For complete transparency, I’ll state up front I completely support this effort to recall Governor Gavin Newsom. As a California resident, I’ve seen the dysfunction from our elected officials and the radical progressive ideas they push. As an American, I understand the need to fight Democrats tooth and nail, especially when their leadership has been as disastrous as it’s been in California. Erin Cruz is leading the effort to launch a recall vote against the Governor. We endorsed her campaign two years ago and we support this effort today. Newsom’s policies, from endorsing the sanctuary state status to removing parental...

COSTELLO: To most Americans it's an outrage -- a rape victim violated by seven men -- not only blamed for her own attack, but sentenced to prison and 200 lashes. The 19-year-old victim, interviewed by the Human Rights Watch organization, said: "Everyone looks at me as if I was wrong. I wanted to die." In Saudi Arabia, woman cannot travel without permission from a male relative. And that night, the Saudi victim -- without permission -- met a male friend to retrieve some photographs. Both were abducted and raped. She says: "The first man with the knife raped me. I...

In the United Kingdom, the push for LGBT-dominated curriculum in the public school system is really picking up steam with the start of the new academic year. It has become glaringly obvious that the goal of LGBT activists is not “acceptance” and “inclusivity” but rather complete domination and conversion. They aren’t looking to teach children to be “accepting” so as to create some peaceful future generation of nonjudgmental people, but rather to completely indoctrinate, brainwash, and transform all children into the next generation of gender-ambiguous, free-loving, God-denying, LGBT-identifying people. Sadly, they have been remarkably successful in their efforts thus far....

Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn will invoke his Fifth Amendment rights rather than testify before the House Intelligence Committee, Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell said in a letter Monday, according to The Washington Examiner. Powell, who replaced Flynn’s previous attorneys in June, wrote that Flynn refuses to be “paraded, harassed or disparaged” by Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), according to the Times. Powell has previously accused federal prosecutors of withholding evidence favorable to Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with the Russian ambassador. Flynn’s sentencing on the false statements charges was previously delayed to...

Among the multitude of migrants waiting in Mexico to get asylum in the United States are thousands of Africans boldly demanding passage into the country. They are far more coordinated than their Central American caravan counterparts and have formed an official organization to spread their message and advocate on their behalf. The group accuses Mexican authorities of discrimination and racism and is ordering Mexico to grant visas that allow them to continue their trek north to seek “protection” in America. For about three months the Africans have been holed up in Tapachula, in the southeast Mexican state of Chiapas bordering...

Judicial Watch announced today it obtained a two-page memo, dated May 16, 2017, by then-Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe detailing how then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein proposed wearing a wire into the Oval Office “to collect additional evidence on the president’s true intentions.” McCabe writes that Rosenstein said he thought it was possible because “he was not searched when he entered the White House.” The memo, which is redacted in key sections, purports to serve as a “contemporaneous recollection” of a meeting that day (“12:30 pm on 5/16/2017”) in Rosenstein’s office. The meeting included Rosenstein, Deputy Assistant AG for Intelligence...

Speaking in Iowa, former Vice President Joe Biden was confronted by a reporter who wanted to know why Iowans, with their current low unemployment rate, should shift from voting strongly for President Trump in 2016 to voting for Biden in 2020. When she asked Biden to make his case for why he should be elected, he answered, "I'm not going to." The exchange went like this: Reporter: Well, In Iowa, the unemployment rate is 2.5%; people say they are employed in Iowa and their small businesses are growing; Iowa picked Trump by — Biden: They were employed before he got...

Connor Betts’ life appeared to be improving in recent months. His drunken driving troubles were behind him. He’d passed the basic math classes that stymied his earlier college attempts. He went to counseling and registered for classes for the upcoming fall semester at Sinclair. But in April, the Oregon District gunman started taking steps toward what would end on Aug. 4 with the death of nine other people, including his sister, as well as himself. He bought a pistol. To keep his parents in the dark, federal authorities allege he enlisted an unwitting friend to acquire body armor, the upper...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told members of Congress over the weekend that President Donald Trump’s interest in Joe Biden’s Ukraine scandals could bring about a “new stage of investigation” and ultimately impeachment. “This violation is about our national security. The Inspector General determined that the matter is ‘urgent’ and therefore we face an emergency that must be addressed immediately,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to lawmakers on Sunday. “If the Administration persists in blocking this whistleblower from disclosing to Congress a serious possible breach of constitutional duties by the president, they will be entering a grave new chapter of...

