Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) made a stunning reversal of her position on filling the vacancy left by Ruth Bader Ginsburg. According to a report from Alaska Public Media, Murkowski now can’t rule out voting to confirm a nominee before the election. “I know everybody wants to ask the question, ‘will you confirm the nominee?’” she said. “We don’t have a nominee yet. You and I don’t know who that is. And so I can’t confirm whether or not I can confirm a nominee when I don’t know who the nominee is.”

BOSTON (AP) — There’s the windup, the pitch — and the vote. Election officials in Boston are expected to approve Fenway Park as an early voting venue when they meet Thursday, after Red Sox owner John Henry offered the storied ballpark for voters hesitant to cast ballots indoors. City officials toured the park and have said it meets their guidelines. If formally cleared as a venue, Bostonians could vote at Fenway on Oct. 17 and 18.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A 13-year-old Utah boy with autism was shot by police after his mother asked for help getting him hospital mental-health treatment and officers agreed to talk with him, police footage released Monday showed. The videos show Salt Lake City officers chasing him down an alley after they arrive at his home, then yelling at him to get on the ground. The boy collapses after a series of shots ring out, moaning, “I don’t feel good. I don’t feel good.” He survived but suffered broken bones and pierced organs, the family's attorney has said. His mother,...

Shawn Steffee, the business agent of Boilermakers Local Union 154, located in Pittsburgh, Pa., announced that Local 154 endorsed President Trump for re-election. Local 154 has about 1,500 members who work in the power plants and other similar plants. He said: Joe Biden's ban on fracking would put me and everyone I know out of work. Crap trade deals. And now this. Gimme a break, we're not asking for much. But Joe Biden is a disaster. Mr. Steffee spoke at the Pennsylvania CPAC event on September 19, 2020 in Washington, Pa. He said the journeyman welders in his union are...

I know Nancy Pelosi's white roots have already grown out since her infamous visit to that hair salon. But thanks to Donald Trump bringing it up at every awesome rally, it's not stale news yet! The whole incident would've blown over in a jiffy if she'd had the humility and Erma Bombeckesque sense of humor to say, "Sorry, my bad. I just wanted to look my best for my voters." But no! Nancy herself blew the incident into A Thing by projection, by attempting to gaslight the American voter by blaming the hair salon for setting her up. Basically a...

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Democrats on Wednesday proposed a sweeping bill to curb presidential abuses, a pitch to voters weeks ahead of Election Day as they try to defeat President Donald Trump, capture the Senate from Republicans and keep their House majority. The legislation, a wide-ranging package of new and revised bills, would limit the president’s pardon power, strengthen laws to ban presidents from receiving gifts or payments from foreign governments, better protect independent agency watchdogs and whistleblowers from firing or retribution and require better reporting by campaigns of foreign election interference.

New report from Senate Republicans alleges that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million payment from the wealthy wife of Moscow's former mayor, amid a slew of other financial transactions and entanglements that federal government officials warned presented conflicts of interest as the former vice president spearheaded the Obama administration's Ukraine policy. Democrats have dismissed the Republican report, which was released Wednesday, as playing up Russian misinformation, and the 87-page document did not demonstrate that Hunter Biden's financial entanglements impacted U.S. policy. But it emphasized that government officials flagged concerns about potential conflicts of interest...

In 1988, when Iran’s rulers brutally executed over 30,000 political prisoners, including teenagers and pregnant women, the world community kept silent. In fact, to this date, the United Nations has not formally investigated this unprecedented crime against humanity. Students of history know that the case was raised at the time but the diplomatic community refused to pay due attention and did not hold the ayatollahs accountable for what a number of experts have described as the worst crime against humanity in the second half of the 20th century for political convenience. And history has proven that was a major mistake with...

"How was everybody's summer? Good? Mine was great," Ellen DeGeneres said sarcastically in her first monologue for the new season of her talk show. "Super terrific!" she added as she put two thumbs up. After introducing her virtual audience, DeGeneres got right to it. "As you may have heard, this summer there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show and then there was an investigation," the talk show host said. "I learned that things happened here that never should have happened. I take that very seriously. And I want to say I am so sorry to the...

