Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has decided to bring the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act up for consideration in the Senate; meanwhile, over 80 times in the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has blocked efforts to bring up for a vote this bill that will simply require life-saving medical care to be given to infants who survive abortion. Democrats have tried to argue that the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is unnecessary because we already have protections in place and that doctors will be convicted under state homicide laws. They have even gone so far as to say born-alive infants do not...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) released his plan to give free, full-day child care for every child beginning at infancy and free preschool education to all children starting at age three at a cost of $1.5 trillion over the next ten years. The federally funded programs would be administered by states and tribes in partnership with local public school systems, and the money would also theoretically pay for workers who run the programs and infrastructure costs.

Subway crimes spiked this January compared to the same month last year — and the number of robberies more than doubled, police said Monday. There were 261 major felonies recorded in the subway system this January — as opposed to 201 in January 2019, according to NYPD data shared at the MTA’s board monthly transit committee meeting. Of the 75 robberies reported, the NYPD made 58 arrests, Transit Bureau Assistant Chief Vincent Coogan said. Last January there were only 35 robberies with 31 arrests, according to the NYPD. Coogan tried to downplay the rising numbers — but admitted that crime...

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's security situation has been branded 'unworkable' as it's revealed that the couple's cost could soar to £20 million a year. Experts claimed the couple's jet-set lifestyle could leave the police unable to cope as they undertake trips to various countries in order to establish their own brand away from the British Monarchy. A row has reportedly broken out as to who will foot the bill to keep the couple and their son Archie safe as they continue to live in Canada. The independent couple could push costs to the extreme as they continue to act,...

Iran's deputy health minister has tested positive for coronavirus as the crisis deepened in the Islamic republic today. Iraj Harirchi was taken into quarantine just a day after sweating heavily at a press conference where he insisted that the outbreak was not as bad as feared. The virus's spread into the health ministry is the latest sign of Tehran's faltering efforts to contain the outbreak as the official death toll rose to 15 today. The regime has refused to seal off the holy city of Qom at the centre of the crisis even as pilgrims spread the virus around the...

The mainstream media will never admit it, but Donald Trump is responsible for the most remarkable economic boom that Black America has ever seen. For the past three years, this president has worked to ensure that America’s strong and growing economy works for all Americans, not just corporations and wealthy investors — and his efforts are already paying major dividends in our community. I’ve said this before and I will say it again — the best social program in the world is a good-paying job, not a welfare handout. Thanks to President Trump’s policies — including massive tax cuts...

Here we are – Fat Tuesday, Carnevale, Shrove Tuesday. The final debauchery prior to the Lenten season of penitence and prayer, mortifying the flesh, repentance of sins and almsgiving. So…laissez les bon temps rouler! Back in the day we’d always celebrate at Fishbones Rhythm Kitchen in downtown Detroit where they had the best catfish beignets, oysters Rockefeller, crayfish étouffée and Jambalaya this side of New Orleans. And one year we actually went to New Orleans for the last few days of Mardi Gras, it was crazy and fun and exhausting. It’s the sort of thing you should only do once and...

I’m writing more in anger than in sadness. As holder of an Eagle Scout badge, I went through the sadness stage back in 2013 when the Boy Scouts board caved to the LGBTQ lobby. Well, okay, I was pretty angry then, too, watching the saboteurs within and without the organization systematically undermine it in the name of “tolerance.” It didn’t matter that the Scouts won all their court battles, including at the Supreme Court, to maintain their moral standards. The saboteurs were intent on ending the Scouts’ common-sense, existentially necessary exclusion of boys who sexually desire males. And that was...

President Sanders, speaking from the White House yesterday, proposed/criticized/blamed ... " Um, er, no -- not really. It's not going to happen. This Bernie thing -- the rise of Bernie, the magnetism of Bernie, the radiance that shines from his curly white locks -- is more overrated than a luxury vacation package to Wuhan. Basically, that's because Sen. Bernie Sanders is a socialist. Oh, we've known that for decades -- so long, indeed, that we take for granted his commitment to government direction of whatever moves. A socialist? Sure. But what does that mean, apart from the way it describes...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is standing by the praise he extended to the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro in wake of mounting backlash from a contingent of Democratic lawmakers. Sanders, the leading Democratic presidential candidate, came under heavy criticism on Monday from a swath of Democrats, particularly those representing districts in Florida, after saying in a "60 Minutes" interview that it's "unfair to simply say everything" about the Communist Cuban revolution was bad. He reiterated those remarks during a CNN Town Hall in South Carolina on Monday night, saying that he's always been critical of authoritarian regimes, but that it...

Is it time to start the new #WeinsteinDidntKillHimself hashtag yet? – With Harvey Weinstein now headed off to prison on Rikers Island in New York City and holding so many deep, dark secrets about powerful Democrats and Hollywood figures in his creepy head, the countdown on how many days will pass before he suffers some form of highly-suspicious death has begun. Who knows? Maybe he will “Epstein” himself soon, or be the only person in a very crowded prison to somehow contract the Coronavirus. That would be, like, totally believable. Weinstein is a man who was a huge Democrat fundraiser...

CAIRO — Hosni Mubarak, who was president of Egypt until he was overthrown in 2011 during the Arab Spring, has died, multiple news outlets are reporting. He was 91. According to the New York Times and The Associated Press, Mubarak died after having surgery at a hospital in Cairo, Egyptian state TV reported Tuesday. He had been suffering from “health complications,” the AP reported, citing the outlet. Mubarak became president in 1981 after then-President Anwar Sadat was assassinated. Mubarak had been vice president at the time. Three decades later, the military forced Mubarak to resign in 2011 following 18 days...

Sen. Bernie Sanders may be on the cusp of both capturing the Democratic nomination and transforming his party as dramatically as President Donald Trump captured and remade the Republican Party. After his sweep of the Nevada caucuses, following popular vote victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, Sanders has the enthusiasm and the momentum, as the crucial battles loom in South Carolina on Saturday and Super Tuesday on March 3. The next eight days could decide it all. And what is between now and next Tuesday that might interrupt Sanders' triumphal march to the nomination in Milwaukee? One possible pitfall is...

Philip Haney was a good friend and source to the Glenn Beck Program, and he was a true 'Winter Soldier' if there ever was one. He was also a founding member of the DHS, and a whistleblower that exposed corruption during the Obama administration. Police are deeming his death an apparent suicide, but Glenn had a strong opinion about that. Watch this clip to hear Glenn's thoughts as he pays tribute to a true patriot.
