But if a cat is pushed to a corner, it may behave differently than if it was free. If Iran is pushed in that direction (production of...

Source: Myra AdamsToday we conclude our two-part study exploring the Meaning of Light in the Bible. Last week in the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, we discussed how God created light to give life to all living things. Light symbolizes God’s Glory. He is light. His holiness, presence, goodness, and above all, His love shines upon us when we show our love for Him by showing love for each other.Jesus said, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).In the New Testament, the Meaning of...

Energy issues are the kind of thing that causes significant numbers of people escape into fantasy worlds rather than consider reality. Energy issues are boring to many people, full of the sort of things the current wizards of academia and the press consider “white privilege” and “patriarchal” thinking -- you know, the kind of thing in which correct answers matter more than subjective feelings. Significant numbers of people escape into fantasy worlds rather than consider reality, which is not only boring, but often harsh enough that it requires us to make hard choices. Escapism seems preferable. SNIP On the other...

GHISLAINE Maxwell poses in never-before-seen pictures which were a gift to her domineering, fraudster father. The alleged pimp of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein grew up in a world of incredible privilege and wealth - and is now rotting in prison ahead of her trial this summer. These new pictures offer a glimpse into Ghislaine's life as a young socialite, who was besotted with her dad - media tycoon Robert Maxwell. According to photographer Mike Maloney, she reminded him that she was "daddy's girl" as she commissioned the secret portrait shots as a gift for her father's yacht. Mike, Robert Maxwell's...

I've written thousands of columns and commentaries. This is the most important I've ever written. This is my chance to play the modern-day Paul Revere. "The commies are coming. The commies are coming." Yes, I am reporting a communist takeover. But the leader of this attack is not who it appears to be. Republicans, conservatives and capitalists are sick right about now. We're in shock. We can't believe Donald Trump is no longer president. We can't believe Americans voted against the greatest economy -- perhaps in history -- the greatest jobs picture ever, the greatest improvement in middle-class incomes ever...

The de Blasio administration is planning to eliminate one of two ice skating rinks run by the Trump Organization in the northern part of Central Park, despite strong public opposition. Over 4,000 people have signed a petition decrying a $150 million plan to refurbish Lasker Rink and Pool near W. 106th Street, saying that it will deprive local residents of much-needed recreation space. The renovation will reduce the size of the rink area, leaving room for just one rink for skaters, and also make a public swimming pool operated by the city’s Parks Department smaller. The Trump Organization’s 20-year concession...

Are we still permitted to question and debate the mask and lockdowns, or is the new inquisition muzzling us in more than a figurative way? Many – including physicians and health-care workers of all stripes – have been skeptical of the mask (as well as the curfews and ‘stay at home’ orders) and their prophylactic efficacy: What do these layers of fabric do to stop a virus that is so small it almost obeys the rules of the quantum world? People speak of ‘particularates’ and ‘expectoration’ with solemn and grave tones, as though viruses could vector no other way, when...

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s steps to politicize the military to a degree never seen before means a culture war on the conservative half of America. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has made it absolutely clear that the U.S. military’s top priority is not facing external threats, such as the Chinese or Iran’s aggressive strategy in the Middle East or foreign terrorist groups. Instead, Austin sees the main threat as coming from within the U.S. military. In his confirmation hearings, Austin said that he would make it his priority to combat racism and extremism in the United States military. Once confirmed as...

I don’t normally struggle when writing a column. I just have thoughts in my head and type them out. This is different because I’ve never had to write a column about a friend who died, let alone a friend I’ve never met. But that’s who Rush Limbaugh was to me and millions more. I never met Rush. I wish I had, and in the “six degrees of Kevin Bacon” world I was one degree away through four friends, but I never pressed the issue because it felt inappropriate to exploit a friendship for a fanboy moment. Plus, I didn’t want...

Bert, at 85 years of age, always wanted a pair of soft spike golf shoes like Freddie Couples, so, seeing some on sale after his round, he bought them. He was so delighted with his purchase, he decided to wear them home to show the Mrs. Walking proudly into the house, he sauntered into the kitchen and said to his wife, "Notice anything different about me? Margaret at age 83 looked him over and replied, "Nope." Frustrated as all get out, Bert stormed off into the bathroom, undressed and walked back into the kitchen completely naked except for the new...

When I spoke out in favour of free speech last week on Channel 4 News, I was unpleasantly surprised to find just how unpopular this view now is with the fashionable people who watch that programme. My great sin was to suggest that the Britain of my youth had been much more free than it is now. Oh, yes, they sneered, free for people like you – white, heterosexual males. They suggested that, for anyone else, the country was a seething pit of racial and sexual bigotry.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recorded their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey on Wednesday and Thursday - just hours before the couple issued a parting shot after being stripped of roles and patronages by the Queen, it has been revealed. The interview is due to be broadcast on Sunday March 7 and a person close to the couple told the Sunday Times that Meghan believes the prime-time broadcast gives her the 'loudest way she'll get her voice back'. The Royals are braced for the couple to hit back at the Palace in the interview that was filmed days before The...

Washington (AFP) - US President Joe Biden's attorney general nominee pledged Saturday to depoliticize the Justice Department and to vigorously prosecute the Donald Trump supporters who attacked the US Capitol. In testimony prepared for his confirmation hearing on Monday and Tuesday, federal appeals court judge Merrick Garland indicated he wants to remove the taint of political interference left on the department by Trump. He also promised to create clear guidelines for FBI investigations, amid allegations that the agency strayed deeply into politics in investigating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016 and then Trump in 2017-2018. In an apparent reference...

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) sent a letter on Wednesday to President Joe Biden expressing his opposition to the White House ending Trump administration immigration policies that protect Americans. “I have serious concerns regarding reports that you are planning to terminate the Trump Administration’s Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) policy and return to a catch-and-release policy with respect to persons crossing the border,” Hagerty posted on social media with a copy of the letter attached. Hagerty praised the U.S.-Mexico Joint Declaration negotiated by the Trump administration that kept asylum seekers in Mexico until their status could be adjudicated. That agreement included Mexico...