John Solomon: Let me add a new fact that I just learned tonight. While talking to US diplomats today overseas in Europe I learned that on April 22, 2014 less than three weeks before the Burisma Holdings announced that Hunter Biden was joining their board, Vice President Joe Biden met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine and in that meeting, according to a transcript that I obtained tonight, Joe Biden specifically encouraged the Ukrainians to expand natural gas production with the help of Americans coming to the country. He set up the exact scenario that Hunter Biden just a few...

Authorities have arrested more than 100 people in a massive child sex trafficking sting in central Ohio. Yes, you heard correctly: 100 people, in the state of Ohio, for child sex trafficking. The Homeland Security special agent in charge of the investigation warned, "We are just scratching the surface... it's that way across the country." Human trafficking, particularly for sex, is a global enterprise -- and the United States is, unfortunately, the leader in driving demand. Because human trafficking is no small business, this Ohio sting operation involved more than 30 law enforcement agencies. As reported by The Columbus Dispatch,...

House Democrats are nearing a "tipping point" on impeachment in the wake of the Trump administration blocking a whistleblower complaint's release to Congress, with moderate Democrats who have resisted calls for impeachment privately indicating they could be swayed. But House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who sharpened her rhetoric over the weekend, is still not committing to moving forward with impeachment proceedings -- though she is keeping the door open. The reason: The substance of the complaint is not yet clear. And it's still unclear how the Trump administration will respond. Multiple Democratic sources told CNN that if the White House completely...

The Republican National Committee is putting a college twist on its grassroots voter registration efforts, seeking to mobilize President Donald Trump‘s supporters. The “Make Campus Great Again” initiative is offering dozens of participants training and free pizza, plus swag like campaign buttons and drink insulators to distribute. It started with trainings at four schools in Ohio last week. Organizers describe it as a national effort, with similar swing state training sessions already held or planned for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Denver and college Republicans in Michigan.

If the intelligence community has been pursuing a goal of vacating the result of the 2016 election with single-minded zeal, if we are a house divided thanks to identity politics and gobs of free-floating hate, doesn't all of that put our national house in disorder that can be exploited by a foe? Are we within spitting distance of another terrorist attack on the magnitude of a 9/11 thanks to our intelligence community devoting too many resources to trying to overthrow Trump?

Former Vice President Al Gore blasted President Trump for not taking climate change seriously, calling him the “face of global climate denial.” Appearing outside the United Nations, CNN climate correspondent Bill Weir asked the prominent climate change advocate about the “lack of American leadership.” “Well, I think, to focus on the good news side of it, that Donald Trump being the face of global climate denial actually is motivating the kind of uprising and enthusiasm we saw last Friday with the millions of young people marching.” …

Time for a sober assessment of the agreement. While it would be excessive to state that all Chinese Catholics oppose it, its application is problematic, dissident priests are persecuted, and underlying theological issues on religious liberty remains unsolved. From the Secret Text to the GuidelinesThe Vatican-China deal of 2018 was signed one year ago, on September 22, 2018. Its text remains secret to this date. We have been occasionally criticized for our reserved attitude about the agreement. Bitter Winter did not share the enthusiasm of some Vatican media, nor did it join the abrasive criticism of those who believe that Pope...

President Trump on Monday tweeted out a video mocking Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) over his failed 2012 presidential bid, comparing it with Trump's own success four years later. The video includes clips of election night 2012, where Romney lost to former President Obama, and 2016, where Trump defeated Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The video was posted just hours after Romney told reporters that he wants the Trump administration to give Congress the transcript of a highly controversial call between the president and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
