Oftentimes, the climate alarmists are their own worst enemy. It sounds reasonable enough that carbon emissions might have an impact on the climate, but it's a rather nasty thing to prove, especially when alarmist predictions fail, over and over again. It's far from the "scientific consensus." But the alarmists don't tone down their rhetoric — they ratchet it up to 11. They want to take away your plastic straws, your cars, your burgers. Then there's this behavioral scientist in Sweden who wants us to eat human flesh to deal with the effects of climate change. No, this isn't The Onion...

Guest-hosting the Merv Griffin Show in June of 1982, Welles describes Taxi as a show that has "kept television from being a criminal felony" just before bringing Kaufman on for a chat. He heaps praise on Kaufman's performance as Latka, adding, "I want to know why it is that you go and wrestle with people when you can act so well." Kaufman had shown up wearing a neck brace, an accessory signifying the end of his stint as a professional wrestler, one of the many inexplicable but somehow compelling choices in a short career that blurred the lines between...

Swiss bishop: Abu Dhabi declaration signed by pope, imam, eclipses Jesus as mediator, savior September 6, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A Swiss bishop has come out strongly against the Abu Dhabi Declaration signed by Pope Francis and a Muslim leader earlier this year, which among other things, states that the “diversity of religions” is “willed by God.” Bishop Marian Eleganti stated that the “unique and universal mediation of Jesus Christ is eclipsed” in the declaration. “From a Christian point of view, the unique and universal mediation of Jesus Christ is eclipsed in the Abu Dhabi Declaration, due to the double...

Justice Neil Gorsuch has two rules for his law clerks. “Rule No. 1: Don’t make stuff up,” he tells them. “Rule No. 2: When people beg, and say, ‘Oh, the consequences are so important,’ and when they say, ‘You’re a terrible, terrible, terrible person if you don’t,’ just refer back to Rule No. 1. And we’ll be fine.” He is sitting in a wood-and-leather chair in his Supreme Court chambers. He’s discussing originalism, the idea that the Constitution’s meaning is the same in 2019 as in 1788. “Our Founders deliberately chose a written constitution,” he says. “Its writtenness was important...

The guy flying the 3 kites is in his 80s, and he's from Canada. He comes to the Washington State International Kite Festival every year. His skin is like leather as he normally flies with his shirt off. He is deaf, so when he flies we hold our hands up and wave them for applause. He flies 2 with his hands and the 3rd one is attached to his waist. Enjoy! You must watch to the end to see the a mazing landing of that last kite! I would have those kites so tangled up, you could never get them...

This is an excerpt from my book, “Born From Above: a commentary on John 3″- available at The third chapter of John allows us to overhear a conversation between Nicodemus, the chief rabbi of Israel, and Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus was not trained in the rec- ognized rabbinic schools, but He was approved of God by signs and wonders as well as by the irrefutable doc- trine He taught. Nicodemus came to Him, and spoke for other leading rabbis when he acknowledged that Je- sus had come from God. The topic? The New Birth, as the entry into the long-awaited...

Cyber-assistant taught to duck sensitive topics Apple has programmed its Siri voice assistant to avoid politically charged subjects, and deflect or duck questions that require its AI to take a stand on issues, it emerged this week. From a tranche of documents leaked by a former contract worker who evaluated Siri responses to user questions for accuracy, The Guardian obtained a set of guidelines drawn up last year to ensure Siri's responses to "sensitive" topics comes across as neutral. In keeping with these guidelines, Siri's responses were revised to endorse "equality" while avoiding the word "feminism," even if asked directly....

July was the hottest month ever recorded according to a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) report. The scientists said July’s sizzling heat wave soared to an average global temperature 1.71 degrees Fahrenheit above the 20th-century average. The previous hottest month on record was July 2016. But Roy Spencer, a meteorologist and principal research scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, said NOAA’s analysis is wrong, because it’s based on a limited and “error-prone” collection of mostly ground-level thermometers. His own website chart, based on satellite recording of temperatures in the lower atmosphere, shows the July increase as only...

Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, said the nation is using an array of advanced centrifuges to enrich uranium in violation of its 2015 nuclear deal, the Associated Press reported. President Trump exited the deal last year and imposed crushing sanctions that have dealt a severe blow to Iran’s economy. Adding to the tension is the revelation an Iranian tanker that had been detained in Gibraltar — which Tehran promised wouldn’t go to Syria — was off its coast, satellite photos obtained by the AP showed.

Semantic infiltration within the political realm is typically defined, in its various forms, as unknowingly adopting the terms used by an opponent in such a way as to undermines one's own argument. With the help of their cronies in the mainstream media, leftists are exceptionally good at semantic infiltration. Take, for example, the words "illegal alien." The term is simple enough. When a citizen from a foreign country enters a country not of his origin, he is alien to that newly entered country because, by birth, he is not a citizen of it. When the individual has entered the new...

Richard Kirchner has worked as a contractor for the federal government providing threat assessments for 20 years. But in 2014, he found himself using his skills to help his wife, Kathleen, a lawyer, decide if she should take a case involving her brother. Kathleen’s brother, Brennan McCarthy, also an attorney, was being sued by Jarrod Ramos. McCarthy had represented a woman harassed by Ramos — the man who would years later be accused of killing five employees of the Capital Gazette in their newsroom. Based on his investigation, Kirchner said he saw many signs that Ramos could be headed down...

Dark political machinations occur. Huge sums of money change hands. The secular power intrudes upon the domain of the Church, creating a situation whereby the reigning Pope is deposed and another is set up in his place. The deposed Pope is silenced, made a monk and sent into exile. The new Pope is secretly beholden to the secular powers who afforded him his seat. They now expect to see their temporal and ecclesiastical goals supported and advanced by the authority of the Papal office. Indeed, they are willing to coerce the Holy Father if he shows any reticence —and they’ve...
