The enemy comes roaring like a flood against saints who have no part in darkness. Satan can make it seem as if everything in their lives is coming apart: their prayers seem hindered, heaven seems as brass, and they suffer afflictions on all sides. At such times their heart might whisper condemnation: “You lack faith. If you only believed more righteously — if you were closer to Jesus, if your thoughts weren’t so evil — none of this would be happening to you. You would be on top, like those you see around you. You would enjoy abundance and hear...

We have all heard on the media and on TV that solar and wind electrical energy is getting cheaper, and often much cheaper than that generated by coal, gas, oil, or nuclear. Here are some recent article titles: "Solar and wind costs continue to fall as power becomes cleaner," Forbes, April 30, 2020 "Solar power will cost less than coal, Bloomberg Green, June 2, 2020; Solar and wind power will cost less than coal by 2030 according to one analyst's math," Barrons, Energy Features, Nov 25, 2019 However, there are enormous scientific, technical, and economic barriers that these "new" energy...

"By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even regarding things to come" (Heb. 11:20). When you disobey God, you forfeit joy and blessing. Isaac is a fascinating Old Testament character. He was Abraham's long-awaited son, the covenant child, the child of promise. Yet aside from that, he was rather ordinary, passive, and quiet. Just over two chapters of Genesis center on him, whereas the other patriarchs (Abraham, Jacob, and Joseph) command about twelve chapters each. In the final analysis, Isaac believed God and submitted to His will. But overall, his spiritual character seems more reluctant than resolute. After a famine...

Migrants, and more important, the people who traffic and profit from migrants, are like the stock market: They're forward-looking. They make decisions now based on what they see coming down the pike.So surprise, surprise, the media's crowning of Joe Biden president, along with many world leaders congratulating him and conducting their affairs of state with him, even as legal challenges are going on, has sent a message to Central America's gangs and Mexico's cartels, who control migrant smuggling routes to the U.S. It's time to profit. It's time to go. A new border surge has begun, in anticipation of a...

In the recent presidential election, Wisconsin had a high turnout, 72.3 percent, of which Joseph Biden took 49.6 percent — 250,000 more votes than Hillary Clinton in 2016 — and enough to win. For a candidate whose rallies virtually no one attended, and whose political party, in response to recent rioting and looting, was passive, that's pretty good. Or is it? The answer to that may depend on the kind of ballots that were cast — whether they were cast in person or through the mail. Frank Miele describes the process of the first: [Y]ou first make an active choice...

“Like watching Bigfoot riding the Loch Ness Monster…” – I want to start this morning’s Roundup with an incident involving Creepy China Traitor Joe Potato Head Biden and CBS reporter Bo Erickson, because it is incredibly instructive of the media’s utter and complete failure – frankly, refusal – to do its job related to the fake President-elect. Let’s start with a tweet Erickson sent out yesterday: Note the phrase “protective press pool”. “PROTECTIVE…press…pool”. PROTECTIVE??? What in the hell does that even mean? Have you ever seen any corrupt reporter at any of the fake news media outlets refer to the...

America has traditionally been known as a haven for free speech. Yes, you can’t scream “fire” in a crowded theater and cause a panic, but you can always stand up for what you believe in. Students, for better or worse, stood up against the government to protest the war in Vietnam. African-Americans marched for Civil Rights. Conservatives advocate for reduced taxes and less gun control. But the issue of free speech on college campuses never crossed their minds. They were free to say what they thought. Our system has been strengthened by that free speech because it brings debates into...

For days after the election, adherents to the QAnon conspiracy movement had been trying to get President Donald Trump’s attention with constant false claims about voter fraud connected to a company that makes voting machines. On Thursday, they celebrated. Trump tweeted in all-caps about a conspiracy theory that baselessly alleges that Dominion Voting Systems, a company that makes voting machines, “deleted” millions of Trump votes, citing a report on the far-right cable news outlet One America News Network. While the theory has already been debunked — including by Chris Krebs, director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which is...

