Yesterday some nobody, wannabe writer, social justice twit released a hit piece “expose” about how posters on Baen’s Bar ... However, this was clearly part of a coordinated attack in order to materially harm our business, because immediately after the hit piece was released complaints were filed with the various internet companies Baen uses for services to pressure them into kicking us off the internet. This hit piece was presented as “evidence”. Without going into details the companies then contacted Baen about these “serious allegations” so last night Baen temporarily took down the Bar forum to protect the rest of...

CNN host Chris Cuomo was mocked on Twitter for lambasting a Texas politician while his brother, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, faces calls to resign and impeachment inquiries after an exclusive Post report found his administration covered up thousands of nursing home COVID-19 deaths. In a Thursday morning tweet, the younger Cuomo posted an article about a Texas mayor who stepped down from office after calling his constituents “lazy” amid a massive power outage. Cuomo asked his followers: “Resign or apologize and learn and become a better leader?” Twitter users couldn’t help but wonder if the television anchor was actually talking about...

Sturm Ruger & Co. is staffing up in order to meet the “historic surge” in gun demand that has depleted its inventory. The Southport, Connecticut-based gun maker has hired 250 employees, mostly in production, since the middle of 2020 to help replenish its stocks as the surge in demand caused combined inventories in its warehouses and distributors to decrease by 86%, or 290,000 units, last year. Retailer inventory of Ruger also remains low. The hiring spree resulted in a 30% increase in production during the second half of 2020. Ruger is continuing its hiring spree today. “We are working hard...

Billionaire Bill Gates told CNBC on Thursday that former President Donald Trump “probably should be allowed back on” the social media services that he was removed from during the final weeks of his term. “I think at some point he probably will be allowed back on and probably should be allowed back on,” Gates said in an interview with “Squawk Box” co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin. Most major social media companies, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, blocked or restricted Trump’s accounts during the last few weeks of his presidency after he continued to claim that the results of the 2020 presidential...

Bujold, and Harry Turtledove, none of whom fit into the conservative author narrative. Let’s stop right here before we go any further. Sanford is engaging in a shell game. Despite the qualifying paragraph, he’s doing everything possible here to depict Baen Books as being predominantly a publisher of what he calls “socially conservative writers.” Such a conveniently vague three words those are—which papers over what is in fact a very diverse group of authors. How diverse? Well, let’s start with me. Which I think is appropriate not simply because I’m writing this essay but because over the past (almost) quarter...

Rush Limbaugh TV- Feminists Won't Eat Meat Rush's views on radical feminists are one of the most frequently misunderstood and deliberately misrepresented things about the EIB Network. The fact is, "radical" feminists are as different from rank-and-file women as "radical" environmentalists are from those of us who want clean air, water and land. Both factions have hijacked movements that started out with issues we can all support, and twisted them to their own agendas. This is why Rush has said that there are only about a dozen "FemiNazis" in the world - not that it has stopped liberals from wrongly...

When Joe Biden met with a group of mayors and governors last week he bluntly told them to get ready for a legislative defeat: his proposed minimum wage hike was unlikely to happen, he said, at least in the near term. “I really want this in there but it just doesn't look like we can do it because of reconciliation,” Biden told the group, according to a person in the room. “I’m not going to give up. But right now, we have to prepare for this not making it.” The comments, which were confirmed by two other people familiar with...

CBS is in a full-court press for gun control on its evening entertainment television shows. The bad guys are always white supremacists who use machine guns — supposedly AR-15s — to commit mass public shootings. Criminals in Mexico supposedly get machine guns from the United States. A father’s desire to protect his family only leads to tragedy when his daughter gets into the gun safe and uses the weapon in a mass public shooting. And guns in the home pose a danger for children. Gun registration is necessary for solving crime. NBC isn’t to be left out, showing a woman...

The deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol has prompted calls to step up security around federal properties in Washington, but D.C. officials and locals say the idea of putting permanent fences around those sites is a step too far. Today, a steel-bar fence as high as 12 feet and topped with razor wire encloses a 3-square-mile area around the Capitol building, where rioters last month toppled bicycle-rack barriers and overwhelmed police officers to disrupt Congress’ certification of the Electoral College vote. Armed National Guardsmen now patrol the fence perimeter, which is backed by concrete Jersey barriers in some...