Last Updated Sep 23rd, 2020 at 11:32 am ESPN host Max Kellerman said during the sports network's morning program "First Take" that "extremist right-wing agitators" are the ones responsible for the violent riots that have taken place in American cities since the death of George Floyd. Speaking to co-host Stephen A. Smith, Kellerman said that "93% of the protests are peaceful," though the origin of Kellerman's precise number is unknown. The remaining 7%, he said, were either people blocking traffic, innocents retaliating against police aggression, or radical conservatives posing as protesters. "The vast, overwhelming majority are peaceful, and by the...

AUSTIN, Texas – Almost immediately after President Donald Trump’s surprise 2016 election, illegal immigration fell so precipitously that, for the first time in memory, government detention centers along the Texas border remained nearly empty for months afterward. The phenomenon, characterized by a 70 percent decline in apprehensions, was called “the Trump Effect†because aspiring migrants who’d attentively heard Trump’s tough campaign rhetoric about coming border walls and immigration law enforcement figured the better choice was to just stay home.  But an equal and opposite “Biden Effect†is in the offing, one where aspiring migrants south of the border have...

President Trump’s recent directive stopping Critical Race Theory training in federal agencies is a clear affirmation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of an America in which people are “not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.†Calling Critical Race Theory training “a sickness that cannot be allowed to continue,†Trump took a bold stand for the vision of racial equality promoted by Dr. King and against the left-wing narrative about America that has crept into many of our cultural institutions. Russ Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, informed...

Former Vice President Joe Biden attempted to assure voters on Monday that Republican efforts to paint him as a “radical socialist” were inaccurate, but may have inadvertently taken a swipe at his vanquished progressive rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) Biden, who has struggled to make inroads with his party’s left wing, was asked during an interview with a local Fox affiliate in Wisconsin if he was concerned about recent claims President Donald Trump made alleging the Democrat ticket is a “trojan horse” for more radical elements of the progressive movement.

I showed in my May 10th article Why herd immunity to COVID-19 is reached much earlier than thought that inhomogeneity within a population in the susceptibility and in the social-connectivity related infectivity of individuals would reduce, in my view probably very substantially, the herd immunity threshold (HIT), beyond which an epidemic goes into retreat. I opined, based on my modelling, that the HIT probably lay somewhere between 7% and 24%, and that evidence from Stockholm County suggested it was around 17% there, and had been reached. I then showed in a July 27th update article[1] that mounting evidence supported my...

VIDEO Watch Joe Biden avoid answering a question while wearing a mask despite the fact his questioner is in another location. Does he think that the COVID-19 virus can travel through the fiber optic lines? Also of interest is that he hasn't yet been programmed by his handlers as to how to answer the question about whether or not he would pack the Supreme Court. Therefore, as of now, on any issues dealing with the Supreme Court he remains in Potted Plant mode.

Hunter Biden’s financial dealings with Ukrainian, Russian and Chinese businesses created potential “criminal financial, counterintelligence and extortion concerns,” according to a report by two Senate committees. The report details a series of wire transfers between Biden and a businessman with extensive ties to the Chinese Communist Party. The report, written by the Senate Homeland Security and Senate Finance committees, also states that State Department officials repeatedly raised concerns about Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma Holdings. One official testified that he told Joe Biden in October 2015 that his son’s links to Burisma “enabled Russian disinformation efforts.” U.S. banks flagged suspicious...

For a long time, other nations have been free riders on America’s innovative pharmaceutical industry. Worse, they have enacted socialist price controls to limit what they pay knowing that the largest market would pick up the slack to ensure a steady supply of new lifesaving drugs. It needs to stop, but President Trump’s recent executive order is not the right way to do it. Earlier this month, the president signed his “Most Favored Nations” Executive Order to test a program limiting prescription medication payments made through Medicare Part B and Part D to the lowest rate paid in similarly developed...