Not only was the Dominion software written in Serbia in order to evade accountability and by guys who tie back to the University of Massachusetts, the Sandia National Laboratories in California, the DOE (US Department of Energy) and Raytheon, as explained by u/throwaway777 here: https://thedonald.win/p/11QRov3aNV/dominion-software-engineer-publi/ but this super-comprehensive write-up: https://srbin.info/svet/the-serbian-software-and-the-election-fraud-in-usa/ also explains the broader picture, such as: "Dominion software’s external network is configured to the Serbian IP address. The internet network being used by that IP address is SBB. The IP address leads us to a location in Belgrade, Zoran Djindjic Boulevard. In the building located at the aforementioned address...

We have been discussing the embarrassing failure of the media to ask President-elect Joe Biden any difficult questions throughout the campaign and creating a type of protective journalistic cocoon around him. That pattern has continued after the election with pre-selected reporters asking laughingly soft ball questions to Biden while continuing a virtual blackout on such stories as the Hunter Biden influence peddling controversy. Then something bizarre happened yesterday. A reporter actually asked Biden a real question. CBS News reporter Bo Erickson asked Biden about whether he would support the CDC rather than the teacher’s union on closing schools. Biden’s response...

Destructive saboteurs purposely damaged at least two dozen businesses in Portland on Friday night. The Portland Police Bureau declared that the night of civil unrest resulted in "widespread destruction to businesses in Hollywood neighborhood." The Portland Police Bureau stated that a "group of nearly 50 people gathered" and then "vandalized many businesses including many small businesses in their path." The vandals were "dressed in all black and seen wearing helmets and carrying umbrellas." Police found that the violent black bloc anarchists "vandalized and destroyed private property in both Downtown and Northeast Portland." The rioting group also vandalized the Mexican Consulate.

We are constantly told by our political leaders and the compliant media that a pandemic lockdown is absolutely necessary if we are ever to defeat the COVID virus. Mask mandates, quarantine camps, self-isolating, limited sociability, the stoking of public fear and panic, the shuttering of businesses and the attendant cratering of the economy ha> ve become, once again, the false solution to a politically ginned-up crisis -- déjà vu all over again. The trouble is: none of this works, none of this is necessary. Texas Tech professor Gilbert Berdine sums up: “After taking the unprecedented economic depression into account, history...

Pam Kelley was 18 years old in the summer of 1973 when she accepted a fateful ride in a Jeep from a male member of the Kennedy family on Nantucket. Joseph P. Kennedy II flipped the Jeep on a sandy cutoff and Pam Kelley was thrown out and paralyzed from the waist down. She would never walk again. She spent the rest of her life in a wheelchair. Pam Kelley Burkley died Friday at the age of 65. She lived 25 years longer than the doctors had predicted back in 1973. She is survived by, among others, a 31-year-old daughter...

Not Your Average King – A Homily for the Feast of Christ the King The readings for this Feast of Christ the King evoke three images of Christ as King. All of them are to some extent paradoxical because they emphasize things we don’t usually associate with kings. They also tell us that we have already met King Jesus even if we don’t realize it. Let’s look at these three images of our Lord Jesus Christ, King of all Creation: I. Caring King – The first reading, from Ezekiel 34, speaks of the Lord as a shepherd who cares...

Teaching little children when life begins is not only vital to helping them understand the morality of life issues, it’s also fundamental in fighting progressive ideology taught to children in schools, authors Brooke Stanton and Christiane West said in an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We can have an impact now on elementary school children and long-term impact on the culture, on the crisis of human life,” West told the DCNF. “Having a book that starts them off correctly and hopefully keeps them protected against false information later is part of the goal of this book as well.”...

For the first time in recent memory we will be unable to visit our son and his family in Hawaii for Thanksgiving. The quarantine requirements have been lifted if we take and get a negative result on a COVID test. (Something like 90% of the positive results on such tests are false positives.) But it’s a very long flight during which we’d have to be masked in flight and at the airports and it’s more than we can endure. (Even if we assumed the masks were efficacious, which I don’t think they are -- indeed, I think they are counterproductive...

I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest, says the...

A shocking study about Ireland’s new abortion law provides gruesome details about how unborn babies are being stabbed in the heart with a poisonous solution so painful that even the American Veterinary Medical Association advises anesthesia for animals being euthanized. Yet, no such protections exist under Irish law for unborn babies who are capable of feeling pain, pro-life leaders in the country said this week. Published in the journal BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the study interviewed 10 Irish doctors who do late-term abortions. They admitted to researchers that they “kill” unborn babies in “brutal” procedures that...
