President Trump took aim at Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for opposing his challenge to 2020 election results on Monday even as he called on voters to turn out in record numbers to support Republican Senate candidates in the state’s critical runoff election. Trump ripped Kemp and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both Republicans, for their handling of his legal challenge in the state, telling a crowd of supporters that they were "terrified" of prominent Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams. The president signaled that he plans to aid a challenge to Kemp in the state’s next gubernatorial primary. "I’ll be here...

One day before the country roused itself from a holiday break, one of the most powerful families in Republican politics issued a double-barreled rebuke of President Trump. Dick Cheney, the former vice president, and Liz Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives, drew on their significant political capital and decades of experience in Washington to attack the president’s false claims of vote stealing and his undemocratic effort to overturn the election, which President-elect Joe Biden won.

Tanya Roberts’ longtime partner explained to The Post on Monday how the former Bond girl was mistakenly reported dead by her publicist. Lance O’Brien, 62, said the mix-up occurred during a conversation he had with the actress’ rep, Mike Pingel, on Sunday — in which O’Brien said he was “blubbering” after an “end of life” visit with Roberts at the hospital. “[Pingel] goes, ‘What happened?’ And I say, ‘I just said goodbye to Tanya, and I got to see her beautiful eyes one last time.’ And after that, I’m just blubbering,” O’Brien recalled. The call with O’Brien apparently prompted Pingel...

The NHS is at risk of being overwhelmed within three weeks in parts of the country, Britain’s four chief medical officers warned last night as hospital admissions overtook their first-wave peak. In a statement raising Britain’s Covid-19 alert level to five, Professor Chris Whitty and his counterparts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland said that they were not confident that the service could handle a further sustained rise in cases. Analysis showed that Britain was on course for 100,000 deaths by early February as another record number of infections led to official warnings that “the lives of our friends and...

A veteran returned a sword he stole from a statue of a Revolutionary War general 40 years ago, telling the head of the Massachusetts town's historical commission that he regretted taking it. Cindy P. Gaylord, the chair of Westfield's Historical Commission, said a man contacted the city hall saying he had the sword stolen from the town's statue of Gen. William Shepard in 1980, the Springfield Republican reported on Sunday. Gaylord agreed to give the man anonymity if he returned the bronze sword and arranged for him and his wife to drop it off at her home, she said.

China’s Generation Z is setting its own rules in the workplace by encouraging a growing philosophy of being lazy. They call it “touching fish”, a term borrowed from a Chinese proverb that states “muddy waters make it easy to catch fish”, which means one should take advantage of a crisis to chase personal gain. The philosophy gained prominence in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic as the country struggled to deal with its economic fallout. Young people slack off by refusing to work overtime, delivering medium-quality work, going to the toilet frequently and staying there for a long time, playing with...

The New York Stock Exchange said it no longer plans to delist three Chinese telecommunications giants. In a late Monday statement, the NYSE said it dropped the plans after "further consultation with relevant regulatory authorities in connection with Office of Foreign Assets Control." Hong Kong-listed shares of China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom rallied after news of the reversal. The announcement comes after the NYSE said on Dec. 31 that it would move to delist American depositary shares of China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom. The exchange had originally planned to drop those listings in order to comply...

Republican state senators in Georgia started a push on Monday to delay the Jan. 6 counting of electoral votes. At least a dozen have signed a letter directed to Vice President Mike Pence asking him to officially delay the count—and the number is still growing. “There’s about 16 or 18 of us now that signed this letter to the Vice President … asking him to delay the electoral vote for 10 to 12 days,” Sen. Brandon Beach told The Epoch Times. “We were going to get it to him tomorrow morning,” Beach said, adding that more Senators might still sign...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In light of recent events, Biden has updated his COVID plan to include not just a mask mandate, but a mask womandate as well. In a prepared statement given to his nurse and posted on Twitter, the completely legitimate and unquestioned president-elect apologized for the sexist language in his plan. "Listen folks-- we all make mistakes. I realized this morning that my COVID plan includes a mask mandate, but not a womandate. I have amended and also awomended my plan to include a mask womandate," Biden read off his teleprompter. "We will also be adding a mask non-binarydate, a...

President Trump is jeopardizing the Republican Party’s chances of keeping both Senate seats from Georgia by trying to overturn the election results, a top GOP-aligned pollster claims. Frank Luntz said that it is possible incumbent Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue could lose their January 5 runoff elections because Trump’s calling into question the integrity of the vote could depress GOP turnout. Loeffler and Perdue are running against Democratic challengers Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, respectively. The two races are critical to the Republicans keeping their Senate majority. If they both lose, Democrats would have 50 Senate seats with...

A new minimum wage increase will take effect in Colorado on New Year’s Day, bringing wages to $12.32 an hour, or $9.30 for tipped workers. The 2.7% statewide increase is based on language in the Colorado Constitution, which mandates annual inflation adjustments based on the consumer price index. Colorado voters approved a constitutional amendment in 2016 enshrining the annual wage increase in the state’s governing document.

“If you cannot define a problem clearly, you cannot propose a solution. ‘Systemic racism’ or ‘institutional racism’ or ‘implicit racism’ is a miasmatic, deliberately vague charge. Name the racist policy, name the racist person, so we can all fight the racism together.” -Ben Shapiro on Systemic Racism I completely, 100% agree with this quote by Ben Shapiro on systemic racism. Frankly, I think it is something that the right, especially young conservatives that are the future of the conservative movement, needs to keep in mind and accept as the truth about systemic racism. Right now, we’re letting the left set...
