Gen. Michael Flynn has requested them, saying they likely contain exculpatory evidence. The phones, two BlackBerry models, “only recently” came into the government’s possession, said Flynn’s lawyer, Sidney Powell, a former prosecutor, in an Oct. 15 court filing (pdf). A 21-year-old woman surrendered her newborn to a Los Angeles fire station this week, shedding light on the power of Safe Surrender laws. The baby was taken to a downtown L.A. fire station at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and found to be in good health, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The child was then taken to a hospital. SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman is behind bars after Somerset police say she tried to get creative when stealing items from Walmart. Somerset police say Cathy White, 40, of Washington Court House, Ohio selected a tote and began filling it with more than $346 in merchandise. When White went to the self-checkout, loss prevention noticed she only scanned the tote. Police say employees stopped the woman before she was even able to leave Walmart. A Florida woman wanted for allegedly shoplifting at a Big Lots store was arrested after trying to make her getaway through a less traditional route: the ceiling.
